Hello..
I am always looking for new Rp'ers and writers to help fill in gaps between my posts in Rp's that I am currently participating in. I love to create new characters, realms, worlds, all very displayed. I am an artist so I like to add a bit of visual stimuli when I have the time. I try very hard to make it all very immersive. I have a few characters listed below along with my interests and other info...

My likes and interests are Medieval, Low-medium Fantasy, Fantasy, Historical, Ancient, Steampunk, Pirate/Swashbuckler, Dark, gritty themes (18+), Modern, Sci-fi, Future, Dystopian, Apocalyptic, Slice of life, Romance (with plot only), Mystery, Military, Mech/Mecha, Western, Colonial, just to name a few. I like play by post, or chat as well. Large group, small group, 1x1.

My dislikes are Fandoms, High School, ANIME, anything with FUR.. Did I mention fandoms? and fur, already?? I really prefer to play original Rp's and original charatacters for the most part, and I am always looking for new and engaging people to write with. If interested please feel free to PM me.

Writing Style-

Literate, descriptive, multi-para to novella posts. Mature and well written, with grammatical and punctual prowess, and I expect the very same from my partners. Please do not waste my time, and I will do my best not to waste yours.

I have a back story. It is very loose, and open for collaboration.. hence the title.. But what I am shuffling around in my head so far is something like a substantial size craft crashes to earth (one version) and we begin to develop the technology provided from it, several years later, the race who owned the craft come to light, and propose to help us develop those technologies if we would agree to join a federation of sorts of various alien races (not a plethora, two or three) to aid in a universe sized UN of sorts. A lot of earth based companies begin to develop weapons technologies as well as propulsion technologies. Some corporations are good and others are not. Same ol' same ol', but you get the jist. Maggie, my proposed character on the table, is mainly involved with corporate espionage, and the opposite, to help help keep things in order. Other alien races, who side with other anti-federation cells on earth, provide war at home, as well as interplanetary warfare on a much larger scale. My main focus will be the earth based, or at least solar system sized endeavors.. Front lines, behind lines.. all sides. but mainly a few, in depth characters with a good backstory.. (think "Ultra Violet"? type setting..)

Technologies.. Loads of it.. The main technologies and energy based propulsions and such will be from the federation, but black market and obscure items are commonplace.. I have a lot in my head, if you read my character sheet for Maggie, her "reflexx" cybernetics and such should give you a general idea of possibilities, and anything can be on the table for discussion.. but I do have a general direction I am trying to adhere to(though broad) since I have to draw out all the frames myself. I am glad to see the interests though. I think this has a lot of potential.

As for the characters.. I'm looking for a few antagonists, as well as a few supporting role characters. I need a little bit of both, just to get the ball rolling..

I have been wanting to do an Rp for some time now. I must admit that I am beginning a graphic novel which will be based solely upon my main character, and antagonist I will control to some extent based on situations that might arise during the dialog here at RPG. That being said, I am fully prepared to add credit in the novel where it is due. I am looking for a small to midsized group to RP/ brainstorm with. I have a few ideas for the main plot, but it is a bit foggy and could use a nudge or two. I am an artist, ( and also now a fledgling graphic designer)

I will post my character sheet to give you bit of an idea about what type of characters, as well as technological advancements that are available as well as a timeline. This is going to be a long process, a lot of brainstorming, and collaboration. I need a handful of good writers, rper's who can be dedicated long enough to make this what I know it can be. I have a few ideas to get the ball rolling which I will state below.

The backstory that I have so far is: The world as we know it is now year 2117 or so. An alien craft plummets to earth and crashes (not the small balloon type from Roswell, The united states government had already admitted the existence of alien presence around 2063, so it was only a thorough confirmation, the last nail in the coffin if you will. So this fairly substantial sized craft was reverse engineered and the quality of life ( and warfare) flourished for a short time.
Later, the beings related to the crash make themselves present and known to the world in 2042, offerings of peace and good will from them was only fortified when an alliance was struck with them (the equivalent to the current UN) a few years later. These beings also helped further our understanding of their various technologies acquired from the crashed vessel. There was a major boon in technology and the human race as a whole, and a huge responsibility to fulfill to all beings of a peaceful nature. People seemed to be getting their shit together, and the world had never been as one with itself as it had become. Things become a bit more complicated from there.. Other alien races (warlike in nature), arms development and black market dealings, espionage, and the list continues. I have much more, just an inquiry for those interested in a long term rp, and a graphic novel to boot. If interested, please inquire.

Psychological Evaluation:

Emotionally Detached, Margaret has been found as being cold and unpredictable. She shows signs of delusion, and also suffers from Manic Bipolar disorder with extreme mood differentiation. She is highly manipulative, and is considered to be very intelligent, thus making her a threat to others. She has no concept of remorse for her actions, nor shows any signs of sympathy.

