"Intriguing. I would like to thank for your positive offer for a quick tour of queen's castle. Also, do you know any national *ahem* sorry I meant, the royal history about this magnificent place?" said the Veilletes Ambassador.

The Lady snaps back
"I'm not at liberty to discuss the history of this place before the Reformation 200 years ago. But up till now, its been under ownership of the royal family, in use by the Trogo Army and my family has overseen and maintained it ever since. Now we go out."

The guard by the door steps out to hold the door, despite it being automatic.

The arrows light up on the transport vehicle, it seems poorly equipped to be travelling on anything other then straight concrete of the port but maybe it can surprise its passengers.

The vehicles speed off, 2 bright luminous police motorbikes join infront of the motorcade. They are flashing their chase lights, but nobody is driving the motorbikes, they are driving themselves!
The group go onto a public motorway. It's freshly tarmac'd and well-lit. The signs above the motorway aren't written in human language though, it's all in computer imagery, black and white squares, thousands of them on each sign.

The drive is 5 minutes, at the turn off on the motorway, they're stopped at a checkpoint. As they stop to a halt, about 3/4 of the soldiers stand to attention to solute. They are wearing dull grey soldier uniforms, the other 1/4 however wear very archaic ceremonial uniforms, almost mocking the modern soldiers. Nonetheless they carry the same rifle on their chest. They just look on with dull expressions.

These strange soldiers are local ceremonial soldiers of the Unified State of Yvantol, a state in the Trogo Kingdom. States are only allowed a tiny percentage of their population to be soldiers, and are usually given token jobs by the Kingdom's army.

The vehicles are scanned by a large white robotic arm that swivels around and under the vehicle with a bright blue light and cameras. Dogs sniff the side of the transports before they are let go.

The castle seems poorly fortified. The dense forest though would be a good defense, although something seems extremly odd and spooky about this whole forest. The iron gate is lifted as the convoy approaches the castle gate. Inside the courtyard, tanks are conducting drills. It is quite noisy, though the soldiers standing nearby on lookout stand rigid without any ear protection. The convoy stops at what seems to be the entrance to the Lady's private area of the castle. A floral emblem adorns the left and right of these large doors, where a man awaits.

"Welcome to Castle Weisswolf. I've prepared several of these moving platforms for your comfort, feel free to ask for any refreshments, we have a dinner prepared after the tour if you so wish to join the Lady and several representatives."

These machines appear to behave like segways, without the leaning. They have a tall handle to hold onto but seem to have a controller stick on top to use with a thumb to operate the device.

Trogo state news has suggested to citizens to not fear significantly increased space rocket launches from Vandenmeer spacesite in the state of Orlichon

The TSA (Trogo Space Agency) is constructing Voyage Block 4 rockets in huge swaths, in collaboration with the Air Force and commerical companies. Payload is classified, at least in the news.
As the multicannon starts spooling up the banging stops. One of the merchants asks worriedly, "w-what are you going to d-do with us?"

The cannon spools down.

A whispering can be heard.
"Don't you think... this is wrong?"
"Shut up or you'll be reassigned!"

The same voice shouts
"SILENCE CRIMINALS."
The lab scientists at Fort Viktoriya have been tasked with inspecting the equipment found on the treasure ship.

The equipment will be catalogued and experimented with one by one, documenting every single spec and second of it as the trained experts and robots analyze them.

They start with an object that looks like a commercial oven. It's placed on the pedestal and is multiscanned. Temperature, radiation and other forms of sensing are also recorded constantly by a robot and beamed offsite live. The scientists in white labcoats inspect it and find a power outlet on it. They call for engineers to arrange a variable power source direct from one of the forts nuclear fission reactors.

"Nice decors you had there. Is a whole castle was influenced by Romanticism, Gothicism, Northern Europa-style or something else that I never heard of? The old Veilletes Kingdom castles is more of a Frankish Architecture you see. Well, way before the union of Militarian and Veilletes Kingdom." said Veilletes Ambassador after entering Castle Weisswolf.

