Bo was born in the middle of a hot summer day, to his mother Bertie, and his father Masao. There first born child, he spent most of his first year of life in his mothers arms. When he was only two years old he was running around and swimming with the other little kids of the village, while his mother watched him with a proud smile and a fully pregnant belly. two months before his third birthday, his mother went into labor, giving birth to a healthy little girl, but do to some hemorrhaging after the birth, his mother died. Denna was his new white haired baby sister, who he adored. Being only about three years old he didn't understand that his mother was gone, but he cried when his father cried, and all he wanted to know was were his mommy went. Pia the midwife came to stay with them, and take care of him and his sister, as his father worked as the head of the hunters. Widowed with two young children, he was rather lost and upset when he was idle, and not working. Pia was always fun, but rather strict, life went on and Bo turned five, all the while coming to love Pia as his mother. He began to notice how happy Pia made her father, making him laugh, and so on. A year later Pia gave birth to Bo's second little sister, Vivi.
When he was nine he got lost in the forest for two whole days, loosing his why during a game of hide and seek. In the end the village search party found him sleeping in a hollow log, blackberry smeared all over his face and hands. His best friends Henwen, ____, and ____ would spend there afternoons climbing trees, hunting, shooting there sling shots, and swimming in the ocean. When he was thirteen Pia got ill. He watched as his little sister Vivi spent most of her time beside her mothers bed, and as Denna took up the house hold chores. Pia's health never got better and she died only a month later from pneumonia. The whole family mourned her death. little eleven year old Denna took up the household duties and when from being the spunky little tomboy into a overly responsible motherly figure. Little seven year old Vivi never seemed to cry in front of her family, but Bo had seen her run off into the forest many times, on the edge of tears. Bo's father was sad, but he didn't show his emotions very easily anymore. Bo took to the ocean, spending most of his time diving for fish and shells with his friends, he was upset but it was easier for him to come to terms with Pia passing.
When He was fourteen his father brought him along on one of the big hunting trips to the other side of the island. He had gone hunting with his father many times, he could track a animal, and set traps like every other villager, but being invited along with the hunting troop was an honor. Bo and his father ended up bring home the prized stag and a big feast was held. When he was sixteen he lost his virginity to a girl named Rune who was a year older then him. And they began dating, only about three months in they broke up, after she told him she was going to the temple to be a priestess. Life went on he had a major crush on the chiefs eldest daughter Kissa Ozzi. He did everything in his power to woo her but nothing seemed to work. When he turned eighteen Kissa explained to him one night that she thought he was handsome and funny, but she could only be with the man her father approved of, seeing as he would most likely be the next chief, seeing as she was the oldest and her father had yet to bare any sons. So Bo did everything he could to prove himself to the chief, Kissa fell in love with him. The chief gave in to the young stubborn hard working Bo. After only six months Bo and Kissa married.

Bill was born in prison to Winifred Parker. Winifred, Bill's mother, was seven months pregnant when she stabbed her husband John Parker to death one summer night. John was Bill's biological father. Winifred got the sentence to be hung, but the church got the courts to prolong her hanging date until after the baby was born. Bill was raised by his grandmother, along with two his older half-brother Peter, and Timothy. Bill was eight when there grandmother died. Then Bill and his brother Peter went into the orphanage. Timothy went to work on the ships, hoping to save money for his younger brothers.
Bill's time in the orphanage was unpleasant to say the least. The nuns always seemed to find some reason or other to give the boys a whipping. Timothy came by every few months with sweets, and tales of his time at sea. When was Peter fourteen he left the orphanage to train as a sculptor in Italy, sponsored by an art patron who saw his small works one evening. Bill was eleven and sick of living in the orphanage. When Timothy came to visit, he begged his older brother to take him with, out to sea. Timothy finally agreed, and even got his captain to take Bill as his cabin boy.
From eleven till now he has been working his way up as a sailor. The Ship he has been on for the past two months has been lost at sea. Dehydration, starvation, and illness set in, taking half the crew with it. The ships Navigator seemed to have gone mad. The compasses would only spin around and around, and the stars all seemed to be in the wrong place in the sky. Finding there way home was become a pointless dream. More of the Crew was dying off, and then sadly his brother Timothy took his last breath. A week later, a ship full of the dead, and only four survivors not including himself, they see land!