Background:

Margaret Gunn is the direct result of a girl, who was orphaned at an early age. No one in the world to care for her, nor did she care for another. She was raised in numerous orphanages and group homes throughout her entire childhood. One of these in particular had quite an extensive file on Margaret.. The sisters at Saving Grace home for girls described her as "a hard case, with little hope of ever gaining any normality in life" and as "a loner". Her behavior during her early years was antisocial and stand offish, and was entirely pragmatic. Shortly after she became violent and malicious towards others, staff and ward alike. She caused great mental and emotional strain, as well as bodily harm to the other girls and several of the sisters that kept her ward. It was apparent to them that she was a bad seed, and there was nothing that was going to change that. She became highly manipulative and intimidated everyone. Sister Agnes Mary was quoted as saying that "her very presence in the room could send shivers down your neck" and also that "it would be in your best interests to avoid making eye contact"

It wasn't long before the sisters had made the decision that her behavior could not, and would not be tolerated any longer. Just shy of turning sixteen, the sisters turned her over to the military. A recruiter named Sgt. D. C. Beckett came to Saving Grace home for girls and her care was left in his hands. It wasn't long before she landed a position in a general infantry platoon, where she seemed to excel. It was even noted that she was a model grunt. She breezed through training and she gained rank in great stride. Her behavior on base was not exactly of merit, and she was cited numerous infractions. These infractions were looked over by her performance in the field. She had been in the military for 14 years before her induction into the 101st and was dubbed a " lifer" from that point on. Soldiers like Maggie weren't cut out for retirement. Shortly after she joined the 101st she went on to more pertinent training such as advanced tactics training, as well as interrogation training and the art of espionage, which later became her field of expertise.

The individuality embraced by the 101st seemed to fit her, and she has grown and excelled in every aspect since her enlistment. She lives for the mission, and her brothers on the field. As her training continued she began to flourish into a regular war machine. She was soon assigned to an elite group, known as "The Birds of Prey", who specialized in missions that were delicate in nature, assassinations, extractions, and various other dicey mission objectives. She was soon named "The Raven" by her colleagues, due to her macabre nature on the battlefield. She is an exceptional soldier, elite in all aspects, though her methods are sometimes questionable and have been described on several occasions as being extreme.

She has also been known to suffer from a condition known to soldiers as being blood drunk. It is commonly described as a state of rage where she fades in and out of consciousness and mutters to herself incoherently during battle. She also believes in the mythological Valkyrie, and to see her in action, one might wonder whether or not she is right. Some say she is a clairvoyant, and can see moments into the near future, but that is only speculation which she thoroughly denies. Aside from her "issues", she is a top notch soldier, and elite in all aspects of combat. She works best alone, or in small units or squads, and isn't known to be incapable of completing any task given. She is perhaps most affective in the field of interrogation as well as espionage. Again, her methods are not exactly common, but are highly effective.

I would maybe be interested.. more of a DA guy but I am flexible. only available on weekends though.
Sorry things have been slow. Every time I try and get on here the guild is down. I haven't abandoned this project. Also I just got a Wacom tablet for Christmas so I should have some concept drawings up soon.
that is more or less what my character will be doing. Port city is highly regulated by the Emperor, and things are only going to get worse. It is only a matter of time. The resistance factions will eventually make up the bulk of the plot, but remember that the plot is loose, and will be controlled by the players involved in it. The people in port city are extremely oppressed, and more of the same is to be expected. I think she will fit nicely within the crew.
@Stairdweller, very nice. I think that is quite an original character and well thought out. I would have never expected a diver, but it should fit nicely with the environment, as there is lots to be salvaged. Have you decided whether or not she going to be in the resistance or not? I think she would fit well as a part of Slade's crew. Anyone with ship knowledge and strength would do well within his ranks. The resistance is fairly secretive, and most of the work they do would be behind the scenes. Also, they could make good use of any good scrap that she may want to fence on the side. Her involvement could be a full commitment, or merely just a trade relationship, again it is all up to you.

My character Delilah is half on board with Slade's crew. Slade and her father were friends during the war, so he kind of takes care of her, offering side jobs, or trade work whenever she needs a little extra. Gun modifications, courier services, acquisition of obscure items and the like. You are also more than welcome to play more than one character if you wish.
I would hope I don't' need a writing sample.. As for character types, that is entirely up to you. You can be a resistance member, ordinary citizen, shop owner, anything you'd like. As I stated, this is a free range rp with an open plot that you wish to get involved in or not, entirely up to you. The rp is mainly focused on the resistance if that helps, but it is by no means limited to that.

