Current So I'm not cool enough to do it, but I think a Pokemon based Nation RP would be cool. Jussayin.

Today is a day of sadness. It is the day I quit partaking of the drink of my lord and savior, Lord Coffee Bean. I shall be very grumpy for the next three weeks.

I'm all about that fantasy. I can mix it with other genres, such as sci-fi, slice of life, etc. but I generally stick to fantasy settings. As long as something supernatural or mystical is afoot, I'm interested. I generally like adventure, exploration, and conversation more than action and fighting in my roleplays as long as everyone is having a good time. I enjoy tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons, Scion, Dungeon World, and Ryuutama.

That would be a terrifying fight. I feel if Akali wasn't fast enough on her feet, she would be completely wrecked by Alicia haha. XD Thank you for accepting her. She was going to be my original character, but I didn't see much love for dwarves in the roleplay so I created Dys instead. :]
> @Aphelion: Read your IC. If I didn't know any better, I would think you knew what's going to happen next. Creepy Hahaha <3 I can't wait to see what happens next though. also, if it's alright with you, would you take a look at my second character and see if it's okay? ![Akali](http://i.imgur.com/VEN2cqP.jpg "Credit to Nawol on Deviantart") **Name:** Akali dai Remethiel **Race:** Elf **Age:** 127 **Alignment:** Mage **Personality:** Akali is a perpetually cheerful, somewhat naive and lighthearted elf at first glance, but one delves deeper they find that she is.... different. Her eyes are just a little too wide, her smile shows slightly too much teeth, her laugh is a touch maniacal . In her underlying fervor, she wants to _paint_ the world with her magic, to make the normal abnormal, to make the abnormal wondrous, to beautify the ugliness, to erase war, to cease conflict. She has odd ways of being touchy with others, and even more peculiar ways of speaking. She will refer to herself as "We", and never "I" - and most people are _sure_ that it isn't the royal we, but as if she truly believes herself to be more than _just herself._ On top of the rest of her oddities, she is sure she can taste the emotions of others, and describes them as colors. All in all, when most people speak to Akali for an extended period of time, they're either left perplexed or irritated. Or both. It is insanely difficult to offend this elf, and she infact loves when people describe her in different ways, no matter how bad or good. She loves it all! During battle, she is unpredictable and tricky, as if she is "playing" with her opponents. She leaves nearly every opponent alive, but she believes that in fighting for your life, there is beauty - and yet she wishes for all conflict to stop. A contradicting mixture to be sure, and it somehow adds weight to the way she describes herself as _"We"_... **Bio:** Akali was born long ago to Vivace dai Remethiel, an elf who had been cast out from the Elven Forest not long after Akali was born. They had found the Arcane Magic within Akali, and instead of letting the Keepers of the Grove dispose of her precious daughter, Vivace chose exile. Vivace had known that it was impossibly stupid to give up her life for a mageling child, but once she had decided, there was no way to go back. She kept her eyes ever forward with her daughter, Akali, by her side and tried to eek out an existence in the wilds, so that her child wouldn't need to live a life restricted by the Luminous Knights. In retrospect, Akali had loved living off of the land with her mother, but over time Akali had grown too curious about the world of magic. She delved into dangerous territories once or twice, with Vivace reeling her back in each time. Vivace knew that her daughter wasn't normal, even for a mage, but it was when Akali took it too far and had tried to _paint her magic_ onto a child that she lured from a nearby village that Vivace realized that Akali had no concept of _right_ and _wrong_. Vivace tried to instill these lessons into her gently at first, but when Akali wouldn't understand, her mother had to resort to violence. Reprimands were in no short order as Akali aged further, but she did learn the basics of what she **should** and _shouldn't_ do, and to please her mother she tried to make her magic useful for peaceful ends. Illusions and beauty, these were things Akali knew that her mother would surely like! Akali practiced the art of such things, and cultivated it, all in order to show her beloved mother how wonderful magic could be. When Akali used her _Illusionaire_ on Vivace, her mother experienced intense agony and fear, and collapsed from the shock. When she awoke three days later with Akali fretting over her, Vivace had, had enough. She took her innoncent and naive daughter to the wilderness with one