I was literally having a discussion last night about that show and how it makes no sense from a chronological perspective. There's been something like 820 episodes, which if we were to say each episode was a day, that would put Ash and friends at 2 1/4 years, in which there's no signs of aging or maturity. Given that there's no way in hell each episode is a day in Ash's life (really, daily elaborate Team Rocket abduction attempts and crazy, exhausting events every single day? Was there no rest or travel time involved, and are we to believe they walked that vast distance for most of the journey?) The actual time of the series has to have been a lot longer and puberty must never happen while you're on an irresponsible, education deprived vagabond journey with no adult supervision to capture creaures that are literally capable of burning down forests, changing the weather, and levelling mountains.

He should be sixteen by now, someone already did the math. Also he saw a Ho-Oh that made him immortal.

Just a bad fan fiction, think about it. Ash is so super special he sees all legendary pokemon, he has aura magic, he never ages, just telling his yellow little pokemon to try harder seems to make it beat elements it weak to, also ash gets a lot of random girls to stay with him for long times with out trying.Ash is a damn grey stu, not some kid in a coma.
