In the year 3,700 the last remaining healthy humans on Earth managed to salvage a large mid-length term space ship called The Explorer. The ship launched with an estimated 100 years of air, 1,000 if the occupants went into hyper sleep. They set the ship on a course to take them to a planet that many years before had been discussed as a possible new home for the human population. The plan to move had never been accomplished because of the war and collapse of the infrastructure everywhere.

What these humans didn't know is nearly a thousand years before the mythical creatures of the world boarded a series of ships and traveled the the very planet the humans had set their ship to navigate to. The planet had been named Erellon, located in the Ruby Galaxy, the planet is a beautiful one the creatures had found, the oxygen levels there slightly higher than those on Earth. The planet is about 1.75X larger than Earth and has a much higher ration of land to water and fresh water to salt water.

In the nearly thousand years since their arrival the mythical creatures have created a place that anyone would be grateful to live. There is no pollution here, they have done whatever necessary to avoid making the same mistakes that were made on Earth. In doing so they have made a society that is tradition, people ride horses and some of the other animals that already existed on Erellon, there are no cars, only a few air ships to patrol the atmosphere and monitor air conditions. Technology is minimal here, though they have developed many very fast and effective medicines from natural sources for what few illnesses exist on Erellon. People have returned to a traditional way of living.

Lycans and Shape-Shifters tend to be farmers and raise livestock while Vampires tend towards being craftsmen of some type, Elves also lean towards crafts and trades though they do appreciate growing fine gardens. The Seelie Faeries, though, tend more towards being growers of fruits and vegetables while the Unseelie tend to own shoppes and taverns. Pixies, as I mentioned in their description are rather fashion forward and tend to be clothing designers and shoppe owners. Witches are usually doctors and Warlocks lean towards one parent or another and go towards the dominant set of genes. People do what they are good at though and everyone has their own set of skills and twist they put on their trade or products or something they are particularly good at growing or raising which evens things out for everyone because then everyone has something everyone else wants due to word getting around that so and so has the best this or the best that.

Homes in Erellon are powered by some electricity, mostly produced from solar panels, home wind turbines, or hydroelectric generators powered by streams and rivers. There are many bioluminescent creatures and plants on Erellon that produce light and are kept either as pets in the home or in pots. Bioluminescent trees line the streets as street lights.

Children go to primary, secondary and then finishing school. When they reach the age of 14 they are allowed to begin shadowing adults who have jobs or trades that interest them. They have a year to do so and then at the age of 15 they make their final decision and begin studying their trade along with their regular studies. At 18 they graduate and begin an apprenticeship with a master tradesman and then after 5 years they are a general level craftsman and may begin working on their own business. On Erellon there is no currency, only bartering and trading to prevent a massive gap in social classes. Even the governing body lives in the same manner as everyone else, they are bound by what they can grow on their land and barter for.
Some of the more valuable commodities include harder to produce items or those that take extensive work and time to produce along with harder to find medicinal products and food items, perhaps the most valuable commodity on Erellon is pack and draft animals. Because everyone has the same basic size parcel of land no one person can control a market on an item. Items are only worth what the consumers can afford otherwise the seller would have no variety of items in their own life. Some of the less valuable commodities are staple foods like root vegetables and easy to raise meat animals and basic clothing items.

The ruling body for Erellon is divided in several ways. There are local leaders for each race, district or zone leaders, and then the highest level of order is called The Council which is simply when the district leaders convene on important matters. This occurs very rarely. Local decision are made by the leaders of each race amongst themselves. However, there are several laws in place that everyone must follow. The dividing point is what is done when an infraction is made, these things are left up to those local level leaders.
When people have discrepancies they appeal to their local leaders for advisement and mediation. During this time they spend time together and consult others and their leaders who in turn suggest solutions to the problem until one is agreed upon by both individuals. The only race that still consistently solves disputes with violence is the Lycans and only when it is among their own kind as it is tradition. There is of course still some violence but it is minimal, there are no guns and nearly everyone has fairly rapid healing. Only severing of heads, spinal cords, or puncturing the heart can kill many of the residents of Erellon.

Now back to those humans that are aboard The Explorer.
Nearly a hundred years after they left Earth an atmospheric patrol unit discovers the craft in orbit of Erellon, it is on its last bit of fuel. The crew of the patrol ship awakens its occupants. They are brought to the surface along with the craft and the items they brought from Earth. All modern weapons are confiscated and destroyed to prevent large scale damage. Those humans, as humans always seem to do, adapt and become part of Erellon's population. Leaders are elected to join The Council and their new lives begin.

----------
The year is now 14,000. In honor of the millennium The Council has decided send an exploratory mission back to Earth. It will be a team of people who each offer their own unique skills to the group. However in the last 11,000 years Earth has become wild again. Only a few of the monuments that were icons of the world have survived. The continents have moved and the climate has changed drastically from when those last humans left so long ago. The team will be well equipped with supplies and animals to take along but unknown wildlife now resides on the Earth.

