Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

Whelp, that's my first Question post done. Man, RPing a genius is hard. Far easier getting into the shoes of a savage part-man, part-wolf headcase who has a habit of hurting those closest to him and maintains a murderous vendetta against his granny. What the hell does that say about me!?!
Bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored. . . BORED! I really haven't the faintest clue as to how _ordinary _people do it. How do they manage to live their dull little lives, without even a sliver of excitement or mental stimulation, and manage to keep themselves from blowing their feeble brains out. That's the real Question, now that I come to think of it. Maybe that's the real difference between myself and the rest of the world. Maybe it's just that they're better equipped to deal with boredom, to sit and mull their dreary lot in life while a slow yet incessant rot begins to waste away their drive and interest, a self perpetuating cycle of non-explosive self destruction. The merest inkling that I may be surrendering myself to the fate that befalls _normal _people is enough to supply me with the drive to banish my crippling ennui. If excitement will not come to me then I shall have to supply my own. Necessity compels when the devil drives, and all that. Or perhaps its a case of the devil making work for idle hands? Either way I must act, and the devil probably has a hand in it. I practically leap from the comfort chair that had supported me during my latest bout with monotony. Though spartan in the accoutrements, the items that do fill these quarters are all well made and comfortable. Not that such things concern me unduly, I could live on the streets if an investigation required it, but I will not refuse myself luxury when it presents itself so readily. I pass the mirror on my way out, stopping to inspect my reflection. Some call me conceited, but I am merely a man who takes pride in his appearance. Mind, body and spirit. Keep these things in order and the rest will fall into place. A moment spent straightening my tie and and I am ready, grabbing my overcoat on the way out. I set a steady pace through empty halls, heels from leather shoes clicking away upon the polished floors. Who does clean this place? I've never once seen any of my teammates pick up a broom nor mop, and there has never been a _custodian_, that I am sure of. I log the query for further investigation at a later date. I may be going half mad in need of a Question to answer, but I am not yet at the stage were _'the case of the invisible janitors'_ is enough to pique my entire interest. Instead I make for the exit, sure that in a city like Star there will be mysterys a plenty for a man willing to put in the leg work to find them. My thoughts are disturbed as an ear splitting shriek shatters the relative silence, echoes tearing through the corridors. My body bursts into action, propelling me towards the source even while my mind begins going into over drive, forming split second connections and deductions. _Deduction_; Based on my location in the base and from the direction of the scream then the screamer must be in the relaxations area. _Deduction_; Tone indicates the individual to be female, age between sixteen and twenty four. _Fact_; Team roster indicates we have six female members, no information at the moment to indicate which are on sight, though could be a visting member of the League. Outside party unlikely though, based on deduction that indivdual is a young female, no outsider meets profile. _Deduction_; Scream lacks the urgency of physical stress, perhaps emotional pain, or a shriek of fear. _Fact_; I begin to feel alive. My breakneck pace would impress even an Olympic sprinter as I near fly through the doorway to the relaxation room, my quick eyes taking in the surroundings before I've even skidded to a stop. No attackers. No enemies. In fact there is only one other person in attendance, the woman known as Cassandra, formerly Foresight, given name Kendra Martin. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that she was the source of the scream. Even now she shudders uncontrollably, a sure sign of heightened anxiety and uncontrollable stress. It goes hand in hand with the sweat droplets beading her forehead. She's making noises, such unseemly grunting, which indicates she may be trying to stifle a sob. Her cheeks are a deep red. Could that be embarrassment? Interesting. I study her intently, reading the small details that form like words on a page to tell me a story of her and her situation. I'm told I study people more often and more closely than is comfortable for others. Apparently I make them feel like they are animals in a zoo. That is a most unfair comparison in my opinion. Animals are placed in a zoo for the amusement of the masses, despite the inherent barbarism of such an outdated practice. Though it is not the association with such a disgusting procedure that bothers me. It is more the fact that unlike animals, people rarely amuse me. They are merely a means to an end. I come to my conclusions as to what caused her screams quickly. Childrens play really, from what I know of her personality and powers, the fact she is in a mostly empty room with very few emotional stimulants, and her current mood and demeanor.. "What was the vision of, Miss Martin?" She has earned my attention. Lets see if she can keep it.
> Sam - Was just a first draft micro, I made his shirt green to give the team shot more color. I'm still working on a few micros touching them up and stuff, Question will be up to par soon enough LOL > > Diz - I wouldn't say Orbit isn't pulling her weight but we can play it off like she thinks that. No need for additional powers like gravity control, that already goes with telekinesis and moving stuff with your mind. I'd just write it off that your TK fields got weaker for a few days [really making Orbit feel like she's more powerless] before your powers grow and she can effectively lift more weight with her power. If her max weight was a small car, now she can lift a large truck. Anywhere from 2-5 times the weight. There's also the whole using TK powers to fly if you don't already [think you had a cycle before]. After seeing our new Supergirl use TK to boost her strength, speed, and flight, Orbit could try to sharpen her skills and try to take on a TK ability like flight or like above just enhanced strength TK fields for lifting heavier stuff. > > I have to actually close tonight and get a full shift in so after I go in at 12 I won't be back online till 7 EST. > > ~KL~ Gravity control isn't really an additional power though. My impression is that Orbit's telekinesis is something based in the world of 'physics' rather than magic or sorcery. One possible theory for the existence of telekinesis would require a fine control over gravitational fields, affecting the individual molecules of the object itself. I think "stronger fields" is to blunt an application for Orbit. Her powers should be more thought provoking, more grounded in science, mathematics and physics. Regardless, its Dizzy's choice.