Upon sitting at one of many meeting chairs but closer to the Lady so he can hand out the documents, the Veilletes Ambassador told the lady if she is ready for his diplomacy discussion of the Republic.

ooc: the boardroom is in a office structure in the port, the castle is 2 kilometers inland.

The Lady is happy to talk about the castle.
"Castle Weisswolf is my second home. It's built in traditional Northern Europa style by our ancestors and has been renovated over the years with a recent upgrade works last year. The castle serves as base of operations here in the east, with its large port as you can see. Castle Weisswolf Port is the home port of the Eastern Fleet and its flagship, TNS Jibril."

She adjusts her hat and picks up her book and flings it at the ground to the soldier behind her who is standing by the wall. He picks it up and holds it with his rifle awkward but doesn't make a peep.

"Again, I have permission to conduct international relations on behalf of Queen Freja. Since you are keen on our architecture, you are welcome to a quick guided tour of the castle. It is a 5 minute drive."
<Snipped quote by Apple>

"Indubitably." agreeing Veilletes Ambassador for attending to the board room.

The Veilletes Ambassador follows the Lady to the transport and firmly sitting in place until reached to the destination.

The transport drives slowly on the pier to the department buildings, probably as a safety precaution and lowkey to let the Veilletes ambassador to take in the sights of this dull and foggy day.

In the distance, those workers who were operating the jet lift seem to be handcuffed by uniformed soldiers, but this is partly obscured by the dented jetfighter in front of them.

As the transport arrives at the offices, all the soldiers on their way abouts stop and salute the lady as they disembark the transport. She salutes back and the proud soldiers continue on their way. The flag can be seen waving at the top of the building.

They are brought into a conference room. It's in a modern minimalist design, but the lady seems to have spruced it up. Paintings of the Trogo national flower Gloriosa superba, Tro City castle and Castle Weisswolf adorn the walls on either side. A traditional chandelier hangs from the ceiling with old-fashioned bulbs. A traditional book is left at the head of the long meeting desk. This is quite strange in Trogo society where e-readers emulate the authentic book experience well. Its title is:
Will your Lips Taste the Kiss of Death?

The Veilletes ambassador and co are encouraged to sit down at the table, as the Lady Anriette does so too, along with what is probably her aide, a young man in a suit to her right and an army officer to her left.

"Darnit," each say, "simulation technology." They start pounding on the 'walls' demanding to be released.

"Silence!"

A robotic voice echoes through the prison corridor. A multicannon can be heard spooling up.

=============================

The TSA (Trogo Space Agency) successfully launched a new satellite into orbit, named the Prosperity 1.

The Treasure Ship owners' drones can clearly see the rocket take off into low-earth orbit, and the first stage booster parachute into the East sea, near Veilletes territorial waters and an awaiting rescue ship with a defense detail.

The satellite emits a blinding blue light as a byproduct of it's completely scientific testing equipment and instruments. This directed light is clearly visible in the night sky to the naked eye blinking on and off, wherever in the world the Prosperity 1 is orbiting at a particular time.

"I think those gold chests are perfect. You can have these plasma guns in return for those," a merchant replied, as a wheeled robot brought a few crates of plasma weapons to the group. "As for the machinery, what are these many other things you tell us about?"
<Snipped quote by Apple>
"Darnit," each say, "simulation technology." They start pounding on the 'walls' demanding to be released.
<Snipped quote by Uncle Spanky>
"Well, what you must pay depends on what you have. As to what we can supply..."
The lead merchant presses a button on his arm, and robots start unloading various pieces of advanced technology onto the deck, as well as rare metals and precious gems.
"Does any of this interest you... fellas?"
<Snipped quote by Aceofreality>
They eventually get to the bridge and quarters, as these are merchant ships, not military.
As with the Trogo Kingdom, the navigational data seems to have been corrupted. There is no way to find where the merchants' headquarters are.
<Snipped quote by Apple>
It seems that the airship was propelled by good old coal, but unfortunately the fuel levels are at critical levels, and cannot fly. Despite all the advanced technology, how was it that they used coal to fly this thing?!? And why didn't they fuel nearly enough to return home, wherever that was?
One of the buttons turns the bridge area into a full-blown party, complete with loud music, a disco ball, and confetti streamers.
Another of the buttons the robot presses starts to activate the weapons on the ship...

