For a long time, man had be able to accomplish a great deal of things. It was always up to who had the better tech and for a time, tech was what held man on top in many conflicts. However, soon there were things that men could not do, situations where men could not come on top. People for awhile wondered why. It however became clear, it was simply because they were human. This led to a great deal of controversy over what should be done until one day, a scientist stepped up and noted that through genetic enhancements, heroes with extraordinary gifts could be created. That these people would be able to accomplish much more because they weren't human. They could think faster, work harder, and dominated most aspects that man simply couldn't surpass. This came to be known as project Maverous. Out of the project, many people gained new abilities that people couldn't begin to dream of. However, when a hero rises, so does a villain. One lead scientist known as Jason mythious believed they could be used to control the new world. Because of this idea, he was kicked out. But it didnt take long for his research and ideas to spread. Soon people with evil intent began showing up with their own powers. These new found heroes finally had a chance to prove themselves. Over the years, they began to shine like a beacon to others. Knowing that no matter what evil decided to show its face, it would quickly be put down. All these heroes needed a name when their popularity grew. It was then on that they became known as Aurora. For they shined like a light greater and more magnificent than any other. They were to be a beacon of hope for the new world.

You will be people who work in Aurora. An organization that develops heroes with special powers. Of course as a member, you will be sent on plenty of missions to tackle the obstacles the new world has thrown up.

4. There is no character cap but the more you have, the less likely your next will be accepted

Aurora

Aurora is a massive facility that serves as a home for the heroes that exist out of the Maverous project. Its location is classified making it well hidden. Aurora has everything one could use to both relax and train after missions. Possessing fields, pools, training areas, gyms, etc. Being filled to the brim with security measures, breaking in to this facility is nearly impossible.

The Maverous Project

The Maverous Project was named after the lead scientists behind it, Jack Maverous. The project has created so far 5 generations of 'heroes'.
1st gen: The first people to ever be given powers, however none are ever seen throughout the facility, the scientists that do know will be trialed for treason if they so much as try to tell.
2nd gen: These 'heroes' have been in Aurora for nearly 5 years. Because of them being early in the Maverous project, their physical appearance changed with their power. Those who could manipulate fire began to have red skin, those who became stronger had muscle mass increase tremendously, etc. This caused several of them to go rogue for their life being 'ruined'.
3rd gen: These 'heroes' have been around for nearly 4 years. Their physical appearance though slightly altered, is not as drastic as the 2nd generation.
4th gen: These 'heroes' have been around between 2 to 3 years. Their physical appearance is not altered by their powers.
5th gen: Considered the 'new guys' of Aurora. A majority are very new to the facility however some have been around for about a year.

Powers/Abilities: Being human, Jack doesn't posses any powers. However, he does have a genius level intellect.
Bio: Jack Maverous was your average 'nerd' back when he was a child. He never really had any friends and was always picked on daily. Jack, during high school showed to be fascinated with human genetics and had always dreamed to take away the limits. He had always wanted what the human body could not give so that people would stop seeing him as a joke. Maverous graduated from high school at an early age and had gotten the scholarships needed to go to college. It was even in college that his knowledge had surprised and astounded that of even the professors. He spent night and day thinking about his dream and didn't let anything get in his way. At the age of 20, he graduated with a doctorates degree in genetics becoming the youngest man to ever do so. It was during this time that Jack had heard about the problems that soldiers were having and the situations that rised. It was then that Jack saw his chance. He approached with his theory that many actually laughed at. However, he was given the funding for a 'prototype' and was also given 4 'subjects'. It did not take long for Jack to make them into the first generation. However, something happened to them that no one could have predicted. The end result drove Jack into a deep depression and many had abandoned Jack and his work. Jack however, was still determined to succeed. He used the remaining money from funding and altered his theories. Two people volunteered, thus creating the second generation. Their physical appearance was altered by their power, what Jack saw as a failure, others saw as a promising result. Thus, the funding began to flow and Jack continued to create the generation. Over time, many people became disappointed by the result and Jack once again altered his theories. The third generation showed promise for their physical appearance was less altered by their powers. Despite all the doubt the people had against Jack, he never let it hinder him and soon perfected his theories. Thus the forth and fifth generation did not suffer from what the earlier generations. Jack has moved to aurora for classified reasons and now continues him research there.

I wonder how she would view Astiroth. Demons and angels don't normally get a long but Astiroth did break off his horns in a holy place as a show of trying to return to 'the light' and is a way of asking for forgiveness. Especially because in doing so heavily limits a demons power.

Jack looked around as all the chaos unfolded around him. He figured most would be concerned about Serenity giving him an advantage. He deactivated the explosives, tossed the detonator and ran knowing that would be more focused on The girl rather than him. Jack made his suit run as fast as it could make him go. His evac closing in on his signal close behind him. The invisible ship dropped a cable to jack as he leaped and grabbed hold of it allowing them to get him in as it quickly exited the city. A man walked up to Jack. "The complex has decided to go completely dark. We are sticking to our own now. Every against is being pulled back to the complex. They are still planning things ahead but for now....it's a black out." With those words Jack knew one thing for certain. No one was going to here from the complex ever again.
