Labramon nearly lost her balance from the sudden bump, but managed to remain standing by holding onto Elayne's arm. "Ye-yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it, it was an acc-"

The sound of Elayne's irritated snarls masked the rest of Labramon's words as she glared daggers at the Veemon. "Better not try that again,"

Her Digimon sighed, knowing what was coming. Even the slightest bit of physical contact would often rub Elayne the wrong way. She knew her partner did not believe that accidents existed, only that everything was some act committed specifically against her.

"Listen Elayne, he didn't mean it. Let's just keep going now... remember your objective? The Vacci-"

"Don't compromise that in front of these strangers, Labramon!" snapped Elayne. The young woman raised an arm as though she were going to hit her Digimon, but instead merely punched at the ground. Labramon flinched and recoiled.

"Next time, you'd better pay attention, understand? And you, keep your Digimon on a firmer leash!"

The librarian chuckled softly at Kouta's confidence. "Well now! It is nice to see that you're definitely not lacking in confidence, but I would advise you not underestimate your opponent! Renamon is quite a vicious fighter from what I've previously seen."

Ren watched Tiffany's strange actions and returned her greeting with a subtle smile. Tiffany was always such a playful member of the group, especially towards Kouta, and she found her attitude to be refreshing after a long day's hard work. As the battle continued, a disinterested Psychemon was gazing off in another direction... when he noticed a flash of light and a beeping sound originating from his tamer's pocket.

"It would appear that someone is at the library," stated the Digimon.

"Oh! Please excuse me, Kouta, Tiffany. I must check on this," The woman stepped away from the scene as she pulled a device from her pocket and touched its screen several times until a video feed of a young lady with a dark hat and a Wizardmon standing in front of the building appeared before her.

"Did you leave the library locked again, Ren?"

"Yes... blast it. This silly habit of mine, locking the library in broad daylight when others are still inside and there are others seeking knowledge!"

With that statement, Ren and Psychemon scrambled furiously back to the Data Collectors' base of the Odaiba Library. The library was typically open to everyone, but there were certain key rooms within the structure that were closed off and dedicated to research that was strictly off-limits. In her typical forgetfulness, Ren would often leave the library locked to the chagrin of many citizens due to the fact that she would mistakenly believe the ENTIRE library was off-limits.

She arrived before Hokuto in an exhausted huff, and put her hand up to indicate that she was still catching her breath. After she caught her brief, she addressed the teenager.

"My apologies, young lady. I am Ren, current overseer of the Odaiba Library, and I've left this building locked more times than I would care to admit. Anyway, here you are," Ren pulled out a key from her other pocket and unlocked the doors, pushing them open.

"I truly am sorry if you've had to wait too long, so I would like to make it up to you. Are there any books in particular that you are looking for?"

I don't know if I'm supposed to post because no one has interacted with me and I don't know what to post.

I'll be posting sometime shortly. Just wait for that. :P

Sorry I haven't posted in the IC! I'm waiting for Elayne or others! :D

Wait no longer for Elayne!

Or my new character, who has just been introduced. (And should be added to the first post. ^^;)

"Thank you, sir," responded the red-haired young woman. Elayne felt the typical tingle of excitement she did when he had approved of one of her plans, especially a time like this. She wanted to do something, and she wanted to do something now. Her blood was boiling from the string of inaction they had thus far, waiting for the plan to be completed. Her purple eyes watched Raito set off on his own course, then turned her sights briefly to Hokuto before she set out.

"Think of the infiltration as training of its own. Use it to get stronger. We certainly can't afford to get weaker. Don't screw up," Her eyes briefly looked in the direction of Labramon, as though she were addressing her as well. The Digimon seemed to take the hint.

"I won't screw up either, Elayne. You can trust me,"

"I won't believe that until I see it with my own eyes! Until I see our success," She proclaimed furiously, as she made her way out of the room in a brooding fashion. Labramon shook her head and followed solemnly.

The duo silently made their way through the complex system of elevators from within the giant tower down through the exit, where they made their way onto the street. She knew she wouldn't have to go too far until she found at least one of those guild rats.

As per usual, Ren and Psychemon were holed up in the library, their faces plastered to a vast computer screen of complex information with high interest. All manner of words and numerical digits were being scrolled through faster than could be humanly possible to read, as both Digimon and human eyes danced along with the movement of the information.

"Hmm. Intriguing," Psychemon's formal voice rippled the silence they had been sitting in for several hours.

"Yes, I see it. 'Firewall Organization,'" Ren answered back, her brain racing in high interest at the thought of finally finding out the name of that secretive and ominous organization she knew loomed above Odaiba in their vast tower. For many weeks now, they had eluded her and Psychemon's attempts for more information, something she found to be suspicious, troublesome, and frustrating.

