Hugo once more appeared in a puff of pink and green smoke, much closer to the ground, and landed on his feet. His distance manipulation magicks seemed to be growing more reliable with each poof. A quick examination of the scene before him suggested that the shadow-creature was almost restrained, but was trying to lash out in self defense.

"Hey, hey! You guys miss me? Looks a bit dangerous. Don't get yourselves hurt too much."

Hugo stood off to the side and puffed a series of shimmering smoke rings outwards, which lingered far longer than they normally should. While the smoke wasn't necessary, it helped him concentrate on his magicks and incantations, and gave a flashy appearance to what would otherwise be rather boring-looking. He began to speak rhythmically once more, hoping that he wouldn't be interrupted.

"In the face of great danger, we stand firm together,
With not an ounce of fear to be found."

The smoke rings slowly gathered form and moved towards the shadow-creature.

"I think I heard a car earlier, so... Somewhere towards the road, wherever it is. Pretty sure we're off school grounds at the moment, so going a bit further probably won't hurt. At least, not much."

Hugo starts walking towards the source of the earlier noise. This is going to be a long night.
