A reality, parallel our own, is in peril. Demons lay waste to countless souls while the only ones who can stop them stand idly on the sidelines laughing at the destruction their laziness has caused. Some help, but that is not their story. One particular city, called Alt-New York by those who do not know better, sits on a Hellhole that has guided you there without your knowing. All you know is that it can help you, depending on your plight. Has your soul been scattered by the demon your weapon holds? Or are you on a warpath, trying to avenge your fallen comrades?

Your purpose for now is unknown, but your battle is your's nonetheless. May your enemy taste your steel, and bathe in his own blood....

This is an idea I've been toying around with for years. You know that trope that every dark teenager with a tragic backstory has a demonic weapon and is super angsty? This is pretty much that except everyone has one of those demonic weapons and some of them have lost their souls using said demonic weapons. In this story it's either fight or be killed, so be willing to fight. all of the weapons have something in common- they were all made by the same ancient kingdom, a kingdom that gave these weapons demonic gods to merge with. Here is the list of demonic gods you guys can choose to work under:

To be fair to the Bronze Bear, it was originally the first of a trifecta of the lowest tier, but it turned out the Bronze Bear demonic god was too powerful to put in the lame tier so they scrapped the other two. Oh yeah, there are tiers. The Main Four: Emerald Monkey, Emerald Eagle, Sapphire Whale, Ruby Rhino. The Gods among Gods: Emerald Monkey, Bronze Bear, Ruby Rhino, Emerald Eagle. Rivals: Amber Falcon, Crystal Cat, Diamond Snake. Opal Tier: Emerald Monkey, Emerald Eagle.

Special Powers among weapon users include super strength, increased stamina, increased intelligence, and increased hand-eye coordination. Some weapons make sure their user never dies (Bronze Bear makes it's user seemingly invincible except for a blow from the center of the top of the head down into the middle of the brain. Emerald Monkey teleports user inside the gemstone used to keep the demonic god everytime they die, healing them instantly. Ruby Rhino is just too lucky and Emerald Eagle urges the user away from conflict, even telling them when another user is nearby.) There are some weapons that protect the user using quick movements and "hitboxes" (Diamond Snake is a bracelet that controls hand movements when user is confronted, it also makes their hands poisonous in battle, delivering a non-lethal venom that makes the target extremely high. Sapphire Whale has invisible fat around him, keeping him safe from most attacks. Other weapons are just plain lucky) And the rest are just demonic weapons. Some don't even take your soul! (Ruby Rhino, Amber Falcon, Emerald Eagle, Sapphire Whale)