"That must be what they're called,"

"I cannot think of any other way to refer to them. But we are still no closer to finding out what it is they do," The young woman shook her head as a shout from the outside interrupted her thoughts.

"Why do they insist on doing this?" asked Psychemon in exasperation as Ren peered towards the door over her spectacles.

"Training. Honestly, you and I should probably do a bit of our own. I just realized my legs have gotten numb again,"

"The limitations of physical bodies are so troublesome," responded Psychemon as he and Ren got up from their research and made their way out the door where they saw Renamon and Fanbeemon, as well as Tiffany and Kouta, engaged in a practice match. The librarian smiled pleasantly.

"Well, well! Up to a little practice, are we?"
Hope you don't mind, but I think I'll give a shot for the Data Collectors leader as well. She's gonna be a bit of an oldie, but I recall reading that the leaders should be older anyway.

Name: Ren Tunet
Gender: Female
Age (13-18): 26
Alliance (Vaccine Crusaders, Data Collectors, or Virus Hackers): Data Collectors
Role in Alliance (Leader or Member?): Leader

Appearance: Ren has light brown straight hair that is shoulder-length and pale green eyes with large round glasses. Her build is slim and petite (height standing at 5'3"), whilst her skin is pale. She prefers to wear businesslike attire, having a professional-looking collared lilac shirt with a black skirt that goes down to her knees. Her outfit pretty much looks like this. This woman always has a prim and proper-looking clean appearance, with outfits pressed and ironed to near perfection.

Personality: As one might guess from the way Ren chooses to carry herself, she is a very dignified individual. Serious, fact-oriented, logical, and more than a little uptight. Many describe her as a "hardass librarian." And that is exactly the type of personality one needs to be in charge of the Data Collectors. Intensely curious, she is further characterized by a thirst for new knowledge and information. If there's information out there, there's a good chance she can find it for you. Although stern and kind of judgemental, Ren is a surprisingly amicable individual once you get to know her. She is not only booksmart, but wise, and is never unavailable to provide some good sound advice. Ren believes highly that information and knowledge are the equalizers of everything. With just enough data, anyone can reach the greatest of heights. Thus, she is always willing to give even the most unseemly and crude-looking of individuals a chance to prove themselves to her and to clean themselves up in general. Though be warned, if you squander your chance, she won't hesitate to send you out the door.

Of course, due to the fact that she tends to be so serious and idealistic, she can often be impractical. Ren is more cerebral than anything else and doesn't quite think about the DOING so much as the PLANNING and COLLECTING OF DATA. As a result, some of her plans can be a little on the wacky side of things without much regard as to what is actually possible in reality or having the proper tools to care for oneself. She often gets so consumed in the pursuit of knowledge that she forgets to eat.

Biography: When life first began for Ren in Odaiba, things weren't all that difficult. She had a father, a mother, and a brother. But around the age of 3, everything changed. Ren's father left the family to pursue another relationship and left her mother pregnant with yet another child. Soon, the relative normality of her home was forgotten as chaos set in. They were poor and they struggled greatly, which led to Ren often being shoved to the wayside as the oh-so-dreaded Middle Child. Her mother was human, after all, and only had so much attention she could pay to the children whilst juggling a low-paying job. She felt like little more than an afterthought most of the time, but she became used to it, immersing herself deeply into books and often taking trips to the library to escape the chaos.

Technology began to swiftly advance, and a librarian who noticed Ren's constant presence introduced her to the magic of computers. From the start, she became immensely fascinated by this device that removed the limitations of mere paper, and she quickly got proficient at managing the library systems and searching through databases of information. They called her the Girl Who Could Find Anything. As all of this was happening, she noticed that a peculiar phenomenon she read about in a book once. Digimon, strange creatures made of data, were now a common thing in the real world. She could hardly believe it and found it to be fascinating, but never really did much to pursue the subject any further.

At the age of 16, she began a library assistant and begun to garner a following there. She rose higher through the ranks of the library, gradually making more and more money to get her family out of their financial straits. It was then that she began to believe in the power of collecting knowledge and data, its ability to bring people together in the library and deliver them away from their miseries. With the power of data, anyone could be equal. Money didn't even matter, nor did the fact that she was once a disregarded middle child. Everyone could be equal if they tried hard enough.

She soon came to find out that without a Digimon, she was not quite equal enough. All scores of misaligned tamers and their Digimon would come to desecrate her precious library, with some hackers even penetrating the databases, and she only had her fans to defend its hollowed knowledge. They implored her to get a Digimon of her own to protect the library, and to further aid in the collection of knowledge. Ren agreed and using the database, she searched for a worthy partner in the Digital World.

