Jonathan

Jon grimaced as he came to a halt on a street corner, turning his mouth into the crook of his elbow to let out a cough that sounded as miserable as he felt, while waiting patiently for the cross sign to turn green. The lights blurred as his eyes watered, once again mentally restraining himself from sneezing like a madman for the umpteenth time today, oh what a joy it was to be him.

Four weeks had passed now and Jon was still sick, his GP was baffled by the rapid appearances of symptoms and the constant bruising and grazes he seemed to gain overnight without knowledge. It was like he was cursed or something.

Today had left him more worn out than usual, slumped over his handlebars he almost missed the lights while watching the shadows play on the pavement. He groaned softly to himself as he got the bike in motion, frowning as he thought back on today. His boss Rebecca had been getting on his case lately, like it was his fault he was sick all the time and how he should be more like Jerry who had the good grace to recover fast from his cold while working in the shop and once again he had been assigned to stacking boxes in the back, followed by sitting on his ass whilst he watched the minutes tick by. God Rebecca can be such a bitc... He sat up suddenly at the sound of gunfire, from just around the corner, ripped from his thoughts by the startling sound.

"Jesus.." He muttered, squeezing the brakes to bring his bike to a stop, the sound of a commotion emanating just out of his sight. Fear held him still for some time as he strained to hear what was going on, sweat trickled down his spine as he sat poised on his bike, ready to move at the first signs of danger.

Shockingly enough to Jon he found himself dismount his bike, gently resting it against the sidewalk as he moved along at a crouch toward the scene, curiosity finally getting the better of him. Nervously he peeked around the corner, a small crowd of people was all he saw, yet it looked like they were about to face off against each other. His heart raced in his chest as he slowly looked out from his cover again, he might just be lucky enough to witness a battle between Metas.
Name: Jonathan Lines
Alias: Jon, more of a nickname really.
Age: 22
Affiliations: N/A
Factions: N/A
Description: Jon is 6'1" with a slim, athletic build. Blond, shaggy hair, green eyes and his first proper attempt at a goatee that still looks somewhat patchy in areas, much to his dismay, also has a somewhat big nose but still considered handsome by some. Often seen in a simple combination of shirt, jacket and jeans whilst out in public. currently has no uniform for when he takes to the streets.

Powers:
Stage 1 - An uncontrolled, one way aura of affliction transferal. In this stage those within a certain range of Jon, whom remain within his company for awhile will find themselves slowly freed of any disease and pain, whilst Jon will slowly start to show symptoms of that which was ailing them moments ago.

Stage 2 - U.A.A.T. (Uncontrolled Aura of Affliction Transferal), ability to cure disease and increased healing factor, about twice as fast as a normal humans, is still debilitated by diseases and wounds whilst afflicted.

Stage 3 - Controlled Aura of Affliction transferal, able to remove the ailments of others, healing himself of them unless he chooses to palm them off to another via skin contact. Able to cure disease, same increased healing factor as before, slight increase in physical performance whilst healthy, still debilitated by diseases and wounds whilst carrying them.

Stage 4 - C.A.A.T (I'm sure you'll figure it out) Immunity to disease, same increased healing factor as before, but will enter a catatonic state if a wound is fatal to allow his body more time to heal it, always at his pique of physical prowess whilst he's not afflicted. Ability to hold onto wounds and ailments without physically demonstrating their effects, effectively storing them for later use, via curing them himself with his immunity and healing factor, or passing them onto his enemies.

Despite his powers Jon is still susceptible to anything thing that may cause him harm, without the ability to remove it from himself without skin contact in all his stages of progression.

Skills: Great balance and dexterity (was once able to carrying ten mocha lattes through the crowded cafe he works at without spilling a drop.)
Equipment: Bicycle that he uses to get to his work a few blocks away.
Ranking: F (Currently undeveloped, but with the potential to become an A.)

(Optional) Brief History: Born originally in Australia, he lived a relatively simple life growing up, always fascinated by the events in the world around him, especially those that involved people with extraordinary abilities called Metas. Despite the stigma that hung around those with such abilities, he himself wished they he too could possess such power. When he became 19, he used the money he had saved from his job to move over to America, in particular the city of Los Angeles, once home to a team of heroes that Jon had followed as a child.

I'd love to partake in this if I may.
I hope so, if not, might redact the comment at a later date.
Connor shrugged off the attempted pat on the back, not exactly feeling like the amiable teammate, regulating his breathing to relieve the tension he felt.

"Team senses, why the fuck not.." He scoffed to himself, the stress of being thrown in here with these people, and those damned nightmares from the night before had him on edge. He found himself thinking clearer as the tension ebbed away, the others in the room were still scattered, perhaps he had a chance to group with others less likely to agitate him. Better the devil you know, than the one you don't. He gave an apologetic nod to Lester, after the remark about his behavior, heaving a sigh as he let his back fall against the wall.

"So, the walking Marvel cliche here has enhanced senses, what can you two do?" He asked, dismissively waving a hand at Chris before crossing his arms over his chest, awaiting their replies. Hoping to learn something of interest and otherwise asking to just pass the time until the guards told them to move out.
Connor felt the hand at his side ball into a fist, a tense feeling filled the atmosphere for him as he bit down hard on his tongue to resist the aggressive impulse that flooded his body, the metallic taste of blood filled his mouth as he grimaced behind his neutral facade.

"Oh, I'll break a lot more than that if you call me Connie again." He slipped, giving a short, sardonic smile while they shook hands.

The fact that Chris already knew his name mean't he would of heard it from the other side of the room when he told Lucille, feeding him more information on the scope of his abilities, making him more cautious. Connor chuckled at the suggested group name by Lucille before shaking his head at the idea of them having a group name in the first place. The whole idea was mad, the fact there were others like him was mad, how these people could handle it so calmly was mad. Am I the only sane one here? He thought dejectedly, frowning to himself in the corner as he watched the others. I've just got to bear with it I guess.
That moment you realise the team you're joining makes everyone in it almost immortal and well equipped to handle Asylum staff.