Character sheets should look similar to the one I posted of my character, you can add whatever you want, just remember to add what I have at least. Goals will be decided by factions, or groups of individuals based on their needs at the time. I will add narration type posts to aid in the direction of what is going on from time to time to keep everything going, with different options or events to choose from. Again, this is highly an open roam type rp setting.

Oh and this is the older page. Here is a link to the one I will be using.

Well, I wouldn't say they were communists?? Socialists maybe?? Resistance fighters, against the emperor and his legions... yes. And by descriptive I mean details, described.. but not so much that it just turns into mindless rambling. At least a few paragraphs to a page or two, not 22, you know??
Interest Check: Descriptive style rp, more for the high casual to advanced side of things. A free range, open plotted rp, where characters may or may not involve themselves with the main plot. Do as you wish, or decide to faction up, the choice is entirely up to you. Multiple characters played by one person is acceptable. NPC's are also welcomed, though limited. This rp is intended for character growth, and also relationship building within ranks or other society groups.

The place: Port City

Port City is the main trading port in the Timmerill Empire. A bustling city full of trade posts, markets, small business, and is mostly comprised of working class citizens. A hodgepodge of buildings and shacks, almost one on top of the other. Most of the people that live here are poverty stricken, hard working, blue collar types, with only a handful of aristocrats and the wealthy are barely that.. The people of Port city work their fingers to the bone just to make ends meet. Many men, and women alike, work in the salt planes, or in the coal mines just north of the city in the mountains. The commute to both is by railcar. A set of tracks runs east to west and ties the districts of the city together, making it fairly easy to get around. Another set meets up and runs from the docks and shipyards, running north to the mines, and beyond to the inner empire through a mountain pass. Traveling by railcar can be difficult, as it is highly regulated by the Emperors troops. The city is in a police state and heavily regulated by the Emperor and his troops. Everything from common household items and food, and even medicine, are all regulated and rationed. Many have little, and only some have a lot.
The city is in constant turmoil and skirmishes between the Emperor and several resistance groups are commonplace. Everyone in Port city is fed up with the Emperor and his regime, but no one wants to aid the resistance for fear that it may cause problems for themselves. The Emperor has deployed steam driven war machines and large steam powered airships to combat these small pockets of resistance and everything has come to a head.

Times were hard in Port City and had been for a while. The poverty stricken people who called Shanty Town home had it the worst of all those who would call this port home. The Emperor, however, was not without problems of his own. Though his empire was financially sound as an economic powerhouse, and his amassed foot soldiers and gun ships were a formidable force, complete control over this great city seemed unobtainable..
The Emperor, Ashe Fontaine, had seized control of Port city and all of its assets during "The Great War" as it was to be called. He soon declared this new territory a police state, and regulated its inhabitants to extremity. Though he maintained his occupation over the territory, it has remained in a constant state of turmoil and chaos due to several pockets of resistance fighters. These factions aim to return Port city, and the people that call the city their home, to the freedom they once knew. However these factions struggle to unify against the Emperor and his troops, making it difficult to gain any real ground against him. If ever united, these factions could prove to be a real threat to the Emperor and his regime.

The Emperor has employed steam driven war machines to combat the resistance, and has had great success using these to his tactical advantage. Many have died, resistance and citizens, as bystanders fall in the skirmishes in the city streets. No mercy, or quarter is ever given, and morale for the resistance is at an all-time low, and little hope is to be had. These machines tear through the city streets causing major collateral damage, slaughtering innocent and freedom fighters alike. These machines are outfitted with high caliber artillery, flame throwers, and edged weapons, and can inflict massive amounts of damage to flesh and buildings.

Ashe Fontaine has also amassed great airships to regulate air-trade commerce, the seizure of contraband and various other commodities, and to hunt down and annihilate any resistance in the air. These vessels are steam powered, and are much faster than the airships of the resistance. However, they are bulky and loud and are not as stealthy as the air and wind driven ones that are common in the skies over Port City. Stealth is key for the resistance, and they go to great lengths to disguise themselves as common merchant vessels and strive to avoid the imperial ships at any cost.
The Places of Port City

The Resistance

These freedom fighters are comprised of everyday common men and women, and some soldiers left over from the war who provide military know how and training. Every citizen of Port city is fed up with the Emperor and his regime, though few will give aid to the resistance, as they fear of the repercussions it could bring upon them and their families. "The Crimson Fists" are perhaps the strongest, and best outfitted of these factions. Sky pirates, led by a commander Slade, are very organized, and conduct acts of espionage and the looting of munitions from the Emperors depots, turning them against the mighty regime, unleashing deadly attacks from the air and ground alike.