After countless weeks, she found one. A curious Wisemon heard Ren's plea for a partner, and found that it would be a rather interesting experiment to exercise. After all, he had traveled far and wide through the Digital World in search of knowledge and felt he had learned nearly all there was to know about it. A human partner would be something new, more knowledge to add to his book, especially since this one had the noble goal of protecting precious data and information. A Digivice soon appeared before Ren and she was told by the Wisemon to point it at the computer screen. He materialized before her in the real world, losing energy and de-digivolving to Psychemon in the process.

Since then, Ren's library fans came to form the guild of the Data Collectors, with them deftly appointing her as its leader. A bunch of tamers organized through the pursuit of knowledge and data, collecting it for the good of everyone, for the equality of all. But this wouldn't stop the rivalries with the other guilds from forming, something that Ren herself has gotten a little too sucked into. She sees the other groups as obstacles in the pursuit of knowledge and especially has a particular dislike for the Virus Hackers, due to her previous experiences.

Digimon Partner (put its rookie form here): Psychemon

Partner's Personality: Cold and calculating, Psychemon isn't much for emotional displays. He only thinks in terms of pure data and numbers, and only cares about expanding the information in his knowledge repositories. Though his original form is Wisemon, he stays as a Psychemon due to not having enough energy to maintain this form in the real world without the help of Ren. He and Ren aren't so much partners as they are colleagues, with him seeing his tamer as a respected co-worker. Ren has no real qualms with the nature of their relationship, as she sees Psychemon in very much the same way. Though he'd rather not admit it, he has actually come to care for the girl over the years. And it would seem that Ren has also come to care about him. Not that either of them will admit it. It'd be rather awkward.

"And what about me?"

A young woman entered the scene with Raito and Hokuto, gazing fiercely at them with lavender eyes. There was no real regard for manners as she barged in. She only paid the last of his words, everything else seeming irrelevant to her. This ruffian red-head bore her teeth much like a ravenous dog that was defending its territory, resembling one much more than her canine companion, Labramon. "For all we know, one of those guild scum could've infiltrated us. They might be well ready for it. We have to react quickly. So much hard work can't go to waste so easily," As usual when this fiery red-haired woman spoken, it was accompanied by grand gestures of stamping and violently punching at imaginary enemies.

"But Elayne, how would they know? Haven't we put great protections in place?" responded the small canine Digimon.

"There are always kinks in any protection. Even in a cooperation as illustrious as ours. One of those groups is made up of hackers who I'm sure would know the ways into our mainframe. Then there is a group of data collectors who I am sure are hungry for our information, and..." She paused for a moment to this time glare at these imaginary opponents, picturing a snooty angelic creature looking down at her. "...Crusaders of so-called justice. Sir Kaito, I think we should each infiltrate these organizations ourselves and destroy them from the inside out before they give us any trouble. I volunteer myself for the Vaccine Crusaders."

Possibly. I was originally going to say we start once we get the leaders of the three Guilds, but if enough of you guys wanna start tomorrow or close to the end of the weekend, I'm cool with that as well!I remember as a kid I really liked the 02 Digivices, but nowadays it's just like clunky when you set it next to the rest of the Digivices, imho...

I'd be fine with starting sooner. Maybe as the RP goes on a bit more and I get a better feel for my character and nobody else has done so at that point, I'll create a leader for one.

Also, I agree with 02 Digivices looking clunky. I was never a big fan of them, and Elayne will probably just being using the Classic Adventure one.

Since it was set in Odaiba, I was thinking of using the originals. However, Savers/Data Squad's Digivices are fine too since they pretty much work about the same. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Perhaps there can be room for both? It could be that different digivices types were manufactured by different groups, so people can pick the one they prefer for their character if they'd like.
I'll be a part of the Firewall Organization. Hopefully, this is all right. If there's any problems in my application that contradict things, let me know!

Name: Elayne Van Feur
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Role in Organization (Leader or Member): Member

Appearance: Blood red straight long hair with striking purple eyes. She stands at around 5'6" and has a normal build that is neither too built, nor skinny. Elayne wears a long dark coat that has a fur collar with maroon leggings and aggressive-looking spiked silver boots. The coat has the logo of the Firewall Organization on the back.

Personality: Fiery, stubborn, fiercely determined, aggressive, hot-blooded, emotional, irrational. Elayne's personality is as stereotypical as her hair. She's vicious and immensely defensive and really hates the idea of Digimon guilds and groups due to some rough experiences in her past. Yet as expected, there's something more to it than just that. Her personality is formed from her intensely irrational fear of being hurt. Any sort of pain - physical or emotional. She will react far in advance to any sort of perceived threat, even if slight. Whether with a physical blow or with scathing words. She sees life as a competition and everyone in it is her opponent. In spite of her emotional personality though, she's actually quite intelligent and insightful about the feelings of others. She is also very secretive and selective with what information she reveals and doesn't even trust her own partner, Labramon, too extensively. Her quick reflexes and reactiveness in the face of danger make her a valuable asset to the Organization.

