Dun dun duuuuuun!
Lydia nodded in reply, giving Beetlejuice one last glance before heading upstairs. Thankfully it wasn't too far away where he'd disappear and frighten Charles more. She scrubbed the demon blood off herself before finding a pair of sweatpants that were a little too big and a shirt she was basically swimming in. At least they were clean.

She arrived downstairs, holding her stained clothes as she headed to the master bathroom to check on them when something caught her eye. It was a picture of a woman with kind, smiling eyes and wild curly brown hair framing her face. A moonstone necklace lay over the picture frame, the same one the woman had. She picked both of them up carefully, a little stunned before looking over at Charles.

"Why...why do you have a picture of my mother and her necklace?"
"He." Lydia corrected.

"His name is Beetlejuice, he's a demon and my family. He appeared a little after my parents died and hasn't left my side since then. He's kept me safe even after the government took us away, having us do their dirty work or spying on other countries. Even killing people. Everything changed when we finally escaped and came to Hawkins. Our lives were finally normal."
Lydia looked back at Beetlejuice as he spoke, sighing softly before giving him a little nod. Her gaze turned back to Charles as he moved closer, tensing up for a fight before realizing he was actually helping them. She stared at him before slowly nodding in reply. "No hospital. You tell no one about this, understood?" She said before heading with him to his truck.
And now it's just really pissed off. Beetlejuice just went through his personal hell and needs a long nap to heal along with his dead therapist to talk to.
"Beej!" Lydia exclaimed, wiggling her hand away from Charles and heading back to the now undead corpse to help him up. "I knew you weren't dead." She smiled before seeing the gun raised towards Beetlejuice. Her heart sank a little at the sight. He was still weak and would probably take a while to heal if he got shot.

"Don't!" She yelled, standing between the two men as her eyes seemed to glow as well. "Don't you fucking hurt him. He just barely won against his own bitch of a mother, closed a portal to the Netherworld that would have let demons run amok in the living world if he didn't, and I will not hesitate to kick your ass if you so much as think about shooting him!"
Lydia's current stage of grief: Denial mixed with depression
"No! He's not gone! He's not dead! He promised he wouldn't leave me! He promised!" Lydia screamed as angry, hot tears fell. He was wrong; Beetlejuice couldn't be dead since he was never alive to begin with. He couldn't double die, could he?

"Wake up, Beej, please just wake up!" She begged, clinging to his limp form. "Please...don't leave me alone..."
"No, he comes with me. I'm not leaving him, not after what we just went through. He's kept me safe for years, now it's my turn to protect him." Lydia said, looking at him with a fierce expression. She knew she probably looked insane; feet and hands covered with demon blood with more of it staining her clothes from trying to carry him.

Lydia froze upon light shining on her, probably making it look like she was attempting to get rid of a dead body. Hearing the voice, she realized who it was that spotted her. "Shit." She muttered before looking over at him. How on earth was she going to explain this to him?

"Help me!" She finally said, unsure if he would. "My friend's wounded and needs a safe haven."
