I think if we're all put in bronze it might allow everyone to interact for a bit - assuming the rp continues and doesn't die then eventually characters can move in ranks and split apart and then come the rivalries.

Edit: meant to say I vote start bronze to get the best of both worlds so to speak, agreeing with the pros mentioned. I don't think we'd all stay in bronze for too long

Name: Beau Orto

Age: 39

Appearance:


Personality: Beau is a friendly man with demons he battles silently. He is easy to get along with but hard to open up and get to know him on an intimate level. When you have his trust and loyalty he is unwavering as his word is his bond. He is an affectionate man when you get to know him and prefers peaceful interjections before resulting to violence.

History: Beau had been living with a small rebel group that banded together for safety and security. He had lived with this small group since he was only 12 years old. His parents had been killed in front of him and he managed to narrowly escape himself. He vowed to exact revenge for his parents against the ETs responsible, or anyone who could represent the scum that changed his life in this already fucked up world. He developed his powers and skills in the small rebel group and fell in love with a beautiful woman named Krystal Mackie. Krystal and Beau, then 27 years old, had a child together that they named Rain. Rain and Krystal were Beau's everything. Rain was named when Krystal gave birth on a stormy night, a beacon of hope and love for them both in the grimness of the world that surrounded them. Fittingly enough Rain loved the water and the rainy days . When Rain was 5 years old their group was attacked unannounced and without warning. The group was overtaken and what small survivors there were disbanded and fled for their lives. The attack played out in an abandoned warehouse. Beau was hit in the chest, blown backwards by the blast and barely survived. He laid down pinned beneath the rubble, barely conscious but able to see through the debris over him Krystal and Rain. He watched as Krystal was murdered before him. His screams of frustration and terror when unheard as he couldn't bring the energy to project his voice. The ETs came to Rain, who was hovering over Krystal's falling body and crying, and picked her up carefully, taking her with them. Beau soon after passed out and was left for dead.

When Beau awoke he was in a make shift hospital, his wound tended to. The people caring for him tried to ask who he was and where he came from. The only thing on Beaus tormented mind was finding his daughter Rain. He remembered seeing Krystal's lifeless body thrown to the floor. And he remembers his little Rain being taken away, alive and calling out for him. Beau left on a lone journey, searching and finding information that would help him find his taken daughter. He holds on to the unbreakable hope that she is still alive out there, waiting for him to come save her.

Beau wears a piece of crystal attached to a small steel chain that sits around his neck tucked in to his shirt in remembrance of Krystal. Around his wrist he wears a bracelet Rain made for him out of blue and white string. On his left hand on his middle finger he wears a ring of tungsten metal, the hardest non-precious metal around, a reminder of his unbreakable goal to find Rain, even if it took all of his life time or cost him his life.

Skills: Able to remain calm in intense situations and think on his feet. He is a smooth talker and smart negotiator. He has precise aim with his Glock 17 9mm pistol that he carries with him at all times. He rarely uses his gun though, preferring to try peaceful persuasion first. He also carries in a holster at his lower leg a serrated 6 inch switch blade.

Powers: Beau has the ability to influence peoples emotions and inflict emotions on to people. When Beau makes eye contact it is very difficult for one to break away. If who is looking at is unable to look away soon enough Beau can maintain a hold on the person that becomes nearly impossible to break. He can influence how people feel but projecting any scale of emotion to them, ranging from joy, excitement, love, to darker emotions such as pain, fear, anxiety or rage. The longer he maintains the connection through eye contact the deeper emotions he can project. He is capable of rendering one psychology trapped in their muddled mind. His eye contact is alluring and he can influence people's trust when he maintains direct eye contact. Once eye contact is broken from either himself or the other person his powers no longer work. The initial eye contact is important to get through for Beau to maintain control, as the longer eye contact he holds the stronger connection he can maintain on them.

The Day The Earth Fell

Shay felt their bodies grow heavier as Sun's sprites lowered them down in Shay's back yard. Shay kept close to Marcus as they were lowered, her right foot planting firmly on the ground, her left kept up allowing only her toe to touch the ground for a bit of balance. As Sun's sprites completely disappeared and left them with the full force of gravity again, Shay stumbled and quickly reached over to Marcus, her hands clasping on to his left arm, clutching the metal piece. The transition from a weightless feeling to the full force of gravity, paired with the return of pain waves flowing through her body, left Shay shaky and unbalanced, relying on Marcus to help keep her from falling right to the floor. She gripped him tightly, knowing he felt nothing as she clung to his metal arm. She had never seen it in its entirety but was always curious about it and how it was connected to his body.

