Ooo Kaiden's last name should be changed to: Cole pleeease :)
Shay enjoyed getting an early start to her day. Today marked the one year anniversary for her arriving as an employee for E.V.I.L. c., a day that changed her life forever. She would always be ever grateful for the opportunity to work with the company and has several successful missions logged in her file to prove how valuable of an employee she really was. But Shay had greater goals in mind. Her next step was to get out of the Bronze Division and in to the next Division that held more opportunities and a better lifestyle. She thought she already deserved this promotion but knew that only time, hard work, and a little bit of luck would get her out of this slum hole. She was keeping a look out for the next big mission that would help elevate her to that level.

Shay strolled through the hallways of the hidden building, boots thudding in a soft rhythm, her sword being dragged behind her leaving a low yet surprisingly annoying scraping sound that echoed around the rooms. In her other hand Shay held an apple, taking large bites as she continued down the halls. She looked around at familiar faces as she passed. She knew almost everyone here as she wasn't one to shy from conversations or any possible missions being given out or recruited for. Finishing her apple, she flicked the core to her right. Without looking her core flew to the side, unknowingly flying right towards the head of the puppeteer Lucile.

Shay, eyes still forward, looked towards one of her old partners named Alex, who was talking with a small group across the room. "Hey Alex, you better not be talking about me shithead" she yelled, giving him a small grin as she made her way towards him. Although Alex found her physically attractive, her brazen attitude and disruptive antics were something he could not stand and tried to stay away from. Alex narrowed his eyes and gaze a small groan.
Beau looked at his watch. Their time to meet here was coming to a close end. It seemed to be at this moment that it would be the 6 of them. If anyone else were to be arriving they would be here shortly but since normally it would be just a couple people running late, it seemed their small group would be as is. Beau could only logically conclude that each of them had a power, a gift that gave them a fighting edge over the ETs. Since they would be working as a team it would be wise for them to get to know each other, not only their names, but what powers they held. It would help them to work as a unit if they knew each others talents; perhaps they could learn to work their powers together for even greater attack and control.

Beau stepped forward to set himself in the middle of the slowly gathering group. His taller frame stood out amongst the crowd, and as he looked around to meet everyone's gaze, he would emit feelings of calmness, helping everyone to come to his attention. He was by no means trying to take control as the leader but he had a gift not only with his powers but with his calm nature to being people to listen to him.

Once he had most of their attention he raised his arms. "Everyone, If I can have your attention please. We may have a few others joining but due to the time frame we were given on our letters it seems that the group we see now will be the group intended for this mission." He looked around at them all again, his eyes glancing over Daily and then realizing she was holding a bottle of liquor. He frowned slightly but would address that later as it didn't settle well with him. She didn't even look old enough to drink, not that those old laws were enforced anymore.

"Let's go around and take turns introducing ourselves to each other by name, powers held if any, and weapons brought for the mission, We will be working together, and to work as one unit we must understand how we all work individually." He paused for a moment, eyes scanning the others.

"My name is Beau Orto. I have a 9mm pistol, a 6 inch blade, fairly well at hand to hand combat. I have a power, the ability to emit emotions on to others including ETs." Beau left the explanation of his powers to this. He would leave out the fact that to use his powers on ETs took much more effort than on humans, a much more physically draining experience.

Beau paused and waited, looking at the others if they would follow his lead.
Shay watched Marcus as he seemed to be in another place when she spoke to him, bringing his attention back to realty. She turned her head slightly, curious as to what he had been thinking about. Maybe he was stressed about having left his post, fearing Ravenia's reaction as he didn't normally do such a thing. Shay was willing to take all the blame and any punishment that might come from Marcus' actions. Shay was not normally a selfish person, quiet the opposite, but today she felt selfish and yet with cognitive dissonance she felt perfectly fine with it at the same time. She knew everyone else needed to care for the city given their dangerous circumstances, but she silently desired the extra care and attention to help her continue to get through what the infection did and continued to do to her both physically and mentally. Shay didn't realize it at the moment but the physical pain had been subsiding much quicker than she realized. A large percentage of the actual pain she was feeling both in her ankle and rippling throughout her body was a false notion in her head. Amazing how a damaged mind can tell the body what is or isn't real.

Sweet Sun was being as helpful as he could, definitely helping her stay calm though all of this, but Marcus...he brought a different feeling. He made her feel at peace and comforted in a much different way. No one else had the time to give her any extra attention, not that she would normally ask for it, but having Marcus right by her side was exactly what she wanted.

