This means you either will, be and probably have been competing somewhat prior to the start of this adventure. You can figure out amongst eachother how and what, its up to him if you might have to rewrite some ^^

Backstory up until flying on the [insert ship name here]:

Krus was born to a rich family in service of the Trade Federation, on the planet Cato Neimoidia. He lived through the normal childhood of a Neimoidian, learning to appreciate greed and manipulation at a young age. He was always highly interested in economics and politics, and could've easily gotten a career as an accountant like his father. However, his life changed drastically when a group of pirates attacked the shuttle carrying a 16 years old Krus and his father, hoping to acquire loot. The Neimoidians were taken hostage and found themselves in a dark cell on the pirate freighter. After some time of captivity, Krus managed to sneak into one of the ship's escape pods and flee - That was the last time he ever heard from his parents.
He eventually ended up on the planet Tatooine, and begun doing the one thing he was good at, gathering wealth. Krus spent years trading weapons, spices, advanced technology and whatever he got his fingers on. He worked for various criminal organisations and became a somewhat known figure, making lots of friends and enemies in the process. The Neimoidian is currently working aboard the ship [insert name here].
Propositions for shared backstory: Krus has lots of money and contacts throughout the galaxy, and he can usually talk himself out of any situation. Now, I'm not sure how this will help aboard the ship, but I'm sure we'll come up with something..

Yoouo Vassin

Name: Yoouo Vassin (yoo-oh vah-sin)

Race: Ootoolan

Gender: Male

Age: 29 Standard Years

Force Sensitive: No

Appearance: Standing at 6'3", broadly built, and covered in a fair share of scars, Yoouo's first impressions vary between intimidating and outright scary. He is a deep royal blue in color, with mottled black spots across the top of his head and across his shoulders. His scars mostly run across his arms and torso, his large size being unwieldy for the technician work he takes in. His facial fins run farther down off his chin than most, giving them a beardlike appearance.

Personality: Yoouo is a man of few words, gruff and to-the-point. The need for socializing is essentially non-existent, having only lived to work until just recently. This is not to say he is unable to hold up in social situation, he just feels more comfortable outside of them. He is mostly driven by his need to escape persecution for his crime, but his love for his craft also keeps him motivated aboard the ship. This also leads him to have a rather impatient streak to him. If something he finds unnecessary directly impedes any sort of forward progress for him, he'll seek the quickest way to move past it, even if that quickest way is violence or intimidation.

Physical Strengths:

• Intense strength, can deadlift upwards of 400 lbs. with decent effort.
• Endurance, can withstand massive punishment while staying conscious and calm.
• Temperature tolerance is above average, having worked in welding so much despite his aquatic nature have given him a noticeable buffer against dry, heated conditions.

Physical Weaknesses:

• Unwieldy size makes him both very noticeable and very clumsy on his feet. While his hands can perform precision work with ease, his dexterity on his feet is the polar opposite of graceful.
• Generally slow, in almost every physical regard. Caution and patience both come with the job, so by proxy, Yoouo takes this aspect on in his way of moving as well. Even at his fastest, he can easily fall behind.
• Very low stamina in terms of cardio. Mostly any taxing physical activity asides from lifting and other entirely strength-based actions can easily cause him to lose his breath and slow down.

Mental Strengths:

• Stubborn as they come, once Yoouo decides on something, it takes either the input of someone he trusts or otherwise VERY heavy convincing to make him consider other options. While this is helpful at times, it is just as often hindering.
• Nothing to laugh at when it comes to machines and practical physics, his lifetime career and dedication to this chosen craft has been critical to his usefulness.
• Simple as they come, in the good way. He does not much care for the details of something and does not let these small things get in the way of what he determines to be the bigger picture. He does not dwell on something, and by extension, he is not one to let the potential negative consequences of his actions slow him down.

Mental Weaknesses:

• Stubborn. If Yoouo sets his mind to a task that could be hindering or even harmful, it can be a challenge to get him to change his course.
• Absolutely no education in anything besides his technical forte. While he's been gifted with your average helping of common sense, his intelligence leaves much to be desired.
• A bit gullible. While not overly so, it doesn't take a master con artist to pull the wool over his eyes. As long as he isn't previously informed on the matter, and the person conveying the information has established themselves as seemingly trustworthy, he will take the info as truth, and due to the stubbornness, it may be a challenge to alleviate the issue.

Backstory: A 5th generation Ootoolan slave, owned by a prominent Gungan political figure on Naboo (from whom he takes his surname) under the guise of being a housed servant, Yoouo took an early interest in the mechanical aspects of ships as a child, and was taken on as an apprentice by a local shipwright. Throughout his years growing up, he saw his family, composed of his mother and many siblings, mistreated by their owner, but was told to put it behind him and look ahead to make the most of his relatively unburdened position as the chief mechanic of the politician. He had become incredibly skilled in his time, and by the time he was 25, he was an envied asset. However, he by chance discovered that behind closed doors, their owner abused his mother as some form of sick entertainment, something she had never told him knowing he would be better off without the information. Having discovered it, he assaulted the Gungan, beating him within inches of his life, before taking his family and fleeing, bringing them to a planet outside of the Empire's sphere of influence. He left to begin work as an outlaw mechanic, sending whatever funds he can back to his family to keep them afloat.

It's been four years since the Battle of Yavin, and despite the rebellion's efforts, the Galactic Empire is still controlling the galaxy with an iron fist. The second Death Star is being built, with emperor Palpatine himself overseeing the construction. Meanwhile, a small group of rebels is working to rescue the smuggler Han Solo from a particular crime lord...

But that's a story we already know. This one is about a completely different smugglers, and completely different crime lords, and it begins with begins with a group of humanoids looking for easy credits in a bar, somewhere on the aquatic planet of Mon Cala.

The Ship

Like any respectable smugglers, our heroes have their own trusty vehicle - A customized Ghtroc 720 freighter called the Claw Fish. The ship is 35 meters long and can carry a maximum of 135 metric tons of cargo in each of its main cargo holds. It's equipped with a double laser-cannon, two escape pods and a shield generator. The exterior looks fairly boring and unmodified, just like any dark gray cargo ship.

Rules

• Only amphibian races allowed - No droids, humans or master Yoda! Nautolans, Quarrens, Gungans and Aqualish are good examples of allowed races.

That's all you need to know for now, and I hope it's enough to get you interested. I actually decided against having a character, so I can focus on GM'ing and controlling the NPCs.

Right. I've never GM'd (or even been in) an RP on this site before, so I might be used to doing some things differently than older members. But that's alright. Isn't it? IS IT?

First of all, I know this isn't the first Star Wars RP on the site, since the franchise is pretty popular (Especially with Episode 7 out a few months ago. Which was a great movie, by the way.) But I can guarantee you it'll be unique. Hopefully. The basic idea was to have a crew of smugglers, bounty hunters and other scum and villainy go on some adventures, involving Neimoidian crime lords, a mysterious crate of cargo and overzealous Imperial officers. Also, just to make things more interesting, I want all of the PCs to be *Drumroll* of amphibian races! That includes Mon Calamari, Quarrens, Nautolans, Aqualish, Ishi Tib... (Hell, even Gungans are allowed!)

I'm looking for 5-8 people, and I'd like to see at least someone interested before starting the main thread, so I don't have to awkwardly sit around with an empty roleplay. So, you know what to do. The fish-crew is waiting for you.
