History: Charlie grew up in a “typical” single parent home, forced to watch her two younger brothers while her mom worked three jobs to support them. Charlie never asked about her father, not once, assuming that he wasn't interested in her since he wasn't in the picture. When she turned sixteen, she took up a part time job at one of the local book stores in town, which only deepened her love for reading. She usually never had time to read at home due to the noise at home with her brothers, so she tried to work as much as possible, knowing that she would have ample time to read during the slow time when customers weren't around. Upon graduating from high school she moved out, fueled by the promotion that she was offered at work. Weeks later, she had become the store manager and her boss had opened a new location in a neighboring city. A month later, Charlie moved out and got her own apartment, assured by her mother that she and the boys, who were now working, would take care of the household.
