Shikaru came into it after everyone was on their second round of posts, so... I dunno. Plus she isn't really involved with what's going on with the kid right now, right? Technically her turn should be after nrtashi since the GM posted, then Lord Santa posted, then BytheSpleen, then me, and then nrtashi. Unless Shikaru has to wait for the GM to post twice before they can go... *shrug*

Abel observed the young boy with almost as much curiosity as the boy seemed to observe Steven. The boy seemed oddly apprehensive. He wondered if they knew each other. Having heard that Steven grew up as a farm boy, however, he deemed it very unlikely. Perhaps he was just intimidated by Steven's freakish height, Abel thought jealously.

"His mother needs a flower of some sort," Lyra told Steven quietly, "...don't step on any if you see them; it might be used to cure an ailment."

Abel found himself rolling his boots to the side and passing a quick glance behind him to ensure he hadn't offended any flowers or, more importantly, Lyra. That was when he noticed Illumina casually approaching. She seemed somewhat disinterested. Not that he could blame her. If this child's mother was sick and needed some medicinal sort of flower, it seemed rather unlikely he was going to find it here. Even so, he welcomed the opportunity to socialize with this band of strangers he had thus far been traveling with... even if it meant squatting in the dirt to look for flowers.

He dropped to a crouched position beside Lyra and held one side of his hat down so as to better block the sun. He squinted at the surrounding area-- seeing, of course, no flowers in sight. "You wouldn't happen to know what type of flower it is, would you?" Abel asked, feigning interest.

I don't mind it as much when it's added to the beginning or end. It's just throwing me off when our characters are referred to by their player's usernames. I understand our characters may be in different locations throughout the RP but I do still feel that everyone should be reading all IC posts regardless of whether or not it directly involves their character. I just figured it was RP etiquette.

Shikaru, we haven't kicked anyone out. You're still in.

I can't help but feel like tagging people in the IC is a little distracting. Everyone should be reading all of those posts whether they're addressed to their character or not, right?

I don't think simply adding new people will really fix the problem. We shouldn't have to send them a notification to get them to post. I'm not saying this to be rude-- especially because I really like their characters-- but if they aren't planning on posting, it would be nice to know so we can move the story along and look for players to replace them if necessary....
