Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

What? The Lethal Weapon tv show isn't utter garbage at all, instead being an enjoyable watch. What the fuck is the world coming to?

@The Patriarch- Well I'm looking for a more serious tone of RP, but I wouldn't dismiss a funny character out of hand. If will written and not too far fetched then I would be more than willing to accept one. What do you have in mind? @22xander - Just looking up those characters! I take it Red is the one outta pokemon?
Name Magnus Boyle Alias Fenrir Age 20 Personality Aggressive, confrontational, and suspicious, though loyal to his old friends. Powers Super Strength; Super speed;Enhanced durability and cellular regeneration;Super senses; Weaknesses Alpha Male Mentality, Arrogant. Lack of fine digit control and inability to process complex tasks, such as driving a car or typing at a keyboard while in wolf form. Loss of control while in 'wolf mode', making him a danger to both friend and foe. Problems with anger management. Appearance Magnus is just under 6' tall, with broad shoulders that taper too slim hips, a wolf-lean physique that grants him great speed and strength. His hair grows wild and course, with a beard that most would call untamable. His eyes are a piercing blue that seem almost canine. His teeth look a touch to long and sharp, and there is something just a touch too savage about him to be considered normal. When he transforms he becomes a 6'7" tall bipedal wolf-man. His head is large and lupine with bright, blue eyes and massive canine jaws ending in rows of sharp teeth. His shoulders are muscular but not too heavy for his frame, arms long and powerful. His legs are digitigrade and both fingers and toes have long, tough talons capable of shredding through armour plating. He also has a tufty tail, one that is constantly getting in his way, however it also helps him keep his balance. Pardoning the pun he is wolf lean without a shred of fat on his body. His entire form is covered in thick, coarse black hair. His Nth metal armour has been cunningly crafted with a series of hinges and clasps that open up to allow him to transform while wearing it and still provide enhancement and protection to both his human and 'Wolf' forms. Brief Bio Fittingly enough Magnus Boyle was born in Alaska, on a balmy midsummer night during a full moon in 2002. His parents were overjoyed with their lusty, new-born baby boy, However when he grew his baby inch long canines and chewed through the furniture things weren't quite as jovial. From then on it was obvious Magnus wasn't a normal boy. He never got sick,he would howl at the moon, tore his fluffy stuffed bunny into shreds with his teeth, all sorts of stuff that would be hard to justify as 'normal'. He was never violent to his family or friends but it was off-putting enough to warrant a visit to the family doctor. They tried to keep Magnus's peculiarities a secret from the world at large, but secrets have a habit of getting found out. No one is sure were they came from but in the year 2012 several black vans were seen around the Boyles' home town. Shortly after that Magnus went missing. His parents still search to this day, but they have never found so much as a whisker of their son. Secretly he was captured by a highly classified agency with the goal of creating their own meta-powered army, led by the sinister Dr Gretta Tante. Eventually Magnus escaped, but not before they had turned him into an unrecognizable Wolfman. Magnus 'assisted' Hawkman in taking down a League of Shadows assassin cell that was set to remove a politician from office. I say assist, but it would be more accurate to say that the Wolf brutalized the ninja's before Hawkman stepped in, stopping Magnus from tearing the assassins limb from limb. The two fought, as heroes usually do upon first meeting, with Hawkman gaining the upper hand after a lengthy fight. The Feathered Avenger was impressed with Magnus's sheer power, but realized his savagery could become extremely destructive if left unchecked, and decided to take the pup under his wing, so to speak. Eventually Fenrir joined the original Young Justice team, taking part in the efforts against Shrapnel and Deathstroke, but left after a feeling abandoned by his team mates and a disastrous battle with an Atlantean mutant. He eventually rejoined just in time to help the Team take down the villain Cinderblock, and played a key role in stopping Clara Kendall and her cyborg army from dominating Northern America. Superman and Hawkman, deciding that Fenrir's training is complete, have publicly given the Wolfman reserve League status. In secret however they have tasked him with forming a new team, one that can handle threats that the League cannot. What they bring to the team Fenrir brings a wealth of experience to the Team. Though young he has been involved with Young Justice and the Justice League in some form or another for almost two years, and before that he was trained by the villainous Granny to be a living weapon. He's one of the best hand to hand fighters in the world, and already knows that sometimes doing the right thing isn't easy. However he also brings his faults. His vendetta against Granny can sometimes blind him to the bigger picture, hampering him in ways that can affect the mission. His Wolf form is savagery unbound, and almost completely out of his control. In it he is just as likely to hurt friend as he is foe.

You have heard of the Justice League? Yes, of course you have, who on this planet hasn't. What of Young Justice, the team of sidekicks and apprentices, who just last year stopped the Tomorrow Woman and her insane plans? I was one of them for a while, that is correct, but not any more. I no longer think their methods are enough to protect this world. Just as prevention is better than cure, we must seek out the root of evil before it flowers into something far more sinister.

For this reason I have been tasked with forming a team, one unlike any other. We will work in the shadows. We will take on the missions the League dares not. We will cross the lines that 'good' men cannot, all in the name of protecting the innocent. We will do what must be done, even if it blurs the line between right and wrong.

