Yes. We'd thought that the installer wasn't compatible with Linux, so we had to go through figuring how to disable the X Interface, and then figuring out how to disable Nouveau, which we couldn't figure out. So we decided to install another driver that was compatible with Nvidia that would hopefully replace the Nouveau, but we found out that it wasn't a Kernel driver so it didn't replace Nouveau and nothing really changed. Finally, we decided to try the Command Terminal installer, which ended up being exactly what we needed in the first place. *facepalm*

Mkay. Did you fix the drive drive?

Finally, yes. Turns out we just needed to use the install program rather than using the open-source complicated thing.
Anywhay I'm going to start writing again after I do a bit more maths.

This is how it works.Mac- Go Kart.Windows- Professional RacecarLinux- Homemade racecar. If you do it right, it wins the race, but if you do it wrong, it falls apart at your feet. There's also the problem that virtually all programs are for windows.

The problem for us is that we can't disable the bloody Nouveau driver, which Nvidia is incompatible with. On all versions except the one we're working with, the steps we're taking should work, but apparently not. In fact, there are no instructions at all that work for the current version. Blacklisting in the Grub Startup CMD doesn't work. Making a pre-install file that blacklists Nouveau doesn't work. Aliasing Nouveau as off doesn't work. Nothing works.

Linux? Reeeeaaaaally? Just go to Windows.

Linux is good. But we gave up trying to disable a driver and instead we are replacing the bad driver with a different driver that's not incompatible with the driver we're trying to install. Then we'll install the new driver because the bad driver will be disabled. Bam. Inefficiency.

Every possible thing that could go wrong is going wrong.
