Name: Liu Qing (流青)
Alias: Chaotic Blue
Age: 25
Powers: blue-colored chi that she gathers in her hands to strike critical areas; able to turn invisible; various gadgets and tools; lifelong training as a ninja has given her agility and flexibility
Weaknesses: very poor defense; only specializes in close-range combat so she has no long-range moves; Chaotic Blue isn’t suited to heavy combat, preferring to stay in the shadows and cause trouble through subterfuge and espionage
Personality: taciturn; mysterious; able to keep secrets; quiet and doesn’t engage in arguments nor does she ask many questions
Appearance: Chinese woman with very short black hair who likes to wear blue clothes in civilian life. As Chaotic Blue, she wears a mask that covers her mouth and a bodysuit colored ultramarine blue, with belts and holsters to hold her tools and weapons. Her boots and gauntlets are black and have steel patterns of a skull and spine (will draw picture of her later)
BRIEF Bio: Liu Qing was raised in a hidden village of super powered ninjas – mercenaries who worked in the shadows and performed missions for the highest bidders. Through years of extensive training and successful missions, Qing’s emotions were shunted as she witnessed the darkest sides of humanity through her work. Thus, she has no interest in mingling with society unless it pertains to work, and is incapable of seeing the good in others. Her jobs can range from espionage, assassination, information theft, infiltration and sabotage.
The grandmaster saw it fit to send Qing to Engine City and told her to assume an identity. She created the name Chaotic Blue – a blue shadow that exists to cause discord. She infiltrated the city the previous year and has remained here as a Chinese immigrant working at a CEO’s office as a secretary. Even in her day job, Qing remains stoic and professional.
Notes: Originally was my City of Villains character. Her alias is a reference to one of the four demon lords from the Slayers series.
Hez stood in front of the corrupted artifact, gripped her carnation rod in both of her hands and raised her arms. Just then, a magic symbol drew itself beneath her feet. It was an interlocking heptagram with a white carnation in the center with circles surrounding the star with nonsensical runes repeatedly spelling out the word ‘anjelier’. Seven planetary symbols were etched, one in each point, in the order of the days of the week – the Sun for Sunday, the Moon for Monday, Mars for Tuesday, and so on. It was a symbol of much-needed balance and harmony in this chaotic world.

Just then, the sound of a million buzzing bees rushed through Hez’s head. She struggled to cope with the miasma as she purified the artifact. She squeezed her eyes shut as memories that weren’t her own flowed into her mind. The images jumped everywhere, but she knew these horrible sensations didn’t belong to her. The sights she witnessed were terrifying.

One set of images belonged to a woman who always stared at herself in the mirror. The woman herself was dangerously underweight, but the figure in the mirror was equally obese. Another group of dreams belonged to a welterweight champion who was fervently exercising on his bike, riding across a road that had no end in sight, determined to reach a number at the end that never got any closer. The third set of visions came from a young girl who was attracted to fashion magazines and aspired to become a model, surrounded by make-up, jewelry, dresses, swimsuits and stacks upon stacks of well-read magazines.

With these visions, Hez was able to identify the source of the negative energy; none of these people wanted to eat because they wanted to lose weight for one reason or another. In other words, all of them were anorexics. That explained the rotting food in this absurd dungeon – since no one wanted to eat, the food was left to go bad. However, what surprised her was that the artifact – now identified as a digital weight scale – originally belonged to the first woman, but because all three of them shared the same disorder, the other two dreamers were attracted to the artifact and meshed their thoughts with the woman’s, thus creating this freak chimera dungeon. If the team hadn’t come, their combined anorexia would have gotten much worse upon waking up.

Hez didn’t want that to happen. She prayed harder, wanting to convey to these people that she didn’t want them to suffer anymore. She raised her flower rod over the scale and let a few silvery petals flutter over it, transferring her purifying magic onto the artifact. The petals immediately dissipated the miasma like liquid soap dripping onto grease. Gradually, the two forces canceled each other out. The monsters lost their energy and melted back into heaps of rotting food. All that was left was the source of this madness; the scale.

Hez opened her eyes. Her rod transformed back into her mantle and fit itself back around her shoulders. The girl looked empty and exhausted. She lost consciousness and collapsed backwards.
"Hey kid....I'll repay you for this hard one day....just you wait."

A chill ran through her body as the smoke dissipated and the surprisingly adept 'thief' vanished like he was nothing more than a bad dream. But to Krile, that threat was real. Had she invoked the wrath of someone she possibly couldn't handle later on? Was she going to be pursued in the shadows? How was Krita going to be affected by this? Should she tell her sister about the ominous message that only she heard in the cacophony?

Krile couldn't let panic get the better of her. Although deeply worried, she appeared unperturbed by the flashy escape, especially now that the Imperial Knights were searching for him. Even so, she didn't hold much hope of them finding this guy and ending her concerns. All she could do was turn to one of the Stanson Bridage's knights as he asked her, "Are you all right, ma'am?"

