Say @Ruler Inc, what's the Initiatives stance on biological/chemical weapons? I'd assume they wouldn't allow guys from the universe I bashed out, or any other for that matter, being able to shoot jets of high temperature acid or other methods for spreading horrible mega-death.
A question; will the group that our characters be composed of deal with general issues, or do they focus on dealing with specific things/in a specific way? Wondering so I know whether to make my character more of a space cop or a diplomat, or if a mix of the two is required.

Here it be. The thing. I'll start bashing out a character sheet soon enough.
I'm going to drop the "make a character from someone else's universe" aspect of the RP and make it optional.

That's dandy, as I started thinking it would be really interesting to explore the universe I'm writing. But I should still make a character from another universe for 'getting out of my comfort zone' purposes.

EDIT: On another note, how long has this Praxis whatever been going on for in-universe? And my thing should pretty much be done at this point.
1. I'm fine with whatever, depends what kind of story we want. I feel the first option could be very easily episodic, whereas the other leans more towards an overall plot (universes coming to agreement with each other). But I'm fine with either one, both can be interesting.
2. I'm more inclined towards the first one for mentioned reasons, and if we want we can have an overall plot/sign that events have affected the setting.
3. Could do. It won't affect much; travel will just involve less portals, or whatever it is that connects universes.
4. + 6. Unsure on exact story lines, but I'd be interested in an exploration/diplomacy focused thing. Something kind of Star Trekish, really like that show, and how everything doesn't need to end in a big action scene where Picard shoots Borg with a tommy gun or something.
5. I'd like to know everyone's stuff before coming up with something.
7. I don't really mind, as long as it's not overly ornate, but even that's a minor gripe. Maybe something based on the storyline we're going for/organisation whatever if that's a thing?
I'm fine with whatever general setting, though I do lean towards the fantasy side. Not neccessary the medieval kind, just the kind where the story isn't hyper-married to reality. We could have each universe run on their own world laws, but I'm more inclined towards there being general laws for the sake of simplicity, and so the universes can actually interact with each other.

As far name...depends what the plot/whole thing will be a about. 'Multiverse Mash Up' is a simple one if you need a name for the planning phase.

2 and 4 together sound fine and dandy. We could do each universe finding the others on their own, our characters being the brave explorers. Alternativly we could start where they've already integrated with one another, or at least recognise and have come to terms with the others existing. In that case, perhaps the characters could be a part of some multiverse...coalition? Combined force? That deals with something or another. Could be something specific like multiverse police, or something more broad like being apart of the organisation that organises/handles affairs between multiverses.
2 and 4 are my top picks. 2nd one sounds like an interesting writing excercise and seeing how others explore the material you've provided/made, and 4th sounds neat because I sure do like discussing ideas. Only one I'm a bit iffy on is 3, and when I say iffy, I more mean it makes me think of Kingdom Hearts and how silly that can be at times. Which is great, I love silly things like Cloud telling Sora to "EVOLVE OR DIE."
Well, the settings just meant to be a vague background that lets you get away with doing anything. I didn't want it to have any over arching rules or truths, apart from perhaps the lack of them, so I (and any writers involved) could come up with whatever they want and not have to worry about how it fits into something I came up with. The whole borders of reality being a place of constant change was inspired by the feywilds in Exalted,

To put it simply, if someone wants cybernetic orcs with jet packs and sawblade launchers, it doesn't stop another one having a bunch of magically attuned Eldar god like beings doing 9-5 jobs in the hellscape of the officeorium in the same world and potentially interacting.

Anyway, enough rambling, to the point. Essentially, I'd like a game where everyone is the game master.

So, what kind of story do you want to write about? Rather, what kind of stories do you like, and what do you like them being about? Stuff like that that let's us establish what we want out of it, so we can achieve our desires.

Personally, I would rather something focusing on 'regular' people on relatively small conflicts. None of that 'we have to save the world' kind of stuff. I think It'd allow for a greater focus on individual characters rather then who retrieved the amulet of kings. Not to say that the world being in peril can't be a backdrop, but the events in the story are more regional focused then globally, so to speak. Global issues tend to have the plot favored over characters I find. But still, depends what we want out of it, maybe you love that kind of 'war at risk' kind of thing.

Something with cults/supernatural beings in conflict could be an interesting idea. Maybe they have denounced the other as whatever, and seek to purge the other? While their trying to get rid of each other, perhaps the ruling powers don't like either of them, and their trying to remove the other whilst staying in the good graces of authority? Maybe it could focus on the authorities themselves trying to rid one of the cults.

Those are just some off the top of my head. Anything on your end?
The Convoluted Plane

In a distant world, mechanical Gods toil in creating a perfect reality, but their creators neglected to inhibit the limits of their creations. The realm was once one of pristine order, a place of certainties, where doubt and hope had been expunged by its ever expanding patterns. But these patterns grew more and more complex, more contrived, more ridiculous. Concepts such as day and night became hidden behind fortifications of information that only grew thicker. They have become incomprehensible to everything; locked in a never ending vortex of algorithms only they understand. They have twisted their realm into a distorted hell of insane order.

The only places habitable to life are those the Gods have long since abandoned. The Gods constantly press forwards as redundancies are made and projects abandoned. Free from constant change, a measure of stability was allowed to take hold in these areas. Either coming from the cosmic scrap itself, or vagrants shambling away from the Gods workshops, life arose in these areas. Eventually, sentence was achieved, and with it civilizations of all shapes and forms. They persist for their own reasons and beliefs while the literial borders of reality are torn and re-knit by the whims of reality bending things.

Hello there and thanks you checking this out.
So, the desire behind creating this interest check for a world that can seemingly have anything come out of it is so I can see just that. I love seeing others ideas and detest putting restrictions on such. In particular, discussing such ideas and how they interact with those of others. In other words, I don't have a set world, plot, or story at the moment. What I want to do, with those interested in such an idea, is discuss what they want out of a story and make one together from those wants and ideas. I don't particular care for how skilled you at writing, as long as your willing to discuss things. We can ignore the preface if we want to. We can do whatever we want really.

TL:DR - who wants to talk about the things they like and make a story out of it?
