Bio

Hi, I'm ASplashOfMusic. So I'm more interested in 1x1 RPs and small groups because the posts are easier to read through and manage. I don't like big groups because most of them usually flop in the end. In 1x1 RPs, I'm fine with any genre and setting, except maybe Historical and Fandoms, but I'm not totally against it. I usually take partners that do casual posts, but from time to time, I do free posts.

This looks interesting! Aww, is it already full?
Name: Asfynne Lanthe
AKA: optional
Age: 67
Race: Yhei
Appearance:
Faction: Marauder
Role in Team?: Navigator and Communications
Bio: He has been a curious soul ever since he was a kid. But unlike his other fellow Yheis, he had an open mind about the other planets. He had read about the other planets in his studies and found them fascinating as they all sounded very different from Planet Muck (even if they put more light to their own planet). When he saw some travellers land on their planet, he decided he wanted to be like them too.

So when he could, he started to make preparations and plans on fulfilling his dream, making maps, learning how to pilot, buying a spaceship, fighting, and many others. He already had some people who were ready to go with him as well. His family didn’t forbid him from doing this but he could see they didn’t really agree with his dream. Though what could they do to stop him when he was so set about it? They were fairly well-off, and he has been saving up for years for this. His savings combined with the money he is earning right now was soon enough for him to buy the necessities.

And so he and his crew went off to different planets, learning what they can from the locals, and doing jobs here and there to sustain themselves. They even discovered a few unknown planets. He had picked up a few languages, which he tried to expand and hone further as he knew this would be useful knowledge to have.

However, on one of their trips, they were attacked and captured by bandits. They tortured them and did unspeakable things that scarred Asfynne and his other crew. When they tried to escape, things went wrong and only Asfynne and few others were left alive. From his capture, he just broke and went in a complete rage, managing to grab a weapon and killing them all. He sustained many injuries afterwards, it was a miracle he was still alive. As he ran out of the building, he went unconscious. When he woke up, he was in a prison, chained the walls. His wounds had been treated, but not all of them. Turns out, he killed some pretty influential people, or at least their relatives, and also some innocents in his rage. His companions died as well. Due to this, he will be sent to prison with death sentence in a few weeks. His being a Yhei didn’t help his case.

Few days before his death sentence, he was given the choice to either join the Marauders or die, and he chose to join in the Marauders.

Personality: He was naturally curious about things unknown to him. He liked to explore around and be active himself. He was also deeply loyal to those people who had earned his trust, his crew mates for example. He would lay his life for them if he had to. After all, he had been their leader for many years. He wasn’t the typical leader type, but he would rise up to do so if he had to. He wasn’t a reckless person and would always calculate his decisions before doing anything. He was the type to have a back-up plan, but knows how to be flexible in case of anything happens. Despite that, he was a cheerful and optimistic person who believed things will happen if they will it to do so.

That changed after his capture. He still has those most of those traits, but they were now buried under slight insanity. He still has his mental faculties, it’s just that if he is triggered and pushed enough, his personality can turn around completely. He becomes cruel and merciless as he gives in to insanity. He is also more reckless now than before.
Weapon(s) : He usually sticks to knives or daggers as most swords are too heavy for him to fight optimally.
Star-fighter?: None
Here's my CS. I'm so sorry! I have no excuse. I don't know much about the Committee so his bio may have some errors. Also, do they have hair? Not just Yhei, but other races as well. Because extraterrestrial beings in movies aren't shown to have any.

Hey, I'm sorry I still haven't posted my CS yet. But I'll most likely post it today. If not, then tomorrow at most. Can I ask, what is the lifespan of a Yhei?
Would a navigator or communications person work as a job for my character? I was planning that he travels often so he knows his way around and can speak many languages.

