Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

What? The Lethal Weapon tv show isn't utter garbage at all, instead being an enjoyable watch. What the fuck is the world coming to?

Dude, that would be awesome. I hope they're companion choices in the next Mass Effect!
How about he started the war on his own, but Gabe asked him to return to the Pack so he did so reluctantly for his old bro, but on the condition that Hellfire then uses his batman training and powers to help him fight Granny
Volt nodded slowly at the two responses, finding Ryker's to be a tad optimistic for his usual taste, but it didn't mean he was wrong. Could just be further proof that Volt was one of the 'lone wolf types', at least in personality if not in practice. Clara had certainly thought so, citing Tommy's inability to connect fully with people as a reason in their break-up. Could the Lightning-Slinger put aside his own personal hang-ups to become a productive and helpful member of a team? Either which way, I reckon there's gonna be more than a few teething pains for this little League.

“I've worked with a partner a few times, Pariah and Zenith day tripping across the Atlantic and that sorta thing. Had a couple of episodes with Strix, that got a hella hairy. Had a partner at one point too, though truth be told that was one'a the biggest mistakes of a mistake ridden career." There was an awkward pause as his mind cast back to his experiences with Maggie, regret and anger building within him at the memories, at his failure to help her and her betrayal and attempted murder of Clara. He forged on quickly, as if he had never stopped speaking "Never with a team though, not that I ain't getting courted often. My point being that I might end up being one of those solo players you're worried about, and if that's the case then, well. . . sorry. . . in advance." he shrugged with a good natured grin. Always good to get your sorrys in quick he'd found.

"So on the other side of that coin, what are you both hoping to get from joining the league?"
"Probably just as well you don't know him. I can't imagine he and I are gonna be getting on good terms after tonight's stunt," replied Galahad, his voice full of grim portent. Not that he hadn't killed in the past himself, in fact there was one point that he'd made a career out of it, but that was a different life and he had to hold himself to a different standard now. Still, that was a problem for another day.

Aaron handed him his coffee and a sandwich, the beverage arriving in a batman mug. Sometimes the Doctors form of hero worship for the caped crusader went to far. Galahad was just about to tuck in when he heard an awful groaning coming from across the room. He looked up in mild alarm before realising it was the girls stomach making that ungodly noise. She didn't look like she'd eaten in a while. With a sigh he placed the plate on the floor and slid the food across to her, while giving her a look that said 'Don't be stubborn, eat the damn sandwich'.

Weariness gave way to anger at her demands of him. He sat more rigid in the chair, his eyes blazed with fury and his hand dropped to the belt that would have at one time held his sidearm. He had saved her, at risk to himself, and she was yet to thank him, instead demanding to know his reasons. His reasons were his own, and would remain as such until he deemed otherwise. He took a second to try and calm down, knowing that his anger was irrational and unhealthy, realising it was just a product of his weariness and the fact her appearance reminded him of painful memories he would rather keep buried. Luckily he had been taught to master his emotions, and it wasn't long until he was back in control.

"Maybe you coulda got away on your own, luckily I saved you the trouble. And isn't it what people like us do, huh? Save people? So don't ask me stupid questions kid, I especially ain't in the mood tonight after I had a building collapse on top of me." He took a sip of his coffee.

Say, Sam, what do you think of Gabe and Magnus having developed their friendship into a bromance? I can imagine so many bromantic scenes between them.

Well I was gonna have Fenrir give up on the pack after the disaster with the fish woman and Jin and Plas failing to show, reasoning that the pack has failed him. He goes feral, waging a war against the forces of Granny. Gabe could join him for that, helping him retain some shred of his humanity. Alternatively when he returns to the pack his new found 'Lone Wolf' mentality can play at odds with the picture Gabe has of him.

I think Jin might go to therapy in the interim. Considering in my head (in the post I never really wrote) that she slept through the trouble alarm, she'll finally convince herself that she does need some help. Also, what is 'bromance'? Does that mean just two dudes being friendly? Or more? Because I'm all for dude-cuddling. In my head, Magnus would be rather protective of the younger ones in his 'pack'.

Bromance is like a really tight male friendship, also know as Guy Love.

I think the year later would be an interesting idea. Flashbacks can really beef up a post and add to character development. Maybe the team can split up, and then they all get back together for a big Avengers moment (possibly that plot development we discussed KL)? That way everyone can do their own thing. I might continue with Phil, but I'd probably tweak his powers some. I just find it hard RPing a magic user.

I'd be interested to see Phil after the interim, see if he's dealt with Nabu yet.
“I'd trade stories with a Sadan if it meant free ale, and we all know how hard it is to get one'a those fella's to shut there mouths after they get started” quipped Corraich, receiving a good natured chuckle from Yohn and his crew.

Arthur seemed like an easy going chief based on first inspections, though Corraich had gotten enough of those wrong in his time he knew not to rely to heavily on them. Still, he had mentioned a training session, which was also good. A well drilled and well trained squad was the first step towards victory, and when the Northman had been a chief he had trained his men until fighting was second nature to them. All in all as good a start as could be hoped for.

He could see the younger man's face drop at his offer of giving his newest recruit a tour round the camp. Not everyone’s idea of a grand time, leading a rookie around the latrines. Besides, Corraich had been around enough war camps in his time for him to guess were most things would be found, and the Wolves base wasn't overly large.

“Maybe another time Chief, after all I still need to tell these boys the punchline,” he gestured to Yohns crew, who murmured their agreement.
I can't wait to start some Krogan related mass destruction!
