Daniel rolled his eyes. "I know he's into guys.... Trust me.... I know.." he laughed. "We had a very short lived relationship like that..." He answere the phone, putting it on speaker, and put a finger to his lips, telling him to hush. "Hello?"

Kyle smirked. "It's about time you decide to answer your phone..." he laughed.

Daniel smiled. "Yeah, I guess..."

Kyle chuckled. "So how's Konsa doing? I hope you haven't given him the lecture yet, have you?"

Daniel laughed. "No, I haven't..." he said, looking over at Konsa.

Daniel's face turned red. "W...what?!" he stuttered. "N..No! Kyle's one of my best friends!" He looked at the floor. "Why would I do that?" he murmured. "I don't think Kyle would be interested anyways.." he chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.

All of a sudden, Daniel's phone started ringing. He winced as he saw it was Kyle. "He has the worst timing ever...." he said, looking up at Konsa, then back at his phone.

Kyle was on his bed, his head hanging off of the end. "C'mon bud, pick up..." he groaned, sitting up.

Daniel sat down in a chair. "It's a long story..." he said, taking the book back. He opened it to a picture of Kyle's face pressed up against the window, smiling out at Daniel. If you looked close enough, you could see a small lizard on Kyle's shoulder. It was glowing and it had a long tail. "I remember this... I got him a flame-lizard for his 13th birthday...." He chuckled, flipping the page.

Daniel chuckled a bit. "This was back in Japan..." He picked up the picture. ".....We met there, learned there...." He smiled. "He was a nut...." He set it down and picked a small book up from the desk. He tossed it to Konsa. It was filled with pictures of Kyle and him in Japan. "We both have one of these.... To remember our life from back then..." he said. "...Before everything changed..." he murmured, turning to look out the window.

Daniel smiled slightly. "We were very close..... He was my best and closest friend....." he said, a sad smile forming on his lips. "We were students together.... We had alot of good times...."

Kyle sat on his bed, looking at the picture of him and Daniel. "Stupid.." he chuckled, setting it down.

Daniel smiled at him and walked over to his side of the room. "I'll show you around tomorrow I guess.." he said. He took his shoes off, tied the laces together, and hung them on a hook on the side of his deak. His desk was cluttered except in the small proximity of a small picture frame. The picture was of two kids, both with black hair, but the other had green streaks in his hair. The two boys were about 12 years old, and they were locking arms, sitting in the grass. Books were scattered everywhere in the picture, and you could barely make out the woman in the background. David stopped and looked at the picture, laughing a bit. "He was always getting me in trouble..." he murmured, chuckling.

Daniel led him down the hall and stopped at a door, opening it, reavealing a large bedroom with two beds in it. "Maridella said that if we got anyone new, I would have to share a room with them... So I guess we're room mates..."

Daniel walked over to Konsa. "Yeah... Follow me..." he said, walking towards the door.

Maridella nodded approval to Daniel and flew up to the balcony above them.
