So who do I send my orders to? :(
Who do I send my orders to?

Empire of the Great Qing

January 31, 1900

Edict of the Qing Imperial Government

The Qing Imperial Government shall move to crush the Boxer Rebellion posthaste and restore order to the Empire. The Beiyang Army under the command of Yuan Shikai shall lead this effort, and by the end of the year, the Empire of the Militia United in Righteousness will have been purged from the Empire!

The Empire shall continue on the path of military modernization, and once the Uprising has been quelled, begin the processes of administration reform and economic modernization, including the development of new industries and institutions that will bolster the Empire’s economy and push it forward into the Modern Era!

To spearhead the modernization of the military, the Qing Imperial Government shall assign Yuan Shikai and the Beiyang Army. With the assistance of Yuan Shikai and the Beiyang Army, the Qing Imperial Government hopes to have a modern military force by the end of the decade, one rivaling those of the Japanese and Russian Empires.

Under the guidance of the Empress, the Qing Imperial Government shall lead the Empire to prosperity!
I don't know how many of you are familiar with it, but there's an add-on for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox that allows you to customize websites by redesigning what their skins look like on your end. Only you can see the content, of course, but Stylish essentially allows you to make a custom skin. The Chrome and Firefox add-ons are here and here, respectively.

Has anyone played around with Stylish and RPGuild before? The current theme is a bit lacking, so I was curious to see if anyone has any themes, skins, or adjustments they've made.

Most likely, my speeches will be done by some spokesperson or something. The Empress is too great to address people on her own.
Speaking of which, I sent mine. Did you get them, Dutchbag?

People are their country but if the system of government is violently overthrown and replaced by something very different they're kicked. The Qing and Yuan Shikai aren't that different.

This is somewhat dependent on whether or not Yuan Shikai declares himself Emperor or not. It seems entirely within the realms of reason that he could instead turn the Chinese Republic into some kind of military junta centered on the Beiyang Army which would contrast starkly with the Qing Empire before it.
Regarding that poll earlier, are we playing as our nation or our government? This is important in case I want to put Yuan Shikai as President of China but not have ambitions to crown himself Emperor at some point.

The answer to this is relevant now because whether or not this happens determines whether or not I support the Boxer Rebellion.

Interests:

High Casual, Advanced, 1x1, Nation, and Tabletop

Mostly any genre, really. I’m up for just about anything within reason.

I usually only do OCs. I make an exception for real world or nation games.

At the moment, I’m mostly interested in playing post-apocalypse games, especially those that combine the apocalypse with unusual or uncommon themes. I would play post-apocalyptic fantasy, military science fiction, and especially pre-established worlds. I like the idea of a post-apocalyptic theme combined with something like Avatar, Pokémon, even something like Harry Potter. On the other hand, I’m also interested in playing science fiction. Mostly hard science fiction, but I’m willing to make an exception for Star Wars or other popular science fiction universes.

While I don’t usually roleplay slice of life, I’m open to roleplaying semi-realistic slice of life games, I’m open to any and all ideas within reason.

Specifically, I'd like to play a (good) superhero game, a (good) space nation game, and get involved in at least one 1x1 roleplay.

Active Roleplays:

Fullmetal Alchemist: Fate’s Gate as Ralph Cudworth (Shonen, Casual)
Hope’s Harbinger as Atalee Vayshalum (Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic, Advanced)
World in Revolution: 1900 as the Qing Empire (Alternate History, Nation)

Past Roleplays:

World in Revolution: 1861 as the Austrian Empire (Alternate History, Nation)

Most of my roleplays are on other forums or Oldguild, but you are more than welcome to ask about my non-RPGuild experience.

Other Information:

I’m in my last year of college at Rutgers University. By the end of this school year, I will have two bachelor’s degrees, one in psychology and another in sociology. I have plans to go onto graduate school and pursue at least a master’s degree, if not a doctorate. I sometimes get busy with real life, especially around the school year, so you’ll have to bear with me. I also do a couple roleplays on other forums, so those might distract me as well. If you’re interested in playing a game with me, shoot me a PM, as it’s the easiest way to contact me. I am willing to try almost any genre, and I will play most types of characters, including both males and females. I make an exception for romance. I typically don’t do romance, and out of personal preference, I don’t do romance with same-gendered individuals.

I sometimes GM as well.

I have been roleplaying since 2005, meaning that I have almost 10 years of roleplay experience under my belt.

Pretty much that. I like Ferdinand's ideas and would like to have him convince Franz to go in that direction.

I can see that going extremely well as a sort of proto-European Union in Eastern Europe, especially if you assert hegemony over the Balkans and defeat Russia in the First World War.

As for myself, I'm most likely going for Beiyang China or some other pseudo-fascist, pro-military state led by Yuan Shikai who (hopefully) doesn't declare himself Emperor and destroy the fledgling Republic. I think the collapse of the Qing Empire is inevitable, so it's mostly a matter of deciding who or what replaces it.

A United States of China would be cool, but I don't think something like that is realistic at this point.
