Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

What? The Lethal Weapon tv show isn't utter garbage at all, instead being an enjoyable watch. What the fuck is the world coming to?

That inkling at the back of his head that had been telling him this mission was gonna turn to shit? That had become a headache after the Salarian got his brains painted all over the deck, a migraine when the team all decided they didn't quite like being a team by doing whatever the hell they pleased, then a full blown, skull-splitting mind fuck when Michael handily ignored him. If there was one thing Raze couldn't abide it was being ignored. At this stage in his life he felt he'd done enough to at least earn a few seconds attention when he had something to say.

He took several deep breaths, having once heard a human saying it helped to control one's temper. Raze wasn't sure if it had any effect on a Krogan, but anything was worth trying at least once, especially if the alternative was to twist of your new comrades heads. By the time he'd done that, feeling no calmer for it, Michael had ambled over to the dead Salarian. Raze made his way over too, barely even batting an eyelid at the distant explosion. Probably Kali or Alexa tripping some trap the sniper had set, though he doubted it had taken either out. Kali was too good, and Alexa to stubborn.

The Krogan holstered his rifle as he approached the cooling Salarian, the usually satisfying click of a folding gun this time sounding like a cruel taunt, probably owing to the fact that he didn't even get to fire a single shot. Didn't look like he was going to get to now either, seemed the sniper had been working alone (And what an attractive prospect that seemed like now, faced with having to work with the pyjaks he was lumbered with now.)

Alexa staggered into the plaza soon after, looking like she was half way to the dirt. Raze had little sympathy for her, a true warrior must know their own limits, but he moved to her side nonetheless. The wound was beyond his ability to heal, but he slid her hands away from the wound, not un-gently, and applied pressure around the wound himself, his bulk and ham sized fists halting the flow of blood swiftly. Kali arrived shortly after that, and he spoke up before any of the others had a chance to begin bickering again.

“You idiot's done trying to get yerself's killed? Good, then listen up. I ain't in the habit of repeating myself, and twinkle-toes there has pissed me off already by not listening. You all need to decide, right bloody now, who's leading this merry band. Michael, you handed out orders, told Kali to pursue an unknown force without backup, and that's a rookie mistake. Then when Alexa broke ranks you couldn't get her to obey your orders”

“Kali, I've heard a lotta stories about you, but a predisposition for bad judgement ain't one of them. I don't know what’s wrong with you,” In fact he had a fairly good idea of what was wrong with the Huntress, his eyes flickering back to Alexa as he spoke, but that was a conversation he didn't ever want to have with her. His opinion on that was to live and let live. “But get it in order before it gets you killed.”

“And Alexa, you must really hate Aria to be trying so hard to hit the dirt for one last nap. . I've seen Vorcha with better sense than you. You pull a stunt like that again and it'll be my bullet that puts you down.”

“The three of you, and that fuck-head Quarian, is gonna get us all killed. The enemy is organised, and we can't afford having three people jockeying for the position of chief. Decide now who's in charge, or I'll decide for us, and believe me when I say that wont be a pleasant experience for anyone. . . Except maybe me.” Or maybe he'd just cut them out of the whole deal, split the take half way between him and Arlius. So far she was the only one not to piss him off, and that’s only cause she hadn't done anything.

The girl made a quick exit after that, casually fading outta existence, the same teleporting trick she had exhibited earlier. Aaron, who had skulked in moments before, whistled in appreciation.

"That's really something," he said in awe. "Wonder how she manages that. I imagine it must be some form of disassembly of her base molecules an. . . " Galahad shushed him quiet, knowing that if he let the doctor have his way then they'd both be sitting there all night listening to drivel.

"Not interested Aaron." he said, leveraging himself out of the chair.

"But. . . but, if I could just repli. . . "

"Nope, I like my molecules the way they are, good an assembled." He pulled the last of the armour off and made for the recently vacated cot. That's all he wanted in the world right now, just to catch some shut eye. Every thing looked better in the morning, even the fact that you'd let a dangerous assassin escape the night before, just to save a girl you'd just met.

"You're going to bed? Already? But we have so much to discuss, like Deadshot's escape, and this new 'Blink' girl, the one that knows our location now, thanks to you!" moaned Aaron. He could teach a toddler a thing or two about grumping. Galahad vented a satisfied sigh as he dumped himself upon the cot.

"Tell you what Aaron. Next time you go out on the mission and I'll sit here and bitch down the phone the whole time. You can be the one that fights the dangerous sociopath, you can be the one to have a building collapse on you and you can be the one to decide whether it's better to leave a girl to a sordid fate or to compromise your own safety. Then I can wait until you get back, and demand you stay up to 'talk', like a woman." With that outta the way he turned over, and closed his eyes. Aaron didn't say much after that.

Alright, honest question- is the Spirit of Saint Louis overpowered? I've been worried about this, because I feel "magic" is maybe a little too nebulous, not to mention drawing her power from her city. I've tried to limit her to doing just stage magic stuff, but even that feels like a bit much?I'd be more than happy to rework the character if people have issues.

Nah, the Spirit was incredibly grounded when written. If you had to rework her then I'd almost definitely have to rework Volt as well.
He smelt him before he seen him, heard him too. He'd always thought that for someone trained by the near-mythic Batman that Hellfire made far too much noise. So flat-footed, so heavy in his movements. Always seemed that no matter how Magnus told him off for it Gabe was just determined to make as much noise as an old moose. Always making a scene, with this time being no different.

The younger teen barrelled into Magnus, his arms wrapping around the Wolfman in something the Gothamnite called a bear-hug. His impetuousness nearly knocked them both from their feet. Despite himself a small smile cracked across Magnus' face, happy as Gabe was at their reunion. This man was his closest companion and comrade, the one 'Pack-mate' he felt he could turn to when his war against Granny was at its roughest. But it was more than that, more than mere affection. Gabe had saved his life when things were at their darkest, and for that he owed the man a hug, at the very least. He patted Hellfire's back lightly but affectionately.

"Enough brother, it hasn't been so long." He eased himself from Gabe's grasp. "I've been hunting." Cryptic for the others perhaps, but Hellfire would know the meaning, know just what he had been hunting. Unfortunately his efforts had been mostly fruitless of late, Granny and her organisation having gone to ground. He had one last lead to chase down, a census station in Star City that was being used to gather information on new young meta-humans. Although not much to go on it was still a something, and at this stage he would take anything he could get. He would go and investigate the building later.

BlackSam, That was a good read. I could have it that the Magus and the Fellowship have been trying to pin him down for over a century with no success.

Sure thing.
Right then, that's the Rogues Bio for Dr Whitechapel fleshed out. Saint George is next I think.