Shay looked at Marcus' arm as he laid it down. It was quite the structure, a brilliant masterpiece he had crafted close to perfection for his own use. She gave him a smile as he entered her shower, the hot water running once more, steam filling the room. Shay sat down on the bed for a moment and looked at Marcus arm. She didn't know his full story. Most of her time with him up on the wall when she first came were of her venting and sharing her story. Marcus was kind enough to listen and give bits if comforting advice but never once burdened Shay with his own troubles. Shay didn't realize this until now. She glanced to the shower then looked back to his arm. His story deserved to be heard. Perhaps he had his own reasons of trepidation for sharing but she knew from experience that intense past experiences that were held inside were only toxic to both body and mind. She wouldn't ask him since she didn't want to intrude but she would give everything she had to be a safe place for him, showing him she held no judgements or expectations if he ever felt the desire to open up.

Shay ran her finger tenderly along Marcus' metal arm, trailing her soft flesh across the cold metal, feeling all of the small pieces that held the intricate piece together. She desired to know more about him. You can tell a lot about a person by their actions. Marcus didn't need to say very much for her to know the kind of man he inherently was. But she desired to know more about him, his story, his future desires. Even in the land they lived with grim prospects, everyone had a right to a desire, a goal for their future to strive for. What was his?

She got up from the bed and let her towel drop from her dry body. She moved to her dresser and began to slip on some clothes: sports bra, thong, fitted black t-shirt, and dark wash jeans, being careful to disturb her bandaged ankle as little as possible. She slipped on her running socks and light weight black running shoes, laying her leather jacket across the edge of the bed for when they would leave. She bent over and shook her hair with the towel dry as best she could before flipping her back over as she stood upright, letting her dark damp hair air dry. She kept hair bands on her wrist in case she needed them but left her hair down for the time being.

Marcus finished his shower soon after and emerged. Shay looked to him in his towel for a moment before turning away, waiting for him to dress. After a moment she looked back as he finished pulling on his pants. He still wasn't saying much of anything. And yet he was here with her. It was his own choice and if he would rather be at his post he would have left by now. Shay brushed some of her damp hair off of her face and walked forward to him, standing right in front of him, their faces inches apart. She looked in to his eyes, not caring if her brazen move took him off guard. Their city was in distress, everything was changing, the Dead might return, nothing was certain at this point, most certainly not their lives. She was willing to die for their city, die for Mother, for her friends, and she realized if their current events continued to evolve she might be faced with grim chances for survival. A wave of panic fled through her body as she realized she might not see tomorrow.

Shay moved her hands up along his chest, trailing up along the sides of his neck and resting with her finger slightly entwined in his hair. Her eyes never left his, both of them silent, her intentions very clear. She paused, waiting for him to move away, before she would lean forward and place her lips on to his, holding him tightly against her.

Guys, calm down. We shall not let this die. Being convinced something is going to die is the start of its death. We just need to keep posting. Sure some people will fall behind but we should just drag them through the mud behind us. I have a dream. A dream that one day I shall see the closing post for this RP. Not a final post, written out of desperation to keep this above water before it drowns, but rather a post of victory. A post of success and fulfilled wonders. A post where rather than people weeping tears of unfulfillment they weep for joy. I have a dream that one day despite all doubts and all odds that this RP shall successfully end.

Hear hear!!

Her Merman! Just stay connected until you can get back in. You better get back in though! Screw RL ! Lol
Good to hear Luminance!

I don't mind at all Exit :)

If Pyro doesn't post soon I'm moving Shay without him.

I really hope this rp doesn't die. There is a lot of great substance going on, it'd be a shame to lose it.
Woohoo! I'm off tomorrow. Sadly the only plans I have are giving blood and going to the gym. I'll be lurking >_>
Hope things get better Vicier. We've all been there. Just stay positive. We'll be here *hug* Listen to some great music, that always helped me.
Seriously!

OK after Pyro posts I'll bring Shay back to the med center. Then we can figure out what's going on with the Russian and the kids.
When Beau came to the clearing through a thick entrance of the bushes there seemed to be a lot of people already gathered. He had walked his route, not in any hurry to tire himself out. As his he stepped over a final small rim of bushes, exposing himself to the open air at the meeting point on the pad, Beau looked around at who was already here. He saw Eli handing two others, Alex and Daily, a piece of his fruit, looked to his side to see Todd emerging from the forest line, shrugging his backpack. Another man, Murry, joined the others from what seemed to be a hiding point he had. They all certainly had their reasons to have their guards up. If they were all summoned for reasons of special powers there was a faint chance they had been discovered by the ETs and this whole "secret mission" was a trap. Having nothing to gain and everything to lose, Beau came to the meeting point anyway, despite knowing this could be a possibility; anything to take another step closer to find Rain.

Beau walked forward slowly. In the forest he had tucked his pistol in the back of his pants, though if they were to be ambushed by ETs it wouldn't fair very well. Beau looked carefully at everyone, curious if he would recognize anyone from previous slave camps. It was highly likely some of them would know each other.

When Beau saw he had been seen by the others he raised his arm up to a wave, walking towards them still. Once he came close enough to them he raised his hand again in greeting. "Hello everyone. My name is Beau" he said. They would need to get to know each other soon enough.
