Hmm, I wonder if we got enough signatures globally could we just fire Justin Bieber into space, and use his corpse as a deterrent against other species attacking earth, kinda like a sign saying 'Don't come here, look what you'd have to deal with. We still have Miley Cyrus AND Lady Gaga!" Surely that solves both problems.
