Something isn't clicking here...XD But I guess his assumptions are corrected now.
Welll…that speech the recruiter dude gave out was certainly a loud one. Zeal was actually pretty inspired by that man’s boisterous speech, and applauded at the end of the spirited performance…before realizing that he was probably one of those old-fashioned types whose only strategy consisted of tossing soldiers into the machine gun meat grinder for a glorious frontal charge. Damn.

He spent the rest of the trip praying that the recruiter wasn’t also the person in charge of planning things out, and, after the recruits were lead to the barracks of Squad 4, Zeal was pleased to see that the man in charge was a Darcsen, one by the name of Harald. The ash-haired youth breathed a sigh of relief at that, before watching the introductions unfold. It looked like the albino with the nice ass was also rather pissy, already managing to anger one of the older members of Squad 4 by violating the buddy system or whatever. Didn’t they already have this place secured?

Well, actually, they probably didn’t, seeing how mines still had to be laid down and such…

At least it was nice to hear that the food was good?

“And I’m Private Zeal Ashart,” he interjected, rather awkwardly, “Used to be a Scout, before I was retrained as a Shocktrooper since there’s a shortage or whatever. And yeah, he sorta did kidnap us. Wonder if he thought I was a girl or something...”

He didn't offer a handshake, mainly because it was going to be awkward if the Sergeant had to shake two hands at once, and instead, settled for the usual.

"Anything I can help out with?"
…Was this supposed to be a poetry slam now? Why the hell was Chikage reciting a bad haiku? What was the point of all of this? Rui-Ling mowed through more of his desserts, washing irritation with sweetness, until the ancient loli decided to direct a mortal blow towards him. Flushing angrily at her words, Rui-Ling replied, swallowing a painfully large scoop of ice cream, “Can it, you washboard hag. If you weren’t so intent on attracting pedophiles with your faux-elegance, maybe I’d actually take your romantic advice seriously.”

With that harrumph, he went back to eating. At least the elderly jailbait was getting to the meat of the issue now…which was also pointlessly and painfully enigmatic. Something bad is going to happen in the near future? For humans, isn’t that normal? And an ancient evil? What’s that supposed to be, her period? And of course that’d take the form of a bunch of missions that any wet-behind-the-ears Chaser could take. Why not just form an elite group of Youkai and Chasers, instead of giving it out to the general public? He wasn't really sure what Chikage was even thinking...but then again, that troll was probably thinking of nothing.

While recovering from his bout of brain-freeze, a new arrival came in, some youkai fan of Shiina’s that immediately hugged the vampire maid…before her guard dog rushed over, punched down the poor butterfly-moth-whatever-thing, and then Sheridan pointed one of her guns at it, clearly intent on blowing it into pieces.

Wow. All these overreactions these days. Shiina wouldn't die even if it was a suicide bomber moth, so what was there to be worried about?

Hell, what if it was Shiina’s vampire-moth cousin or something? Kids these days, using violence to solve everything. Between Shiina’s knife-toss threats and Eiko’s vicious takedowns, the young immortal was really questioning the rules this café had in regards to treating customers. He placed his silver hand over the muzzle of Sheridan’s assault rifle, just in case the Spice Reaper was feeling trigger happy that day, before saying to her, “A little hasty, isn’t it? Though I suppose rocket punching that poor thing was already too much in and of itself.”

“And Chikage, don’t suppose you know this moth at all?”

@kapuchu
Humanoid creatures with flesh made of titanium and metals, capable of fighting stronger than a hundred men could at their highest potential. Wielding bladed weapons that were also capable of firing lighting and thunder with shards of steel, the word of the Scions and their strength soon spread. A single force was more than enough to slay dragons and villages, taking over territories held by Angelic and Demonic forces, while the lesser races were forced to retreat in fear of being decimated.

From the first post of the OOC. I doubt they'd be any weaker than this. So fighting them at your current state is a bit of a death sentence.
Not sure where Gnar is off to now, really. Hopefully it's not another report or essay or school thing.
Chikage stole all of Zane's edgy thunder.
I was waiting for the two girls to do something before I did. Gotta gauge reactions and all.
Huh, this is my first time hearing about Youkais straight up dying if they have their soul removed... The intention was for Airgetlam to be the strongest non-fatal weapon or something. Is there a way to work around that?
@Lmpkio So it's less 'revival' and more like 'recycling', huh?
