In a place neither near nor far there exists a town, it is nowhere and everywhere all at once. The people of this town live just like any others, going about their days as if nothing is amiss. In the small neighborhoods children play in the streets, people walk to the corner stores. They go get groceries for their family, attend school if they wish. At first glance, this town is nothing more or less than any other small city. However, this town and its people are anything but normal. The only people who live here are beings of myth and magic. Rasika is not a place for outsiders, the beings who reside within the shielded borders of the city while not closely knit are suspicious of newcomers.
The beating heart of the city is, by most people's opinion, Tenebris. The building is a modest looking warehouse on the southern end of town. Brick walls rise up two stories from the street while the simple black shingled roof gives nothing away of the inside. The only indicator that anything is even inside is the small light bulb glowing dimly beside a thick and intricately carved wooden door. A foot or so below the bulb beside the top corner of the door frame is a brass plaque engraved with the word 'TENEBRIS' in simple block letters. Bolted to the ornate wood door, a finely carved ouroboros knocker with a set of glimmering rubies for eyes. It's only once you pass through the doors that the flash of the strobe lights and the vibrations of the bass hit you. The bottom floor of the building flashes with light that reflects and refracts off the mirrors that cover the walls and ceiling as fog rolls thickly across the floor, swirling up and around the dancing bodies. Off to the side lies a small section of tables just in front of a well-stocked bar. The upper floor is filled with rooms cordoned off by thick velvet curtains and posh suede sofas and chairs.
This roleplay will revolve around the lives of the people of Risika, the hidden town. The town is shielded by ancient magic and serves as a refuge for beings who are, according to humans, myths. It is a place of peace mostly but like any other town, there is always drama and disputes. More specifically it will focus on the citizens of Risika that are regulars at Tenebris which is a nightclub within the town limits.
Players need to post at least twice a week and at least a decent 4-5 sentence paragraph for each post. I would prefer they be a touch longer than that but I understand that sometimes there isn't a whole lot to say or do at any given time.
