Once it was all over, Chuck met with his friends outside. "Wow, that was amazing! You booth looked really cool out there!" he said.
Chuck cheered them both on and clapped for them when it was all over.
This was the first time Chuck had ever seen contest battles, and was mesmerized by it. In regular battles, you just had to worry about damaging your opponent and avoiding taking damage. However, it seemed these contest battles were more about being flashy and showing off, rather than dealing damage, though that seems to work too. As for defending, you could stop their attack and cost them points, or avoid it. Just thinking about the possibilities of what could be done blew him away. This was like a whole new world to him, who had only ever watched Gym Battles and the League Tournaments on TV, never bothering to watch the televised contests.
You also have to remember, Ultra Sun and Moon are set in an Alternate Universe, so anything can happen. Also, on Serebii, where I found the second video, they say some Pokémon are getting new Z-moves.

"Nice one Shiranui!" Chuck said, cheering on his friend.
"Nice to meet you!" Chuck said, taking her hand and shaking it. "I am Charles North Jr., but everyone just calls me Chuck! And yeah, my parents run the Daycare in Kalos, until recently I was helping them run it too. I had to cut my original journey short because Team Flare attacked and my father got injured, so I had to rush home and help out. Then after he got better, I just decided to stay. And now, four years later, I decided I wanted to resume my journey from where I left off. And after things are settled with the Contest here, I'm heading to Viridian City for my final badge."
