Here is my CS for your review.

I'm very much in! Just need to decided which of my characters I want to plaaaaaaay...
Name | Paul Ito

Species | Human

Gender | Male

Age | 16

Appearance |

Paul is of average build and height, while in decent enough shape he is not particularly athletic.

History | Not many people know about tiny little church hidden in a shady little corner of Kuchikiroka. Even the handful of local Christians have trouble finding it at times it is so small and out of the way. Attached to that church is an even smaller home. That is where Paul and his father Hanayama live. Hanayama is the Pastor of this run down little church. While his following is very small, just enough to keep his doors open and performing the occasional Christian wedding, Hanayama is quite devout to his faith, even giving his son a name of an apostle. As for his mother...well, Hanayama doesn't much talk about his former wife. She left just shortly after Paul was born. The best Paul can piece together was that she couldn't handle the natural level of piety that came with being a Protestant Pastors' wife in a country where only 1% of the people claim to be Christian in faith. Though, in her defense, Paul is unsure how he hasn't managed to run away sometimes.

Some of Paul's earliest memories are being in the church with his father during sermons .He never much understood what exactly was going on but he remembered enjoying listing to his father speak about things like love and faith. Eventually they Discovered paul was 'Blessed' as his father put it. Paul was born with an 'aggressive' spiritual energy, highly tuned to healing and warding. He could very naturally dispel off negative energy or minor apparitions from afflicted people by touching them. This, for a time, garnered the church decent businesses. Paul himself didn't exactly know what was going on, but enjoyed the praise he would get from his father when he helped people and did so without questioning much.

Though as he got older he became more skeptical of what he was doing and his father's faith in general. If god loved them so much, why did they have to work so hard to get by? Why did all these sick people need HIS help if god was so powerful? Was he even helping these people? His spiritual awareness was very low, he could not feel what was afflicting these people or what he was doing for them. He began to believe he was at best a placebo of sorts, at worst that his father was taking advantage of him and the faith of his followers. These thoughts casted him further into doubt. The finishing blow for his faith was when other children found out about his status as a 'miracle worker' and began to tease him. Having already singling him out as a Christian and with a western name, he further distanced himself from the church and his supposed abilities, this proved to be the last straw. Soon he refused to lay hands of people, and began to only go into the church when he absolutely needed to.

This naturally caused a great deal of tension between his father him, and without the 'miracle boy' their following dropped back to being a especially small. Years pass, Paul is now a sophomore in high school, the relationship between Paul and his father is strained at best. He feels as if he has been shackled by his father's beliefs and lifestyle, them making him an outsider among his peers. Paul catches his fair share of crap for his name and his father profession, but he has been able to gain an average level of acceptance by being the loudest decrier of both.

Personality | Paul detests his name, and prefers for anyone close to him to call him Ito. He doesn't much like to stick out and does his best to be a normal highschool youth. He has developed a big personality as a defense mechanism at school. While he is well enough behaved in class, he will clown around a bit for the other boys, mostly to keep them off of his back. He learned if he plays the role of a 'harmless goof ball', that is more or less how he will be treated. He'd rather not have their respect than be a target for bullies. Even non bullies kind of see him as something of a big joke now.

To that end, it would be suffice to say the Paul does not like conflict. He does not cause trouble and is liked well enough among the staff of school to be largely ignored as just another average student. And yet he is not a fan of seeing others being picked on. He if he sees an opportunity he'll use his clown like status to draw attention away from a victim to either give them a chance to escape or simple completely re-direct the bullies awareness to him.

THEME
I'm in
I'm still here, I'm hella still here for dis game.

Also going for First mate! fight me bros!
"Ah got it." Hertha said rising up to retrieve the first aid kit. With someone already treating the captains wounds she was only in the way really. She took a moment, now that things were calmed down and they were out of the harbor and in the open ocean, how odd everything that just went down. She was fairly sure half of these people weren't really pirates, not in the traditional sense at least. But neither was she, so she figured she couldn't complain much. She just hoped the Navy was rattled up a enough to give them a good head start. She got the feeling that Lighting fella wasn't going to give up on them so easily.