thought in mind: Vivace had to kill her own daughter, before Akali could wreak havoc upon innocent people with her idea to "beautify the world". Their fight was one-sided, with Akali so confused that she couldn't even muster a spell, though she had no desire to hurt her beloved mother. Vivace had her staff to Akali's throat, ready to crush it and end Akali's life, but she couldn't bring herself to the awful deed of erasing Akali dai Remethiel's existence. Her mother threw the staff to the ground and left, never looking back. Since then, Akali has tried to find her mother, but to no avail. She wants to paint the entire world so that no matter where Vivace may be, her mother will see how beautiful Akali has made it and delight in her daughter's efforts. **_"All we want is for mother to be happy with us!"_** **Initial spells/techniques:** - _Illusionaire:_ Akali twirls her staff around and as she does, an illusion weaves before her target's eyes of whatever they fear most. Other mages could see through it easily in it's early stages, while regular folk would be duped for it's duration, though as she gets more powerful, these illusions become more and more wondrous. And terrifying. (duration of 3 seconds at lowest level, then increase of 3 seconds per level as she gets more powerful) - _Beautify:_ Akali's magic seems to imbue itself in the world around her, giving the world a magical and mystical look. This effects her opponent's auditory and sensory capabilities, as they seem to feel and hear phantom fairies and butterflies crawling all over their bodies. When the spell ends, each of the butterflies that landed on them explodes in pure arcane power, causing minor damage, while the fairies minorly heal whoever they land on. (5 butterflies and fairies at lowest level, increasing in increments of 2 for butterflies and 1 for fairies each level) - _Starlight, Starbright:_ Akali raises her staff to the sky, and a shower of magical stars rain down on her target location. These stars will explode as they touch the ground or opponents into visions of furry and cute critters, typically rabbits and ferrets that run amok inside the area of effect, exploding on contact with anyone in the circle, healing or damaging them depending on the critter. Rabbits heal, ferrets damage. (duration of 5 seconds and 3 critters at lowest level, increasing in increments of 5 seconds and 3 critters) **Skills:** - _Rei'shi:_ Akali was taught the style of Rei'shi by her mother, and she is particularly adept at it. This style is primarily defensive in nature, and when used it appears as though the user is fluid in motion, blocking attacks with open-palms and shifts of their body. It focuses on the use of the arms and upper body, while the lower body is kept light and free to move. Rei'shi is a practice of unwavering patience, as it offers no offensive attacks. - _Acrobatics:_ Akali is unnervingly light on her feet, able to climb just about anything that could be climbed, and flip over and around all sorts of obstacles. She has adopted this light-footedness from her time spent in the wilds, climbing trees and rocks. - _Staff Mastery:_ Her mother taught her the use of the staff growing up, and Akali has learned to be adept at using it to keep enemies at bay while she beautifies them with her magic. She can use this to vault away, or as a way to focus her magic, though the staff she uses isn't a Focus quite yet. - _Vegetarianism:_ She refuses to consume meat and lives off of the plants of the land. She is adept at finding edible plants in the most unlikely places, as well as practiced in their correct preparation. To that end, animals seem to be attracted to her and she finds it unnaturally easy to befriend them. **Combat strategy:** In combat, her true desire is for it to end. To that effect, she uses her abilities to slow and confuse the onslaught of her enemies, all the while she is keeping far back and away with her staff and acrobatics should any opponents try to attack her directly. If she were to face a Luminous Knight, she would try to run from them as fast as possible. **Unique equipment:** - _Memoria:_ The staff Vivace left when she abandoned Akali, and the one Akali uses to this day. It was made from Elven magic, twisted and formed into an extremely durable and flexible weapon that Akali takes every advantage of. On one end, it has a loop for a lantern, and on the other it has been attached with the head of a paintbrush. The latter was Akali's doing. - _Friendship:_ Akali has a unique bond with a flying squirrel she found in the wilds. She has named it Viva, in memory of her mother, and the creature is usually crawling somewhere on her person, munching on nuts and acorns. **Other:** - _Themesong:_ [Dance of the Fairies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzXPxJ1BSlI)
It's okay Rune :] Life is important too.