Shay looked to Sun. "Thanks so much, you're a sweetheart" she smiled gratefully. "Let's go inside for a moment, I desperately need a good shower." She was still covered in Red Waste dust that clung to her sweaty skin. Her body had gone through so much that a mixture of the dust, sweat, blood and tears could be found all around her.

"Marcus do you mind helping me to my bedroom?" Even though the pain was gradually dissipating, it still took quiet a bit of effort to keep herself balanced and walking, and she needed something or someone to lean on for the time being. She wasn't used to relying on anyone for help but in this moment she let her ego drop and took all the help she could get from her friends. If she could just take a refreshing shower and get in to some clean clothes she knew she would feel much better.

* Ravenia, Mother - Just took an ice bath and got her burn wounds cleaned. Dressed in Tobias' clothes and getting her wounds checked out. Worrying about her people recently injured from the attack of the Dead.

* Marcus, metal-armed Gate Keeper - With Shay at her house, helping her get comfortable as she recovers from her attack, getting quite close to her.

* Ramera, Harpie - At her post up on the walls of the city, thinking about a fortune that Sun had given to her earlier. What could it be?

* Anora, Harpie - At her post up on the walls, preparing for a scout of the lands after their attack from the Dead to make sure there are no more. Weirdly cut her hand? Perhaps we'll find out more about the reasoning behind that.

* Clo, Harpie - Having a good long nap at the medical center, resting from her exhausting fight with the Dead.

* Tobias, the Doc, Blessed One - Checking out Ravenia. I mean checking out her wounds at the medical center. ;)

* Jacob, radioactive Blessed One - Got clothes from Anora and is now resting in his place, enjoying peace, solitude and a good book: Plato's Republic. Pretty much a glowing skeleton and will probably visit Tobias at the med center to get himself checked out. Anyone else think Anora has an affection for Jacob? No? Just me? :)

* Fen - massive wolf Blessed One - Finally got himself dressed and cleaned up. Still at the medical center?

* Sun, sweet young Blessed One - Dropping Shay and Marcus off at Shay's home with his special sprites flying them all.

* Shay, Human Warrior - Arriving to her home, eager for rest and recover. Having feelings for Marcus that were never explored come to the surface. A friendship blossoming in to possibly more.

* Sasha, unknown Russian variable - Sarcastically and in his slightly drugged state filling out a medical information form at the med center.

* Isam, Helpful Human - Passed out on best friend Omar's bed, finally getting some much needed sleep.

* Omar, Another Human - Giving his specially grown pain meds to the medical center. Doesn't speak much english but plays a large role in supporting much of the city's medical and food supplies. Perhaps he needs a Character Sheet?

* Michael - mischievous little Human, wannabe Warrior With his Aunt at the gates apologizing to Anora and Ramera for stealing items from them with a sore bum.

* Cypher, Human leader of second group - Has found Paradise Land and has a great plan for his group that has yet to be revealed. Speaking with Kaiden, Eliza and Geoffrey.

* Eliza and Geoffrey, Metahumans of second group - Introducing themselves to Cypher and Geo getting chastised by Cypher for causing trouble.

* Kaiden, Metahuman of second group - At Cyphers side, eager to help, ready for their next plan of action following the great news of finding Paradise Land.

* Nicolas, returning rogue psychopath of Paradise Land - Floating on his barge towards the gates of Paradise Land, a place he once called home. Who will find him? Will those who remember him appreciate his return? What exactly did he do? Will he be taken back in out of pity due to his current ill infected state? What trouble will he cause in the city?

* Libby and Copper, kids found out in the Red Waste - Copper is very quiet. Libby has communication with...someone...having orders to kill the Russian. How is a small child going to do that? A vile of some medicine is missing and Tobias is curious but will investigate later.

Some plan called "Trojan Horse" is under way!

The Wave of Dead seem to be under control...for now...
