Jack turned to see a dwarf. The dwarf announces himself as Thorgrim and stick out his hand. Jack returned a firm handshake and smirked. "Bloody Maverous? Is that what you all call me? No matter. I heard Tharpus was going through some 'technological' difficulties. Something about their cannons." Just then, several representatives from the other kingdoms entered. Paladins and elves filled the room along with several humans. Jack looked at the banners they carried. "So all we are doing is waiting on-" his speech was cut off from a scratchy and horrid voice. "Well isn't this a nice reunion." Jack turned to see a strange and cloaked figure the figure was alone and sat down. "I'm from what you call the forbidden kingdom." His voice left a cold chill in the air. A distrusting feeling filled Jack. Jack did not lift his sword but as a veteran, he knew when something was up and he didn't like the feeling. Nonetheless Jack continued. "Welcome to the annual kingdom conference. I'm glad all of you could make it. The forbidden kingdom has joined is today. Although we don't really have familiarity with them, they are still here. We have to listen whether we want to or not."
A lot of people who showed Interest in the interest check didn't show in the ooc. I'm sorry for that.
It didn't take very long for Jack and his two companions to reach the meeting ground. He walked into a small stone building. In the building was a round table and chairs spread out as for those to sit while discussing. Jack didn't see anyone else. He assumed he was early, but something still felt off. The representatives for the forbidden kingdom weren't here yet and that is what worried him. He didn't trust a kingdom that used dark magic. That is how it got its name in the first place. It didn't matter now. Jack had this meeting to look to and he wasn't sure how things were going to go this time.
@smarty- should I pm you the reputation of the Shadow Complex? Just so you say information that would make sense. I'm sure you would but just to make sure.
Jack ignored her question about his wife. "The shield drops. I'd recommend you stop fighting at this point. You and your friends are wanted alive. If you die, that 45 million goes down the drain. I have no intention of killing you. I'll cut off a leg if I have to." Jack unsheathed his sword. "This sword can cut through solid concrete like a knife through butter. Don't make me use it against a limb of yours." Jack grabbed Serenity and lifted her up. "I wouldn't move much either. You are losing blood. You might pass out from blood loss in a few minutes and then die minutes after that. You want to live and I need you alive. It would be wise of you to stop putting up a struggle. I'm the only one with the equipment to stop the blood." Jack said as he continued to walk through the sewer. He got to a certain point and stopped. He grabbed hold of a ladder and climbed up. When he got to the surface with Serenity, they seemed to be near an abandoned warehouse. Jack walked inside and there was equipment lying around. Jack set serenity on a table. He followed by grabbed what looked like syringes and server all others things. He injected a chemical into her body that would cause the blood to clot, in some cases that might be bad, but in her case, the bleeding needed to stop. Jack grabbed some bandages and carefully wrapped them around her cuts. "That should keep you good to go for a little while." Jack went to walk away but stopped. He turned around to look at Serenity. "I wouldn't try to leave if I were you." He pointed to the ceiling revealing breach charges set that would make the building collapse on them. He then pointed to the exits to reveal shock explosives in place. "Not sure how your shield is gonna hold against that in your current condition. That drug is gonna last another hour." He walked up to Serenity and drew some blood from her. "You got cuts while you were in the sewer. I have to make sure you weren't infected by anything that would kill you." Jack moved to a chair and contacted the complex. "I have one. I'm ready for evac." He paused as he listened to the other. Jacks tone slightly changed. "You are going to be late. Fine, I'll wait 3 hours." Jack cut off the comms and leaned back. He took off his helmet revealing a smooth and rather young face despite his age. He had 3 claw marks the covered the right side of his face. His hair was blonde, naturally spiky but messy from the helmet and running he had to do. He looked at Serenity revealing sharp blue eyes. "Do you feel sick or anything? I need to know if you have any symptoms." Without the helmet, his voice sounded different. It was rather calm and was more like the sound of a caregiver.
Jack smirked as Serenity griped in pain. He holstered his pistol and unsheathed his sword as he slowly and menacingly approach Serenity. "I got nothing against you kid. You were simply on the list...and your worth a lot of money." He held his sword tight and slashed once at the shield. "You want me to stop? You know I can't do that. Your worth money and I have a family to feed. That's the problem with all you heroes. You think that just because we do this, that we are the villains. I have a family to take care of and that's why I'm here." He would slash at the shield again if it was still there. "Don't worry about your friends. They will join you soon enough. Except one. That one is gonna be breathing through a tube by the time I'm done. They talk to much. I wouldn't want them to ruin the surprise." Jack unholstered his pistol with concussion rounds and continued to shoot at Serenity until she was too weak to fight back.
Jack was tossed against wall. It would have left a mark if not for his suit. He watched the Serenity as she struggled. He followed her with ease as she tried to get away. "I'd say your making things difficult but I can walk faster than that." Jack said as he began to catch up. "If your so intent on running then I might as well do this." He said as he pulled out a pistol armed with concussion rounds. He began to shoot at Serenity. If the concussion rounds hit her then she was in for a world of pain. "You are about to learn what it feels like to get shot. My previous shot didn't work out too well but things happen." Jack let out a sigh as he kept shooting at Serenity. "Go ahead and scream...I mean, if you can squeeze one out. You know what's above us? Atleast 6 feet of concrete. Your friends won't here you. If I'm right we are far from where they were anyway."
Jack got the advantage with all the commotion. A majority of the titans were to far back to catch up. There was only one he needed to worry about. Sam was the only one keeping up and the kid couldn't even think straight. Jack quickly ran out of range causing the whip to miss. Jack was running somewhere, a route he had planned in case he grabbed one. Jack pulled out a deplorable energy barrier and tossed it in front of Sam. The barrier activated in front of him and would have caused his cheetah to haunt fast or run into the barrier which wouldn't end well. Jack cut into an alleyway and triggered a wire which made smoke fill the narrow area. He pulled out a detonator with two switches. He pressed the first one and a sewer lid blew open. His visor set to thermal making see the small explosion with ease and thus marking an exit. He dropped into the sewer still holding Serenity and continued to run. He ran past a couple breach charges and pressed activated the second switch on his detonator. The breach charges exploded causing the walls and roof behind him to collapse making it impossible to follow unless they punched through the mass of concrete. Jack increased his running speed to get distance in the sewer. It was like a maze and so it would be hard to track him. He stopped for a second and injected a sedative into Serentiy. It wasn't enough to keep her passed out, but if she woke up, she would still feel drugged. That would make it hard for her to fight back. "That was one hell of a run." Jack said as he continued to move through the sewer. "All I got to do is get to the surface undetected and call for evac. Then that's an easy 45 million." Jack had gotten away....for now.
