Well, here's the worst case scenario. Bukkit gets completely taken down. Then Mojang completely rewrites Bukkit(so nobody can bitch about it being the same code as before) and put it back up. That process however would take a couple moths minimum due to Mojang's full plate. And as for another taking up the mantle, that's what Forge is as well. A set of tools and some code. Its code is a lot different, but can do more then Bukkit could, if the coders do it right.

Minecraft Forge is our other option. It will have an update out by the end of the month. We could use Forge mods such as Forge Essentials, Opis, and Towny to replace Bukkit(None of them have to be installed client side.)

But it has a dedicated graphics card! I don't even.
But when it comes to Minecraft, it's the processor that matters. The reason I have over 100 FPS average in vanilla is my 3.4 Gigahertz Intel Pentium.
(Also, my comp was not expensive considering. Was 150 bucks from Amazon. Throw in another 30 dollars for the graphics card.)
