Heh, yeah. I'm working on it, don't worry.
I'm wondering if anyone else sees or hears Equilibrium fighting with War-Pulse. Tell me, who else is in Little Sicily, I'm curious.

Oh, and I'm leaving this sheet for Victor here. I know, it might be a bit early for me to do that, but I'm not inserting VKTR into the story until a bit later, once Equilibrium gets a higher profile.

Equilibrium said nothing as the mercenary knocked aside his bullets with some sort of... force blast, after holding up some sort of invisible force barrier, that blocked the projectiles. The attack was so telegraphed, that Equilibrium didn't even have to jump into the air to dodge it. Then, the merc started hopping around, confounding any attempts to lock on. Analyzing the situation, Equilibrium took in every detail from every sensor and camera. It appeared that even if the Meta absorbed and controlled all forms of energy, he used kinetic energy for mobility and strength. If he was allowed to get closer, he would wreck him up. Equilibrium was tough, and able to fight in close combat, but someone with such powers could outclass him. Not easily, but he knew his limitations. Jumping into the air, he fired off his jump jets, intending to get some distance on the merc.

Questioning the toughness of his body, the mercenary closed the distance insanely fast, launching three of those kinetic blasts at him, aimed at his face and body armor plating. However, the 'Merlin' shield sloughed them off like water, causing the full force of the blows to fly into the Water Distribution Valve of the municipal building below. Eh. Lost Haven was used to repairing this sort of damage. While the mercenary's attacks didn't manage to force him to the ground, gravity did. The jump jets let Equilibrium crash into the ground, causing the concrete to crack, without causing any damage to the mech. The 'Merlin' shield was at 85% already, though, and they had barely started fighting. Problematic. Again, this... War-Pulse, got within Equilibrium's machine-gun range, and held a hand up to his chest, arm up to the elbow distorted by energy. Equilibrium raised his eyebrows, inside the cockpit. This couldn't be good.

As War-Pulse let loose, several auxiliary cameras burnt out from sensory overload, and several of his energy sensors shut down, and began to reboot almost immediately afterwards. Equilibrium's frame rattled, shaking the pilot inside. However, as with the earlier attacks, this one was deflected. Red lights flashed across Equilibrium's vision as almost every alarm in his suit went off, all at once. A percentage bar appeared, representing the shield's power remaining. 60%, 45%, 26%... This was not good. By the time that the energy blast was done, there was little more than 2% remaining, and the shield took forever to charge, making it almost impossible to recharge it during combat.

The blast leveled almost everything nearby, and dug a trench into the street behind him, fanning away from the mech. A thick cloud of smoke and dust covered the area, hiding Equilibrium from view. As his sensors finally rebooted, he got a good view of War-Pulse, even through the dust. Smiling, even though his shields were nearly depleted, Equilibrium knew that if he could hold out against a Meta like the mercenary, he had a good chance against others.

"The big leagues, huh? I must say, I expected to be more impressed. You're letting me down, man." With a series of mechanical noises, the HM-18 unfolded from the armored plating on his left shoulder. "Seriously. From what I heard, I expected you guys to be comparable to friggin' GODS. Oh well. Not like I'm complaining." Aiming directly at War-Pulse's chest, the laser fired, igniting some of the dust, and burning away the smoke. The laser itself would probably not do that much damage to the energy-based Meta, but the sheer force of it would most likely knock him back. A common misconception of lasers is that they don't have physical force. Well, photons are particles, and particles have mass. The beam from the Hellbeast probably had enough power to set back even Icon a bit, if Equilibrium was honest.

Keeping the HM-18 locked on War-Pulse, he observed the mercenary, waiting for a response.
I think that I'm going to bring in Agent VKTR, and have him as a side character, or maybe a main character. I dunno yet. But I'm working on the post, and I'm thinking that we both get away, but accidentally destroy the water treatment plant in the process.

EDIT: Done. :)
I'll get a post up soon, I guess everyone's waiting on me.

I'm working on a post.
Erwun stood over the autopsy table, dressed in a leather smock that had several stains from suspicious sources, scalpel in hand. The corpses in question were those of the former Guardians. One of the former defenders of Dara, he seemed to be sliced open by a wild animal. The only difference was that the wounds were burned, as if run over a pit of coals. It was something that could only have come from one source. Back when Haljon abandoned hi- when he was separated from the group, he saw things, things that no one else saw. Not even Ephraim. Catching his breath, Erwun took a few seconds to focus, and then went back to his work.

The only remaining Calfrace backed away from the autopsy table, and looked over the corpses. He had sewed and cleaned up the mangled bodies, his skill evident in the fact that they were suitable for an open casket wake. Pulling on his coat, the Undertaker readied his equipment. Due to the violent death of the former Guardians, Erwun should be ready for anything. Besides, he had a few enemies on the streets, and even if they didn't try and get to him in the daytime, there were still quite a few dark alleyways. Everything fit under or in the pockets of his coat, except for his crossbow. That had to hang off the holster at his hip, the only visible weapon.

Stepping out into the daylight, the cobble of the Yamiss district was swept immaculately, as always. To the left, a lonely elf wandered a remembrance garden, flowers in full bloom. To the right, the Calfrace Mausoleum stood tall, a marble and granite testament to death. However, none of this was of his concern, this morning. Avoiding conversation in the streets as much as possible, Erwun arrived early to the meeting, and waited in the corner, where the shadows concealed him, for the most part. If someone looked, they would see him, but it would prevent unwanted attention from coming to him. He listened, disinterested, until the very end, when they chose a course of action.

"I'll get in touch with my network. See what they know. I don't really care what you all do about it, as long as you do something." Sticking around to hear their plans, Erwun leaned against a wall, arms crossed.
Woah, blow up of posts. Wow. I'll get cracking.
^ Same.
Hey, I'll try and post tonight, but IDK if I can.