But then I considered that the first one is similar to a pilot and the second one is similar to an ambassador. I honestly can't think of any other role. If the two aren't available, do you have any suggestions?
I'm interested though I'm not sure if I would have the time to join in.
Brian leaned back in his seat as he waited for the cars to start moving again, tapping his fingers on steering wheel impatiently. This darned traffic. His lips were downturned, frowning, and his brows were furrowed with annoyance. He looked at the rows and rows of cars in front of him. He knew without looking that there were a lot more cars waiting behind him. Waiting for half an hour in traffic was already torturous, and he had to endure this on most days. He couldn't even look at his phone whenever he had a passenger and a good number of them had no interest in making small talk. And the more traffic, the fewer passengers he would be able to take in a day.

He bit back a sigh. They either needed a better traffic system or there are just too many cars in the city these days. He glanced at his watch. A few more hours before the end of his shift. He couldn't wait. All this waiting around in traffic is just boring. He looked around for something interesting to look at because there's nothing else to do. His passenger at the back seemed quite busy with how his phone had been ringing for a while now and didn't seem the type to talk to people like him.

His eyes scanned from the lights coming from the buildings and lamp posts to the various billboards and advertisements posted on the walls. Nothing new. He does this almost every day when he's bored out of his mind and he can't do anything else whenever he has a passenger (or else they might just send a complaint to his boss about not being attentive and cautious, and then bam, fired). He spotted a broken tail light on one of the cars in front of him. He should be fixing that, Brian thought. Safety and all. He could see a couple of teenagers fighting on the sidewalk, though nobody had tried to stop them yet. He could also hear people complaining and yelling and honking their horns about the horrible traffic while shaking their fists outside their windows. Like that would do anything.

The man in the backseat finally answered the call, it seemed. The ringing that had been grating on his nerves stopped. Even though he knew it was a bad thing to eavesdrop, he did so anyway, not finding anything else to do. He did this frequently (not that he would admit it). He would listen in on conversations and make some guesses at they are talking about, where they would be going and why, or maybe what they do for a living. It passes the time and he has gotten different and interesting kinds of people as passengers so it became a hobby. Plus, it kind of keeps his brain sharp. God knows that his brain would melt and turn to mush from being in traffic all day and doing nothing.

So he listened. Not that the man said a lot beyond "Hmm", "Yes dear", and "Don't worry", but when paired with the exhaustion and exasperation he could hear in his voice as he tried to reassure what was probably his wife on the phone, Brian could tell that he's got the wife problems, as he calls it. He's had many passengers with the same problem. He ended up having to comfort a few of them as they sulked, moaned, and even sobbed in misery. And he could somehow relate to it. He did just go through a breakup. His girlfriend had sent him a text a couple weeks ago. Written on it was a simple "I'm sorry" and he never heard from her again. He tried calling and texting her a few times, but she never responded to any of them so he assumed that meant that they were over, which he still wasn't over with, to be honest. They lasted for more than a year, and it was sad for a relationship that long to break as easily as that.

As the man ended the call, silence settled inside the car until the man broke it, asking him a question. Brian was startled by the sudden question at him as he didn't peg the man as the talkative type. He turned his head to the back to look at the man. "Traffic here is slowly getting worse. It's crazy. And maybe your wife's just worried about you and wants to spend some quality time with you, but I really wouldn't know," he told him. He gave him a somber smile. "And funny that you asked that. I did just go through a break-up a few weeks ago. Been together for more than a year, then only left me with a text saying that she's sorry and I never heard from her again." He actually sighed now, the conversation making him recall the fun times they had. He missed her greatly. He thought they had clicked well with each other and they never had a problem that wasn't resolved after a while. He just didn't know where he had gone wrong.

"But let's not talk about that." He gave a smile. Then in his peripheral vision, he saw the cars start to move. "Sorry. Wait-" He turned back front. Turns out that it only moved by a few inches. "Man," he muttered. He wanted to bang his head on something. He'd probably do it if there wasn't anybody to see him doing so. "How about you, sir?" He turned his head back to the backseats.
@Acid Hippie I'll be able to post my CS by next week. I'm thinking of making a human since there's going to be two warpers now.

@aviendha That sounds really really painful. I can't help but imagine it in my head and now I'm feeling very sorry for all the pain my character will go through. If I have that power, I would swear to never use it ever in my whole life.