Meanwhile at home...
<It is done. I have disengaged the computer systems in the two countries. They will be unable to find us.> the figures announced in unison.
"Good, good," the shadow darkly chuckled.
<Shall I list these countries as hostile, sir?>
"Yes, that would be perfect." He waved the figures away. "But now I have a board of directors to attend to, sister. They won't be happy about the loss."
<Yes, sir.> Most of the figures, except the one holding the hologram, glided away from the shadow, into the hallway. The one remaining tilted its head to one side; as if anticipating something. <Should we initiate the Orbital Defense System, sir?> The globe hologram suddenly spat out a number of orbits surrounding the planet:

"No, sister. That will come into play later. For now we must prepare to make an alliance against the upstarts."
The figure turned off the hologram and left the room. The shadow quickly followed, and the room was left in darkness.

The soldiers and engineers are bewildered by the sudden disco and ask the robot to turn it off, luckily it remembers how it turned it on.

The guns deploy on the ship and sirens start going of on the base, as the anti-aircraft turrets unfold and swing 180 towards the ship instantly, their motors can be heard from inside the ship spirring up...

The explosion detonated the ship, the turrets and the watchtower.
The ammunition store in the basement lit up and a massive mound of earth is flung into the air.

The Yahupi find what the Trogo soldiers did: a bunch of goods, such as rare metals and precious gems, as well as a mess hall, several crew quarters, restrooms, kitchens, and large but deactivated cannons. The bridge and captain's quarters are, once again, locked.
<Snipped quote by Aceofreality>
"We'd like to see evidence," the lead merchant softly demanded.
As he snapped his fingers, non-humanoid robots started delivering several of the packages onto the floor before the delegation.
"This is all on sale, by the way," he quickly added.
<Snipped quote by Apple>
As the door to the bridge blows up, the navigational data on the bridge is lost. However they do now have control of the ship.
<Snipped quote by Apple>
"Great, just great. I hate this," one of the merchants said.
"I'm sure we'll get out of this. Just gotta bribe the judge, can't be that hard, right?" another replied.
(OOC: Do I enter the courtroom?)
<Snipped quote by Uncle Spanky>
"We are here to trade with you," the lead human calls out. "Do you wish to have any goods? Well, they all have a price."
<Snipped quote by jorcool>
The radio message immediately receives a reply. "We are merchants of Shupoli Industries, here to trade with you! We do not mean to invade your territories. As a token of goodwill, our weapons are not activated."

The door barges open, it's poor stainless steel handle smashes against the concrete wall. You could hear the hinges aching.
This was instigated by a big black boot belonging to a soldier in grey uniform. He is wearing a small PDW on his chest. He marches to the other side of the room and shouts at the top of his lungs
"COURTROOM NOW."
The hallway is a drab affair but that's just a blip in one's memory compared to the court. Democratic is not a relevant word.
One well decorated looking officer sits at the top of a very high desk. You would swear by the amount of multicoloured badges she had she saved the world or something.
The room is dead silent.
"10 years solitary detention. Over."
"YES SIR"
The guards in the room handle the crew to an elevator which brings them to the ground floor again. They are walked at gunpooint to a section of the prison and are given individual cells.

The cells are 5m^2. Again, all concrete with no windows. The wall facing the corridor is some sort of strengthened transparent plastic with tiny holes in it for sound to travel. There is no toilet or bed or chair. In fact its just an empty room, your only friend is the light bulb!
After a few minutes, one by one, they are visited by two people in white lab coats and a guard detail.

They're forced to put this small gadget above their left and right ear. The guards make it clear attempting to remove it will result in a beating and punishment. Besides it somehow sticks to their heads.
It turns on and the crews visions are filled with blackness. That's it, for now at least.
The scientist says the exact same message to each crew member.

"We'll be performing some experiments with you."