"Oi!" she called out once she returned with the First Aid kit. "Since it seems we ah' stuck with each otha', may as well introduce our selves." She placed the kit down next to the captain and turned to face all on deck. "Ah am Hertha, daughter of Elbathen pirate Balder the Bloody. Ah guess I'm the ships official swords woman. Ah got a little experience with a verity of trades though, I can do some minor repairs on a ship, major ones on weapons and equipment, and I've been on the sea for quite a few years now so I kno ma way around a vessel." she gave her captain a sideways glance "Could make me good first mate material, if ya think'en of choose'n one anytime soon."
Among the many who were gathered for the first encounter of alien, non Equis life forms was Equis's very own highly advanced artificial intelligences. the Spectral Ether Equestrian Constructs. SEECs. There wes a good few dozen of them spread about in various stations. They took the shapes many ponies of different shapes and breeds and sizes. SEECs were a wonder of equestrian science, made to be technician golems in the harshness of space they found that heir utility as technicians and interceptors of hostile tech and magic was invaluable in countless situations. Each one made of a set of floating orbs that projected a ethereal construct as their body. While they did not need these to perform their primary functions here the advanced AIs were self away and more often than not preferred to resemble and stand among their creators.

They had two primary objectives here. They were to use their advanced AI's and hi processing powers to run encryption and deciphering programs on every bit of language spoken. The goal to get a working understanding of their language as quickly as possible. They were excellent data and analysis tools, each one here was firing up a different form of translator .Communication was key, and the sooner proper communication was established the less like hood something would go terrible wrong. Neither side had done anything to really be called specious...yet. But history showed that sometimes the foes of equestria would march right through its doors in the guise of a friend.

Then there was the secondary function the group of AI had prepared for this meeting. Defense. The same generates in their varied cores that made them solid bodies rather than projected holograms were also able to produce some potent shields. Even strong still if they temporarily give up form of their bodies projections and revert to a loose collection of floating orbs. With the group of A class SEECs gathered here working together to produce shielding, all top of the line in one way or another, it could likely withstand most forms of known attack. But they were dealing with the unknown now. Nothing was certain. That's what Seeker thought at least, and the few AI's who were nerves enough to join her in wireless conversation agreed.

Similar to the Hive mind of a changeling, it was quite an simple task for multiple SEECs to link their communicate to one another thorough wireless networks. Though it seemed only the younger ones were engaging in that information sharing at the moment. Perhaps the more developed seeks were better focused at the task at hand. The young AI's seemed to need the comfort of one another's company.

Seeker, probable the youngest SEEC here, only with two space tours under her belt she was still in the first steps of actualization. She had decided her gender, her appearance, and was starting to develop quit the personality. Among one of the newer, higher-lined models present. The AIs' were all in full projected form, their translucent, glowing bodies standing out among crowd. Seeker's projected form was that of a Minty green earth pony, her main flowing and blue, her eyes a shining lavender. She was still attempting to process if this was positive or negative. Contact with another race from another world was truly fascinating. But if they came in war, She was honestly not sure of the Equstrian race's chances. They clearly had control of that one object they had found deep in the Equis solar system. It was impossible to tell where or how they arrived exactly in this system, but they knew that odd device was involved. There was all the reason to believe they would be millennia ahead in technology or magic. Assuming they had the latter of course.
Captain Silver Lining stood among the ranks of the military ready for the first contact. occasionally barking a command to infantry under his command. Most of his squad had been but on crowd detail, ready to defend and usher the civilians away if things went poorly with this first contact. Princess Twilight was far more optimistic than most of his men or fellow officers were. Hell, she was more so than even him personally and as his cutie mark suggested He was good at finding the good in bad situations.

Perhaps it was simply thinking with his military trained mind but he was positive that one way or another this would go wrong. Perhaps it was because there were so many ways it could go wrong. The complete lack of a common language would make a mutual understating tense.

There was also the trouble of cultural differences, conflicts had begun in the ancient past due to petty differences in two nations culture and way of thinking.

There was also the popular theory among the more paranoid soldiers that this was the same kind of first contact that less advanced cultures in history got from an exploratory race. The natives that encountered Christerhoof Columbus hadn't gotten off so well, contact of foreign explorers was often the first step in total civilization collapse, Who was to say they'd fare any better.

It was the job of Silver as well as the other commanding officers to keep everypony focused rather than wasting their energy on useless conjecture...but it was also their job to keep such outcomes in mind. The defense of the princess was a priority. He looked around to pick out other notable captains present, they were all in their full and best combat armor.
How about Seeker, as well as other SEECs, are there as A) part of the translation team (AI processing power would be effective for this and B) as defensive unites if things go wrong. They are capable of producing hella shields?
I also won't be getting a post up tonight, but i'll likely get something up tomorrow
Dealing with reaper left overs ( possible with a changling queen at the helm of one much like Saren in game one ) would make for a fun endgame conflict :D