Since there has been a bit of interest I'm going to go ahead and make the OOC and get everything set up. Please be sure and take a look at everything I put up. I will be posting stuff for the next couple hours and tomorrow as well.

Hobbies
Hunting, working out, tracking

Fears
Being challenged when he becomes Alpha, not finding a match

Personality
Niall is very logical, even when he might not seem that way. He does everything for a very specific reason. He can be romantic when he wishes to be and can be quite charming at times. However his instincts do sway him a lot of the time, there is only so much control a wolf can have. He does his best not to let the wolf show when he's around other people, humans especially but he can be rather volatile as he doesn't have a mate. One thing to note, never run from him. Ever. Walk away if you must but never run. Niall can also be very possessive as most canids can tend to be. It isn't really ever advisable to touch anything that he considers to be his. This can be items, clothes, or even other individuals.

Biography
Niall was born into a relatively large pack, a 147 members at the time of his birth. Their numbers are slightly less now hovering around a 120 members or so give or take some floater wolves. Niall's father Keenan is the current reigning Alpha of the pack and has been for the last 70 years or so. Niall, of course, being the Alpha's son lived the good life. He was well protected and had everything he could possibly want. However, with the position comes responsibilities, like learning to fight your way out of mess and talk your way out of one too. One must be a warrior and a diplomat all at the same time. Niall wanted for nothing but spend the majority of his time training and learning from his father. As the oldest son Niall will take the throne when he is deemed ready and has completed the mating ceremony. This requirement is what brought him to Ivy Wood Academy.

Non-Human Information

Species
Lycanthrope, Loup Garou
Abilities
Niall has a secondary form that is a canid-like creature with no current scientific classification.
Weaknesses
Niall has a mild allergy to silver, it gives him a rash and makes him itchy when it touches his skin. If pure silver were to get into his bloodstream it would kill him. Other than that only severing his spinal cord will kill him.

Extras
Niall, is the Alpha's oldest son. As such he is the heir and is expected the find a mate and take the position of Alpha when his father deems him ready.

Extras
I would like to become a part of this as well. Are you in need of male or female characters? Also would it be acceptable if they were a Lycanthrope?
Yes it would be possible but because of the way I've set them up in the description the higher the rank the stronger the need to find a mate would be. Lycans operate almost completely on a checks and balances system. The males alone would be extremely violent and ruthless while a female ruling alone would be subject to constant harassment and they aren't keen on punishment or extreme amounts of violence, they also tend to be a bit more abstract as opposed to a cut and dry logical male. Don't get me wrong they are no frail flowers but the pack would demand she find a mate or she could be challenged for the position by a male and that would not go very well. Some of the males are nearly twice the size of the females and because they're unmated they will kill to win. Plus an Alpha would be required to remain with the pack as they are sort of the glue that hold the pack together. Without them the pack would simply disperse and become parts of other packs.
A Beta ranked female would be a better option, still a high rank, one that they can obtain by themselves. Also they would be allowed to leave the pack for the extended period of time.
Those will be the character species that players can choose from. I will be adding a few more as well I think. I like to have a detailed standard description so people aren't trying to be the biggest and baddest and there won't be any conflict of ideas as far as what a species can and can't do. There will be a massive list inside a hider in the actual roleplay of creatures, pictures and all, that now inhabit the Earth. In this, however, there was no nuclear warfare, it was mostly civil wars that tore apart the economies and resulted in the collapse of the infrastructure which of course is the downfall of almost every modernized country in the world. People go nuts and loot and destroy stuff. That is one of the reasons that the races that colonized and settled Erellon chose not to have such modern things. They brought the technology along and simply chose to destroy it. The only technology that they kept was the advanced medical technology and the space crafts to patrol large areas. Other than that everything is either powered by nature, there are a lot of bioluminescent organisms on Erellon, or magick from the different species.

Lycans and Shape-Shifters tend to be farmers and raise livestock while Vampires tend towards being craftsmen of some type, Elves also lean towards crafts and trades though they do appreciate growing fine gardens. Okay, I've been on the site before and several others but I've been on a very long hiatus. The last time I was on the site was probably three maybe four years ago. It has advanced a lot since then and I'm looking forward to getting back into roleplaying and brushing up on my writing skills. I'm looking for people who can post at least two paragraphs per post and can make a post roughly every other day at least. If you will be gone on a trip or something simply let me know.

Once there are at least four people interested in the roleplay I will post some more information. I have a long list of complied creatures that will be animals found on Earth and animals that exist on Erellon. When we begin the roleplay it will begin as the space craft lands in the designated area. I will also be posting maps of Erellon and a map of Earth's current state.
