Yeah, we don't really need to play Game of Thrones. It's incredibly dumb and turns this less into a roleplay and more into a competition.

It's no secret that I'd take South Germany given the chance or that I'd kick the Ottomans out of Europe had I ever ended up in a situation where it would be possible.

I don't really see why we even need to "justify" our IC actions in the OOC. We aren't our nations, so it's silly to try to take the moral high ground here.

Pretty much. There's nothing stopping Germany and Italy from DOWing France after all of this is done, Germany taking a huge chunk of France's colonial empire and Italy taking Nice, Savoy, and Corsica, never mind the goodies that the Netherlands can get.