> I'm slow, lemme alone. *hugs Sam* How you been? > > Also, I really have no idea how to bring Jin's powers forward. I could easily make her telekinesis stronger, but that seems so piddling compared to everyone else. I mean, I have some ideas but no idea how to really describe them. Anyone who wants to help, please let me know. > > I could use that as a plot point, though. Jin feeling like she's not pulling her weight anymore. > > Sleep is needed, see you folks on the other side of the sunrise. *Returns hug, while slyly groping Dizzy's rear. What can I say, I'm a bad person.* I'm good Duzz, how're you? What about giving her some power over gravitational fields? Its one of the theorised explanations for psychokinesis by a physicist (can't remember who) Could increase or decrease the gravity of specific items and people, or in a localised field?
> My bad, guys. my dumb self was watching the old thread and I JUST realized I never put this one on my watch list. I'll catch up as soon as I can... > > Silly beggar.
> Sweetness ^^^^ > > What did you think of the micro I made him the other night? > > ~KL~ Its a good micro, but its not really how I picture my Question I'm afraid.
Settled on my character. Gonna go with The Question, misanthropic genius determined to usurp Batman's role as the worlds greatest detective!
**Name** - Charles Ditko **Alias** - The Question **Age** - 17 **Sponsor** - Fenrir **Personality** - Bohemian, eccentric, cold ** Powers** - Genius intellect. Eidetic memory. Nigh unparalleled skills in deductive reasoning. Knowledgeable in psychology, geology, law, anatomy, botany, chemistry and forensics. Some knowledge in martial arts, though this is mostly restricted to self defense rather than offensive techniques. Could be described as an omniglot as he speaks over seven languages fluently. Some skill with sleight of hand and other 'stage magic'. **Weaknesses** - Prefers not to be involved in direct conflict, instead leaving front line work to others more suited to it. Very poor people skills. Shows some signs of suffering from asperger syndrome and antisocial personality disorder. Easily agitated. **Appearance** - Tall and slender, long limbed but assured and balanced in his movements. Messy auburn hair. Angular face with sharp cheek bones and an aquiline nose. Left eye is a leaf green, right is autumn brown flecked with gold. He is to striking in his features and to intense in his actions to ever be considered attractive. Is a fastidious and fashionable dresser, always wearing the sharpest of suits. Wears a dress waistcoat under his suit jacket when on a mission as it gives him more pockets to hide small pieces of gear in. Over this he dons a midnight blue greatcoat. Instead of the Pseudoderm mask and binary gas utilized by the previous Question he wears a blank full face mask. Absolutely refuses to wear a fedora, instead opting for grey tweed bunnet. **BRIEF Bio** - Born to an award winning psychologist mother and an ex-military come sensationalist novelist father. His parents home-schooled him, his mother taking more to do with his education when he began to show signs of advanced intellect at an early age. Despite his parents best efforts Charles craved mental stimulation that they simply could not supply him. It soon became apparent that although he was tremendously gifted he also had his flaws, a complete disregard for social norms and a compulsive drive to prove his superiority above others chief amongst them. Admittance into a prestigious university at an uncommonly young age seemed to curb Charles' desire to show up his peers for a while, but he quickly returned to form when he realized that even this new erudite lifestyle wasn't enough to challenge him. It wasn't until he was fifteen that he found a suitable activity to occupy his time. A classmates dog was butchered on campus, but the school board and authorities were stumped when it came to finding the culprit. Charles leveraged his genius at the problem and quickly deduced that the guilty party was a local teenager. The teenager was reprimanded, a developing psychopath was nipped in the bud and Charles had caught the vigilante bug. Charles wasn't concerned with building himself a reputation or becoming famous, or even stopping the wicked or helping the helpless. He merely revels in the joy of the hunt and proving that he can crack those cases others consider unsolvable. Because of the less than legal nature of his hobby he employs a disguise, a simple face mask, social media dubbing him the Question due to his resemblance to the hero of yesteryear. Despite his efforts he became something of a celebrity in his home country of England, so much so that when Fenrir heard of the hero and his detective prowess he recruited Charles in his shadow war against Granny, hoping the young man could piece together Granny's location. The wolfman also offered his sponsorship for the Question to join the Young Justice team. Charles has tentatively accepted, not sure if a "hero" team is for him, but curious as to the challenges that such an endeavor may provide him.
> Oh, no. I REALLY like Shade. She's a badass. I'd say stick with Shade, we never got to see much development from her before the break.
> Mostly everyone I sent them to I had already started a convo with. I'll send it over tonight unless somebody else online wants to before I get back to my laptop... > > ~KL~ I sent it to them.