Alright, Liriia :D Good luck at your rehearsal, I wish the best for you. ^__^ @Raijin I love the way Shade talks about Neva. hahaha it's so true.
Dys's post is out, I hope it's okay that I did that with the bandit... I figured that's what she would have done.
### Dysmoira Bazgard **« _On the road to Meridian_ »** Tryndamere's hooves were the most prominent sound as they clipped and clopped over the ground dirt and cobblestone underfoot. Dys had decided to take a small detour from the more direct path in favor for the scenery of windswept trees and small creeks trailing inbetween the trees and rocks. A squirrel darted off of the road every so often, or a flock of birds were startled out from a low lying crop of brush as she and Tryndamere cantered past. It was a peaceful moment, seemingly right out of a fairy tale. When they crested a hill, Dys spotted a carriage heading in the same direction as her. _'More recruits?'_ She mused but put it out of her mind, enjoying the rest of the ride. ------ **« _During the Briefing_ »** She stood in line with the rest of the recruits as they were briefed on their mission. She had no fear of being in dark and cramped places, but she noticed some of the others looking uncomfortable over the idea. Claustrophobia was serious among the surface dwellers, something Dys had no idea how to comprehend. It was a _very_ rare dwarf indeed that would be afflicted with that fear, and she had never met one living in the Undermountain. _'Bandits... fools or tools?'_ She wondered, thinking about why they would hold up expansion. They were prominent in this day and age, and would pick off the weaker villages - but she had wondered if some of them weren't hired by mages to simply get in the way of the Luminous Knight's progress. It was just a theory, but it made her want to split their skulls open more. _Nobody_ would impede their progress. She shared smiles with her fellow Knights, including those she had been rough with in the past. They had shaped up considerably, but she was glad to see they had, had the fear driven from them. Or maybe _beaten_ from them would be a better way to put it? Varkasan was her favorite of the other recruits with his cheerful personality, but he was a tad bland in some aspects. He wouldn't break the rules, or take chances, but that was also the good part of his personality. He was reliable, dependable, and a solid teammate. Somebody Dys would like to have at her side in any battle. However, Freiya seemed to be adept at taking chances. The human woman was more fiery than Dys had been as a teenager, jumping headlong into battle and attacking with a fury. Dys didn't enjoy Freiya outside of combat as much... she could be melancholy and irritable, and sometimes the dwarf would have liked nothing better than to give Freiya the good old _"dwarven flagpole"_ as punishment for her attitude. The only good thing about her, in Dys's opinion, was her love of alcohol, judging by the wineskin Freiya took swigs from frequently. Then there was the envied recruit, Alicia. Even now other Knights, men and women alike, stole glances at her while the briefing continued. Dys didn't understand it. Alicia was quiet, proficient, focused - but honestly, she was a weapon instead of a human. Dys couldn't enjoy the company of somebody so very... Mechanical. Dys didn't envy her at all. She was amazing in combat, but hardly equaled Varkasan as a **team mate**. She focused back on her duties as she got prepared to go out on her first mission. Her first _real_ battle, filled with people wanting to split _her_ skull open. The idea was exhilarating. -------- **« _Battle against the Bandits_ »** The ride was comfortable for her, unlike her fellow Knights. They grumbled but barely spoke during the cold journey stuffed in the crates, while she was reading her book from a stream of light coming through a crack in the wood. It was just coming upon an interesting theory involving Luminosity and Elf magic when it was _go time_. Dys shut her book with a fierce smile, and tucked it away in her pouch and sprang out with her fellow Knights. Alicia was ahead of her to getting to the battle, something that fueled Dys's competitive nature. Varkasan wasn't far behind to lend his support, proving that he was the backbone of the recruits in every respect. _'Good on you, Vark.'