Often, she is pushing her partner to go past her limits to the next level, wanting her to have more power to prevent threats from occurring. To her, Labramon is only a means of protection rather than a friend or a partner. She works together with the Digimon only to achieve her goals, about which she is very adamant of. The unification of everyone under one protection, one Firewall Organization, so that she can finally feel safe.

Biography: As a child, one would virtually find Elayne to be unrecognizable. Both physically and mentally. She was born into a seemingly normal family in Odaiba. With one caveat - her parents mostly ignored her in favor of their research on Digimon. They were very avid scientists. The only time they would interact with her was to punish or scold her when she made a mistake that they happened to see. As a result, little Elayne grew secretive, shy, quiet, and withdrawn. She would constantly hide from others in fear of doing something wrong.

That is, up to the age of 14. Ten years ago, her parents left the house for some important research. Weeks passed, and they didn't return. Elayne was quite content without them at first, but started to become fearful as the reality set in. Eventually, she decided enough was enough and took to the streets to search for them. It was a perilous long journey when she inevitably reached the rough side of town, and one where she had to learn to adapt. With vicious Digimon gangs constantly squabbling and fighting, there was no one she could trust. She soon learned that reacting quickly was the key between life and death.

On one particular day, she found a digivice on the ground. With it was a young Labramon, lying on the ground in tears. The Labramon told Elayne that she had lost her partner to one of these fights. The young teen scoffed in disdain, having grown to hate such groups, She told the Digimon of her story, and the two bonded over their mutual losses, beginning to travel together. It was rough-going at first, with Elayne not having quite known how to interact with others. But when one of the gangs' vicious Digimon attacked the young woman, Labramon jumped to her defense and digivolved to Seasarmon to protect her. Elayne was not one to sit down at the time and jumped into the fray as well, fighting viciously alongside her Digimon until the pair managed to scare off their opponents. A Firewall leader was watching the situation nearby in his car and was impressed by the amount of potential he perceived in this girl and her Digimon's power. He took her in, and only served to encourage Elayne's newly gained personality traits. The man told Elayne that under the Firewall Organization, all of these groups would be eliminated. One organization ruling everyone and everything, peacefully, like a utopia.

Eventually, when she became old enough, she joined the Organization. To mark her new transformation and distance herself from the old her who she perceived as meek and defenseless, she dyed her hair blood red and took on a new moniker. Elayne's true name is unknown to most nowadays except to Labramon and some of the Organization's higher ups.

To this day, she still doesn't know where her parents are and quite honestly, doesn't care to find them anymore as she perceives them as having abandoned her.

Digimon Partner (put its rookie form here): Labramon

Partner's Personality: Labramon once had a kind tamer and as a result, developed a sweet and very loyal personality. She is less aggressive than Elayne, but just as vicious when it comes to protecting her partner and is obedient to a fault. This Digimon shares her partner's defensiveness and has a personality similar to a guard dog. She often tries to keep Elayne out of danger and acts as a kind of conscious for her, but frequently cannot control her own tamer. Labramon has since grown to accept that Elayne is Elayne, and her personality cannot be changed. Deep down inside though, she wishes her partner would trust her more and show her more affection.

Partner's Digivolution Forms (from In-Training to Mega):

I've written so many of these introduction topics on my Quest for a Good Forum, and all of them have a horrible title. I'm really quite bad at that sort of thing.

Suffice to say though that I AM here. For now. I may not be here for very long if I lose interest, something that occurs frequently to me in my Quest for a Good Forum.

Anyways! Excuse my bluntness. Call me Arylett. I'm a 22 year old female who has been roleplaying for 12 years. Nowadays, I only really RP with one person via Skype. This is something I look to remedy, as my creativity cannot be contained by only one roleplay. My mind is constantly bustling with ideas and that is evident nowadays especially as I look to expand the amount of characters I play. You see, I've been playing the same character in all of those years. Don't I get bored, you may ask? Sometimes I did, but mostly I'd play their personality in what I call different "angles." They'd have slightly different behavior and emotions depending on the situation of the roleplay or depending on which aspect of their personality I wanted to explore. I have an interesting new angle for this character I'd like to try out, but also would like to delve into some different people as well. It's something I've done before, but not too extensively.

Favorite genres are fantasy, adventure, sci-fi, and a mixture of all three. I don't do slice-of-life.

This place appears to be active, laid back, and have roleplays that are to my standards. So hopefully, it'll be interesting enough to keep me hooked. :3

Oh yeah, I also do art. I might post that here at some point.