As the scientists and guards leave each crews individual cell, the blackness turns into lightness, they can see again but they've been brought somewhere different. They're each in a wood shed, out the window is the vast Trogo hinterland with rabbits jumping about and birds singing in the distance. There's a door! However if one tries to open the door, a red cross is painted across it temporarily, and the feel of stone cold concrete can be felt.
This is the start of something bad.

=====================================

The soldiers make their way to the bridge, they dash to the computers as they see it doing something as soon as they enter. But this process seems to have finished before they reached the terminal.

They seem the flight instruments and apparatus are working as they dab on the throttle and they hear the ship making noises.
They radio HQ for a specialist robot. It arrives after a few hours after one was found in a barracks in the next state.
The engineers familiar with this rarely used robot set it up in the center of the bridge.
It's a large cuboid that stands upwards with its wheels on its base. Thin slender arms extend from all 4 sides across the bridge. About two dozen of them slither about and find their resting spot on different dials and controls.
The operator is on the robot's terminal on its back side typing away different instructions and code and such.

The projector on the top of the box projects blue question marks on all the buttons its resting on. They flicker like a poorly tuned television, in sequence.
Slowly but at a consistent rate the robot presses different dials and sticks. It's trying to learn how to operate this treasure ship. But what about fuel?

"Hmm.. Maybe expanding the literacy of school's curriculum by first introducing and promoting the engineering, politics and business courses.", suggested by Darston.

"The Federation do need a way to increase its economy and currently your people were working in a most crudest way possible of production. Lowest form of industrialism will not going to get us far, and will drive the foreign investors to seek somewhere more efficient. Hence, by expanding a few more branches of engineering courses on certain industries, not only it will improve the production quality and the speed of manufacturing, but also enable your people to use Veilletes manufacturing equipment imported from the Republic. It is also reducing the requirements of importing foreign workers in order to use the most advanced equipment.", Taught by Darston about the Engineering course implement.

"Second to tackle for amending new courses will be the politics. Few of your people will needed to acknowledge of drafting new rules, the power of leadership, and the administration of your land. The Federation do need few more 'people behold's key of power' to focus their specific roles on controlling certain areas properly and the introduction of judicial system for people to trial their innocence", told by Dartson about the Politic course.

"Lastly, the business course will teach the pupils to learn how to manage their businesses and also reducing the problem of desertion and bankruptcy within the first few months or so." said by Dartson about the Business course.

The occupied island was currently building up their infrastructures and the Veilletes military forces are preparing for another invasion route to the second Yahupi strait island.

<Snipped quote by Uncle Spanky>

"Well then, what do you offer for trade?" said by an outpost officer.

<Snipped quote by Apple>

The Veilletes Ambassador reaches out his right hand, hold onto Lady Anriette hand, then shakes along with a given response.

"Veilletes Ambassador of the Republic at your service. I'm here to discuss with several notions of given requests by the name of the rights of the people, and the glorious Veilletes Republic of risen from the olden days. Any opening for foreign diplomacy that ensures?" told by Veilletes Ambassador.

A few of the soldiers have scorned expressions on their face and tense up their rifles when the ambassador holds on to the Lady's hand.

Lady Anriette replies after a slightly longer pause then the social norm. Her outfit is a bland grey coloured sundress, with a very large hat that obscures part of her face. The dull sun doesn't spare much light to see her face better.

"Positive. I have been given special authority by Queen Freja, our reigning monarch to conduct talks with yourselves."

She pauses again, faint sirens can be heard in the distance as the jet aircraft lift fails and workers can be seen scrambling to aid the engineers on the other pier in the distance.

"Please allow me to take you to a board room instead of out here."

She turns to the soldier on her left and makes a request while she brushes her hair away from her eyes. This is darted out in not even 2 seconds. Impressive.

"Code Quebec Xray Delta Delta Five Two Six"

The soldier salutes and then presses 7 buttons on a screen mounted on his left arm in quick succession.

The transports have no driver but they seem to know what's up. The headlights and interior lights turn on, a dull LED glow.