_ Dys thought as she engaged a bandit, juked around the swing of his smaller axe and swung her own down with surprising speed, cutting through his torso. Her eyes scanned the battle field, and Freiya was no where to be seen. _Yet_. The suicidal woman would be around eventually to take the glory, Dys was sure of it. _'Something is odd about this.'_ Dys realized as she easily dodged and cut down yet another bandit with the ease of which she could dispatch a training dummy. They had no coordination, no fire in their eyes,** _nothing._ ** Dys actually backpedaled from the next bandit she was fighting, unsettled by the current events. He charged toward her just to charge, a puppet set to it's stage. Dys dodged his attack and, instead of using her weapon to slice him in half, punched him so hard with a burly fist that he was knocked out, cold. She slung the bandit over her shoulder with one arm, the other one deftly parrying attacks with her battleaxe. _'The Captain'll have to talk to this one. This is the work of Magic, I'm sure of it.'_ Well, she was _nearly_ positive of it. She carefully dodged around groups of Knights fighting bandits, intent on getting this one bandit back alive. She couldn't afford to lose valuable information, and if he had nothing to tell... well, in the name of the Luminous Knights, she would execute the fool herself.
I love everyone's posts :] I need to read and post today, sorry if I'm a little slow!
### Corivana Espada & Kyo (interaction with Claire, John, Sindri, Zavier, and their pokemon) **Road to Hiden - Ayero** ------- **"Ahaha! Yer pokemon do be havin' a temper as bad as a beached wailmer, Claire Terrane, Head o' yer House."** Corivana stood with her arms folded beneath her breasts. She had taken a defensive stance between Kyo and the angry Groudon, and she wasn't about to let anyone hurt Kyo, not even a pokemon as impressive looking as Groudon. When Claire managed to settle him down, Corivana's stance eased, though she kept her hands where she could reach her scimitars from where they hung across her back. _Just in case_. When the topic of conversation came to introductions, Corivana locked eye with Kyo for a moment, and the master of the sea seemed to radiate peace. _'If they don't seem dangerous to Kyo, I guess I can introduce myself.'_ She decided, glancing around at Sindri and finally John, who she hadn't paid much attention to before. John was an odd one, perhaps more dangerous than the one dressed oddly, the closer she looked she realized. _'How didn't I notice that before?'_ **"I do be Corivana Espada, not head o' nobody, from the House o' vegetable pickers and boot lickers o' the country o' Ayero."** Her face took on a somewhat disgusted grimace at the mention of her family before she replaced it again with a smirk. **"I do be sailor o' the great sea, and a bloody member o' the King's Guard, pleased 'ta make yer acquaintances."** Her eye glided over to Claire, as if to say _especially your's_. **"This do be Kyo, I do be sure ye know of her. She wont be doin' any fightin', so ye can feel assured ye be safe from her."** Corivana gave Kyo's nearest fin a fond pat, and the legendary pokemon practically beamed her joy.** "And this do be a vulpix I found just recently, 'aven't named the scurvy mutt just yet. He do be hatin' that collar o' his, it seems."** She moved a leg to the side to indicate Zavier, who was huddling behind her and out of sight of the others. **"I do love yappin' the days away me mateys, but I do no want to hold up the Lady Claire. I can escort ye where ye need to go, if ye so wish me lady."** Corivana said with a flourishing bow as she produced a scarlet lily from somewhere on her person to hand to Claire. **"I will protect ye from morphs or bandits, and from the King's Guard itself if it do come down to that, for one as beautiful as ye do be, Lady Claire."** ------ ### Sophia Skyheart & Neva (interaction with Milly, Zaegar, Korrigan and their pokemon) **Nouvelle - Lugere** ------- _'Milly...'