If we do our jobs right no one will even know we have done a job at all. We will not be celebrated as heroes. We will be the monsters on the side of angels.

We will be Outsiders.

Fenrir

The year is 2022. The Justice League is getting older, but with the aid of Young Justice they are just managing to keep criminals and evildoers in check. However even these mighty champions cannot solve every problem. There are some problems that they simply cannot be seen dealing with. The issues presented by Clara Kendall prove that. Its time for a new team.

This game, set in an alternate future DC comics universe, will explore what it means to really be a hero. The sacrifices that must be made, the costs that demand payment, the lines that have to be crossed. Just like in the real world things aren't going to be black and white. Every action and choice will have a consequence, some good and some bad.

The Outsiders is actually a spin-off from Kid Lanterns long running Young Justice RP, a concept I've never seen before on this site. In essence this will allow us to share a continuity, opens up story telling potential, helps with universe building and gives us the option of crisis crossovers further down the road.

I'm looking for a small (About four or five), dedicated group of players to take on the roles of a group of misfits and outcasts, anti-heroes and reformed villains. The type of guys that would never make it on the Justice League or Avengers, but might just have what it takes for the Outsiders. Characters should preferably be OC's, but you can put new spins on preexisting DC characters. Ideally I'm after a real mix of powers and personalities. Diversity is the key to a good superhero team in my opinion. Check characters tab for CS Skeleton.

Pretty much wanted to keep the options open and give him side plots able to explore during the RP.
Lord Wraith
Thats wholly encouraged. The more involved players get in the story the better in my opinion.
@Lord Wraith - Great stuff pal. Seems well balanced, and his skill sets diversity allows the team alot of options. I am curious as to the symbiote, and the shadowy figure who tried to merge said symbiote with Val, but I'm guessing you'll elaborate more on that during the rp? I'll try and get a OOC up tonight, if not tomorrow.
@Divine Darkness – Like the sheet (I joined YJ after you left, but I remember liking Madcap the first time round as well). Only one small question. What has Rikki been up to since leaving YJ? @Dragonbud – Admittedly Belle is very like Fenrir in powers, but their personality's and motivation’s are worlds apart. My only problem is that Belle is so young, which would make taking her on the calibre of missions undertaken by the Outsiders quite irresponsible. However, we could make that a plot point, another grey area that the Outsiders straddle. @22xander – Haha, I'm feeling old because I don't get either of those references. Regardless, I think I follow now, do you mean he can materialise the likes of Mario or Master Chief into the real world, and these would be his digital spirits? I think making video game objects and characters physical is quite cool, but not sure how I feel about him converting physical matter into video games, at least at the start of the rp. Seems like a game breaking power. Would he not just solve every problem by turning it digital then forgetting about it? Ok, what happened to his mother after the murder investigation. Did he ever deal with her, or is she still out there somewhere. By the town disappearing you said “It's uncertain what the state of the town above him was because it changed its name and he couldn't find it”. Why is he unable to find it? Surely with his abilities finding a town in this digital age should be child’s play to him. The last thing is that allowing him abilities from any game may make him to powerful and versatile, until he reaches a point that would make you wonder why he even needs a team. Perhaps we could limit the amount of games he has access to initially, say three. As the Rp progresses he could gain access to more and more. @Cantide – The fact that he's hesitant to take the 'final solution' is interesting, as well as offering some interesting moral conflict but there's a few other pieces I'd like filled in. Firstly where, or from whom, did Litheal get his sword? And how did taking on challenges allow him to lift it? Is it similar to Thor's Mjölnir in that only the worthy may wield it? And who trained him in swordsmanship, or is the skill an extension of the swords power? If his skill is not an aspect of his sword then sixteen might be a touch young for him.
Keep the interest coming guys! Like I said, I'm looking for five or six players, ideal for small team dynamics. @22xander - I like the concept of a digital/gaming ghost but I'm unsure as to the execution. I'd like some more definition on the powers. Like what are 'digital spirits' and how does he digitize objects? And I feel there a gaps in his bio, such as what aspect of gaming was it that his mother took such umbridge with, and how did she get away with the murder of her son? Surely someone would have noticed her son disappeared. And how has a town dissapeared, especially from someone with the kind of access Vincent would have to information via the internet. Finally, what was it that made him 'wake up' from death?
I have an oc that might work for this rp. I'll fill out a sheet :D
Dragonbud
Looking forward to seeing it.
Oh, okay. Because I was getting a little worried, since I was seeing long ass fucking posts I couldn't possibly live up to. Except, again that One Piece post. You, know. I'm gonna stop referencing that. And yes, I know that was a reference.
CrimsonWarrior55
I would just post what you can Crimmy. I know I get carried away (Like a lot) so don't worry what other people are posting and just do whatever you're comfortable with! @GG and Fellsing - At the moment I'm looking for an entirely new crew, hopefully so the rp runs on its own steam rather than exhausting all your energies playing two games in the same universe. Although hopefully once Outsiders hits its stride there will be opportunity's for crossovers and the like.
