So I'm not cool enough to do it, but I think a Pokemon based Nation RP would be cool. Jussayin.

Today is a day of sadness. It is the day I quit partaking of the drink of my lord and savior, Lord Coffee Bean. I shall be very grumpy for the next three weeks.

I'm all about that fantasy. I can mix it with other genres, such as sci-fi, slice of life, etc. but I generally stick to fantasy settings. As long as something supernatural or mystical is afoot, I'm interested. I generally like adventure, exploration, and conversation more than action and fighting in my roleplays as long as everyone is having a good time. I enjoy tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons, Scion, Dungeon World, and Ryuutama.
I was thinking of making a character as well to be a student, she might be able to room with Skyler if she's accepted. ^^
Also, on the whole "America" thing as a country for the RP, it was specified who would be allowed from North, South, or Central America, with no exceptions as far as I read.
4-Just because I say so the only cultures from the american continent allowed will be the mayans, the aztecs and the incas.
I would say be creative as you want with the intro. Did your character just arrive at Rondorio, or have they been there for awhile? If so, how long? Did your family have a legacy of attending Rondorio, and if so what kind of prestige did they have? Perhaps you weren't even planning on coming to Rondorio in the first place. Beasts out in the wilderness, a gang of bandits, etc. could have provoked you into training, to be stronger. Maybe the beasts/bandits killed someone important to you, so you're here to train?
Or maybe you're just here for the glory of the fight.
Either way, your motives should probably reflect alittle bit in your character's intro post. Perhaps you're a thief, stole something, were getting chased, and ended up being saved by one of the members of the faculty. If it's my character, Zeddicus, he'd probably tell you you're a worthless piece of crap and you need to prove yourself worthy, and offer you a spot in Rondorio to prove yourself more than just a common thug.
His signature sword named Farkas, which is two meters in length. He is rarely seen without it, but is also rarely seen wielding it among the students and faculty. For whatever reason, whether it be arrogance or caution, he only unsheathes it for events he deems necessary.
Armor:
Even more than his sword, his armor is in utter disuse. He refuses to don it for even important events, much to the dismay of his assistant.
Clothes:
(See Images) His style is casual, usually changing between loose fitting shirts and shorts of bright or unusual coloration. The only things that have remained the same are his favorite cloak, which has been torn in several places during it's life, his glasses, and his simple sandals. At one glance, many newcomers would not take him for the Headmaster of Rondorio. He welcomes their surprise each year during orientation, when he makes his sweeping welcoming speech and lewd comments towards the female students.
Bio (optional):
Zeddicus, who much prefers to be called Zed (especially by the ladies), is a man of quiet yet immense strength. He rarely flaunts it, yet it exudes from him as if it is an aura – and those who anger him will feel a measure of his strength and years just by his gaze. He is slow to anger, and a generally easy going and witty man, with a general respect for hard work and determination. He doesn't care for things like “talent” or “status”, and prefers to see those who enter Rondorio succeed by the skin of their teeth.
Information on much of his childhood and adult life is scarce, except for the fact that he hails from Hungary.
More info(?):
He has a habit of prowling around stairs waiting for female students with skirts – yet most of his attempts at this are thwarted and punished by his assistant when she finds him at it.
He enjoys drinking oriental alcohol perhaps a tad too much, and usually has a flask with him.
His assistant is a buxom lady who usually does most of the paperwork involved with being the Headmaster for Zed. She can often be seen with an arm full of papers, scanning over them as she walks at break-neck speeds down the corridors.
“These pups wouldn't win a fight against a caterpillar, let alone the tournament. Tsk. Too bad I can't do it myself. I'll just have to beat them into shape... perhaps I could get a voluptuous female student to train...?”
^ My in-character way of saying “I will win the tournament”
I forgot to mention the spot for headmaster is open
That's an interesting spot to leave open. I'm somewhat interested in playing an old badass geezer, but I have a few questions/concerns.
How would you maneuver the story telling if you're not in control of the headmaster? Would we co-op through private messages, or is this more carefree than that?
edit: Also, am I free to give him a more fleshed out bio/personality quirks if I get the spot?
Azalea bit her lip as she surveyed the situation. It was hard to think of a decent way out of this other than running, but those wolves could easily take down their horses and they'd be worse off yet, fumbling in the snow helplessly like fawns – no, even worse off than fawns. However, Zoltan had risen to the occasion, which made her appreciate the drunkard more. Maybe there is a hero in that fool. She thought, bemused.
Watching the events unfold with Jorn and Angriff made her insides wrench in abject horror. She tried shaking it off – yet every single lesson of her youth urged her to go mend Jorn's wounds – but realized she would need to take a thorough look at his arm if they made it out of this alive, and not before. However, if their trio didn't hurry in Angriff and Jorn's path, they would soon be left to deal with six wolves, all alone.
Azalea felt the weight of her mace in her hand, and gazed at the pair of wolves in front of her. “Bloody hells, I'm no warrior!” She growled but knew what she must do. She hurriedly tied a bandage around her hand and the hilt of her mace, to insure that it wouldn't be easily dislodged from her grip. She then rapped her heels against Ramsey's sides, spurring him forward into a half-gallop, and attempted to bring down her mace on one of wolves' heads, hoping to lessen the pressure on Cateline.

I think it's probably me x.x Sorry, real life has been rearing it's oogly head lately. It's hard to sit down to write after a long day and I'm super sleepy (you all know how it is).
I plan on writing up a post now. It might be short. I apologize. :/
Sorry I haven't really had time to catch up or say hi. I apologize. :/ I have found myself too busy lately to post in any of my rps due to irl issues. I'm on my "I didn't tell anyone I was going to be busy and now I'm apologizing and explaining" walk of shame right now. Le sigh.
Azalea gripped her bloodstone firmly in hand, her countenance grim as she acknowledged the demise of the man at the maws of wolves. She quickly turned her attention to the situation at hand. In the chaos, her horse had reared away from the oncoming wolves, bringing her next to Cateline, Jorn, and Zoltan. She watched as the archer deftly changed marks, aiming to lend cover for Angriff and the child.
In front of them, circling menacingly were three more wolves. She found herself suddenly very unprepared for dealing with the beasts. She could attempt to swing her mace at them, yet she thought better of it. They were lightning quick and she would more than likely lose an arm before hurting them in any significant way.
Then, suddenly, Jorn did something entirely unexpected and daring. “Utterly foolish!” Azalea growled. Yet she knew that he was doing as much as he could to save Angriff and the child. It was time for her to do the same. With a somber acquiesce, she retrieved her mace from it's loop on her belt and held it at the ready. After all, a missing arm wouldn't stop her from spreading the will of the Fair Lady. “I have your back, lady Cateline.” She would attempt to fend off any wolves who came at them while Cateline fired off her arrows, and afterwards hopefully begin their retreat to the village after the archer was finished.
Azalea heard Angriff tell her to run, yet she knew she couldn't leave the rest of their companions behind. “If it is as the Fair Lady wills.” She murmured beneath her breath. She glanced at Zoltan. “If just this once you could be useful, I could forgive all of your bad habits, drunkard. Just this once."