_ The nickname rang through her head, and she finally began remembering where she had heard the name before, and why Millicent Cheviot was so familiar to her. Long ago, her father had invited the Cheviots over and their daughter had come along. The other girl was tomboyish in comparison to Sophia's delicate nature, and Sophia had hurt herself during the last visit they spent together. They were playing on the waterfalls of the hot spring pools, and Sophia slipped and hit her head on the concrete... Her lips turned down into a small frown as she remembered her father ordering the maids to take Milly away from Sophia when he found out. They had never played together again, though Sophia did remember those days fondly. She hadn't been able to interact with other children often, and it was a dear memory for her. She peeked through her bangs at Milly and smiled. **"That would be great, Milly! Neva, did you hear? We're going to go to Milly's house!"** Was all she could say before something made all of her hair stand on edge. She knew this feeling, she was positive it was _him_. From behind her, Korrigan seemed to melt out of the shadows along with his pokemon, Shade. **"Korri!"** She exclaimed, losing all of her formality as she threw her arms around him in a hug, then looked at Shade as he preened himself. **"Shade! What are you doing here?! Milly, do you mind if we have another guest come with u--"** All of the sudden Neva tore into the air above the plaza with an angry screech, stopping her flow of cheerful words. Horror put on a play in front of her as her articuno descended upon a young man talking to a guard. The legendary ice bird brought a powerful gust of wind before it, forcing the guard to his knees. **"AWRAAAAAAAAACK!!!!"** Neva screamed through his gaping beak, his predatory eyes gleaming with fury as he prepared to lunge at Zaegar's neck. **"STOP NEVA!"** Sophia's hoarse voice carried across the square as she ran, or tried to run, towards Neva and Zaegar. She tripped at the steps, falling down and rolling till she hit the bottom. One of her elbows was bleeding through her coat, and a long piece of her leggings had torn in the tumble. **"Neva, you are my Guardian, not some barbarian that hurts every one around him!"** The articuno stopped mid-lunge, just inches from Zaegar's throat. He tossed his head back irritably before swiveling his gaze around. When Neva saw Sophia laying at the bottom of the steps, bleeding and glaring daggers at him, he rushed over, leaving the Morph who had offended him unharmed in his haste to be with _his_ Sophia. When he arrived he began to nuzzle her with his head and beak, and he practically cooed at her injuries like a mother would over her children. **"Neva, _stop_ it."** Sophia's tone didn't match her words as some laughter came through, though her expression told Neva he was in trouble with her. **"I sincerely apologize for my pokemon's behavior."** Sophia said as she stood up unsteadily, placing a hand on articuno to steady herself. **"I hope he didn't hurt you."** She gave a small bow of her head to Zaegar and the guard who was now just standing back up to his feet. **"Shall we go now, Milly? Korri?"** The remaining guards who were present had very different ideas about what would be happening, and had formed a defensive line between the aggressive articuno and Milly. Machokes flexed their muscles threateningly, and guards gripped their weapons, all they were waiting for was a word from Lady Millicent Cheviot to dispatch of the aggressors. Sophia placed a preemptive hand on Neva's chest to stop him from doing anything else to make their situation worse, and gave Korrigan a look that said _Please don't interfere_. Sophia's eyes trailed up to Milly, and she gave the other noble girl a knowing smile. She knew that Milly could take care of her own guards, there was no need for Sophia to do a power play in a city that wasn't her's. Especially when she was supposed to be travelling somewhat nondescript.
Huh, it has been awhile since anything has happened with Korrigan or Charak that is for sure.. It's up to you, if you want to play that character, play it since you've waited for awhile already. I'll be posting for Sophia/Corivana now :3 @Pirouette it's totally okay :3 I remember you saying school was coming up, I just wanted to give you a chance to post. EDIT: Posted for Sophia and Corivana. Sorry for the delays!!! :]
ohmygodnevaisgoingtofreakoutandtrytoripyouapart ;^; Just waiting for Pirouette to post before I reply over there. Oh lawd. The freak out is inbound. He's a high-strung thing ;^;
