Too bad. Me and Amph were just starting to get along.

I'll still be around-ish.

I meant to post here sooner, but I don't quite have the time to keep up with this game. As you guys may or may not have noticed, I haven't made a single post since my declaration of war, and I don't think that it's fair to play as a Great Power and not contribute anything to the IC. As fun as the drama is, I have a handful of other games (mostly with real life friends) that I need to attend to along with actual priorities like preparing for the GRE, moving back to college, getting my degrees, and all that other boring stuff that unfortunately needs to come first.

Like I said, I don't like the idea of joining a roleplay and then... not roleplaying. The game itself is fun, but this is a roleplay after.

But who will grace the RP with a hint of realism?

Tbh, I think that a heavy-handed GM could just as easily keep order. If he or she thinks something is stupid, he or she can make his or her players correct it.

Saying "No, don't do that. That's stupid." solves a lot of problems as a GM.
Tentatively interested. Will be watching this thread.

Once I get into contact with Keld, yes.

Who is this, and why is he important? Just out of curiosity.

Much obliged.
Pepperm1nts, I've been wondering. How do you do that thing with your signature changing with each refresh?
We need something. Maybe not Jesus but certainly something.
Are we really doing this whole lying in the OOC thing again? Like, this is beyond lame.

Why? Then he is just a martyr.

Could be argued either way.

@Prestige, you don't lose it for assassination attempts. I've had three all game. But how DOES it work? And what for?

Same. I've attempted to assassinate Bismarck twice.

Game of Thrones is all intrigue and backstabbing. If we play realistically (play our roles, because we are roleplayers as you observe), there is much less intrigue and hard feelings because everyone knows everyone is acting like their nation and isn't declaring war because they hate you OOC.

The amount of times that people have vehemently defended their IC actions despite obviously having ulterior motives is stupidly high. There's no need to pretend here in the OOC, is the point I'm trying to make.

I'm going to agree on this being super silly. It's painfully obvious sometimes, with some of you. Like, I've noticed some people trying to deny certain things in OOC, and getting really defensive about it like they've convinced themselves they're not full of shit. It's silly and unnecessary. There is no need to lie in OOC. It's especially silly when you get into an argument because you're trying to lie so hard about something.

Pretty much. This is a roleplay, after all, not a competition.

Everyone is human. Suppose Ampharos asked me "Hey, are you going to march to Paris this turn?" and I say "Nope, going to march a doomstack to Prague", I think there would be a few more Austrians at Prague (no offense Amph, I probably would too).

The obvious answer to that is "I can't tell you. Find out next update." There's a nice middle ground between being detrimentally honest and outright lying.
