I'm fine with it, seeing as I have two shinies myself (Muk and Charjabug). Also, I only have 5 because I haven't picked my sixth up yet, but I will quite soon, right before the trial, in fact.
We are currently at the Battle Royale Dome on our way to Wela Volcano Park and our 4th trial.
I tried an actual Pokémon D&D Style RP once, my sis tried to run it from an anime based tabletop game called Big Eyes Small Mouth for the characters, and actual Pokémon game stats and calculations for the Pokémon. However, it was the latter that proved problematic. You don't really realize how much work goes into calculating each and every thing about Pokémon until you actually try to calculate the stuff yourself for an RP. Not even our usual GM could get it to work.
"It was interesting, you didn't know when someone was going to suddenly gang up on you, and had to keep a lookout for all your opponents, while also teaming up on someone else." Chuck said.