"I'm uninjured. He surrendered the core to me, so please return it to Meijin's," she reported.

"Thank you very much. The captain would like to get your testimony, if you don't mind," the knight said.

"Understood."

He took the crystal and saluted her before getting his superior's attention and directing him to Krile. She spent a few minutes off to the side with Captain Stanson recounting what she saw in the trading house. However, she didn't mention anything about the criminal's threat towards her - she had little to no faith in the Imperial Knights, especially with the injuries that four well-armored men sustained from one single attacker.
I didn't know what your plans were. If you could let me in on them, then I'd be able to write accordingly. If you aren't able to incorporate that thief, I can always use him for my bad guy.
My post will be coming up tonight. After that, the dungeon is over and the characters will head back to Remniche.
Chaotic Blue - Accepted. It's like you put the better qualities of Black Widow and Talia Al Ghul into one character and added the couple powers/abilities.

Like I said, I'm just bringing my City of Villains character here, and then adding character elements from stealth games like Solid Snake's cleverness and 47's detached professionalism. She's not really based off of a comic book character, although I'm more familiar with Marvel than DC.
If you guys have any more battle sequences you want to add, do it now. Hez will purify the artifact in my next post and cause the monsters to vanish.
Lin recovered from the attack that the vegetable golem did to her and floated back to Hez's side.

"Are you all right?" her voice echoed from the sword. Hez got back up and dusted herself, still stunned from watching Erebus slay the monster before vanishing. She only acknowledged the question with a nod, not wanting to cause more confusion by telling Lin about the mystery Oneiros.

"Good. This way looks clear now. The third floor doesn't look to be as active, so you hurry on up. The rest of us will stave the monsters off here. Be quick about purifying that artifact!" Lin ordered as she flew back into the battle and diced up a can of stale soda rolling towards them like a giant barrel. Hez gathered her wits and dashed towards the next flight of stairs leading up to the third level.

Just as Lin said, there wasn't much going on here. Unlike the other floors, there was no food in sight. It felt more like an actual room than a large fridge shelf. From her night vision, Hez could see faint hints of curtains, mirrors, a sink and some kind of chair... or was it a toilet? Was she inside a bathroom all of a sudden? But she couldn't worry about that now. In the middle of this dark room was an object on the floor emanating a tremendous amount of negative energy, the air thick with a terrible miasma that felt like a constant inferiority complex of some kind. The darkness radiated in several different colors like a kaleidoscope - perhaps to represent the three dreamers connecting this world together - but then those colors shifted into darkness and seeped down to the lower floors. This was the cause of the monsters the team was fighting right now.

Hez couldn't tell what the object was, but it was definitely the source of this negative emotion. She felt the pressure of three different people suffering from whatever mental ailment they shared, wondering if she could possibly cleanse such a powerful artifact. She had to steel her nerves and get ready - her comrades, and three people in the real world, were counting on her to end this.
"Y-Yes!" Krita called out, still frazzled from her sister running off. She approached the counter and said, "I'm here to see Mr. Fardo about selling some materials from Quoi."

"More nia fruit, I would imagine?" the receptionist wondered.

"Well, not really. I know how popular they are to sell for traps, so I figured there would be a lot of nia fruit sold here already. Let's see here..."

Krita shuffled through her satchels, mostly turning up some native plants, wood, insects, and fur from various animals. Then the Eggbear claw dropped out from the last bag, and the man's eyes lit up.

"Oooh, that's really something! Not too many people actively go hunting for Eggbears, and even fewer are able to come back with anything from them! Mr. Fardo will definitely be impressed, young lady!"

"I don't know about that... It was my sister who managed to get it, not me."

"Where is she? Mr. Fardo would be interested in meeting her... Oh, forget Fardo! Mr. Meijin would be honored to meet someone who can slay an Eggbear!"

"She ran off a few minutes ago. By the way, is there some kind of commotion going on?" Krita wondered, noticing the shuffle of guards inside the building. She glanced back at the air cooling blastia and discovered its core missing. "W-What the!? The core was there just a second ago! How did it just up and vanish like that!?"

"Someone must have stolen it while no one was looking," the receptionist admitted. "Rest assured, we have everything under control."

"If you say so..." Krita trailed while thinking, That must be why Sis ran off on me - she's probably chasing the thief down. I hope she'll be okay.

****

Krile dashed out of the trading house and looked around for the fake repairman. She found him walking at a fast pace towards an alley between the upper and middle quarters and took chase.

"Halt!" she called out, alarming the man. "Return that core immediately."

"Core...? What core? I don't know what you're talking about," the thief lied.

"Spare me your juvenile deceptions. I watched you take it from Meijin's while I was in line."

"D-Damn..." he cursed as Krile reached down for her sword. All of a sudden, he retrieved the crystal from his box and threw it at Krile! She caught it just as the man dashed out into the open and called out, "Guards! Guards! I found a blastia thief right here!"

Krile scowled a little at his devilry, and his shouts were attracting a small crowd of people.
