Glad you like it! I did end up choosing Fire magic as my second school, simply because it...basically handles all of my offensive needs anyway (sans stuff against fire elementals, but I can always add another one later). I'm also considering changing the second to "Holy" magic, but I'm not really sure since I would imagine holy magic is ostracized after the whole banishing the gods thing, thus would be difficult to sell. Of course, the only reason I'm considering this is because it would add healing to buffing...I think. Also, I've decided to try and fix the grammar. It'll take me a little while, but hopefully it'll be much easier to read once I am done with it.

Good enough: Character approved, since you got all the mandatory bits out of the way.
Russel has been approved.

Note: Certain NPC's might catch onto his armour and be able to help him figure out who he is, or at least, where he came from.

I'd liketo get Awakened Meditation and Upgrade apprentice for NadiraAnd for the new unique I was thinking something like this.Tainted Telepathy:Through her inate telepathic skills, limited as they normally are to her brother, and the demonic connection of blood magic Nadira has found she can hear the thoughts of nearby Demons, she is unaware if this is a two way connection as yet.Gat took care of the unique upgrade already.

Approved. So you want to peer into the minds of demons, hm?... Careful, the abyss might stare back at you.
Elrbetrt Westfeld. A couple things need fixing.

#1: What war? With who? The Nine Hells? The Nine Hells haven't managed to get a true invasion force out yet. With Renalta? The two nation states have never been at war, though tensions are high enough to spark one. With Rheinfeld? They're too far and wouldn't dare to have demons in their armed forces. If this character's family was sent to stop demonic incursions, they would be skirmishes. Just a suggestion, that you could still have a similar history, but one where there is an outright war, where Liveria is sending out a significant amount of its resources, isn't particularly possible.

Adrenaline
--Underdog (Tier 2): Where others would collapse and die, you live on. You know that if you can live just long enough to take out your opponent, you can stop and rest, and in doing so prolong and increase your odds of survival. (If the opponent you are engaging is struck dead, and you disengage to rest, you have a greater chance of surviving lethal or severe wounds, and have a small chance of recovering from them sufficiently to be combat-ready without the assistance of a healer.)

Note: This character might occasionally be mistaken for a vampire by the uneducated due to the silver eyes.
Gat said Brovo seriously accepted another blind character? After all the fun we had trying to work out what to do with Os'Falan I honestly find it quite hilarious :p

I love a challenge and you know it.

Muderok

Heavy Hitter
--Crushing Blow (Rank 2): You've learned that against enemies who are pained or slowed, you have even more time to swing and aim, hitting them with the maximum potential force possible. (Automatic critical hit against enemies that are stunned, dazed, unaware, or otherwise not expecting the attack. Small chance to crush armour in such a way as to mangle a limb or cause internal damage to a target through armour.)

Customs approved.

Gryff

Charger
--Smash n' Grab (Rank 2): Atop of charging brutishly like some kind of avalanche of death you've clued in that if you can grapple your opponent, or hit them specifically in a way to daze them or knock away their weapon, you'll then have a much easier time with introducing them to whatever entity they consider divine. Such as your warhammer, or crossbow. (On successfully charging into someone, you have a chance of disarming them, grappling them, pinning them, or stunning them, depending on what their size is and whether or not they're wielding a weapon, and have a greater chance of avoiding harm while charging into someone or something.)

Customs approved.

Raen Delaeseris Elvarasi.

#1: Just to clarify, how old are those women now?

#2: Draconic Blood is unbalanced. It's essentially giving you the trait bonuses of Sharp, Fortitude, Endurance Training, and atop that having both Cold AND Acid resistance, and the only offset is a weakness to fire your human half already has. Then the second ranking is increasing all of these bonuses--the free sharp, fortitude, endurance training, cold and acid resistance--And atop that adding a vague breath weapon that does cold damage and paralysis. Is it a cone attack? How long is its range? What's to stop him from spamming it constantly? Lower the number of bonuses in this trait. Then decide whether you want to increase the bonuses as the rank 2, or have the breath weapon as rank 2. Not both.

#3: Void Mind is again stacking on stacking a bit, but not as badly as Draconic Blood is. Drop one of the bonuses and it should be fine.

#4: Note that while you can start with your horse, because it's not a contract companion which you unlocked over the course of the role play or a unique companion, your horse is quite vulnerable and can be killed fairly easily.

#5: This one is more of a nitpick, but a tent that is large enough to hold two horses is in a saddle bag, along with everything else you have, such as six weeks worth of food? Normally, in real life, horses were just tied to something and left out because they could deal with the elements like rain and be fine, or you would stop at a stable, or near a cave, or other place of shelter so the horse could get out of the elements.

#6: That map of the Underdark won't be useful anywhere outside of cities and towns. Because the tunnels are constantly changing in shape and configuration in a manner that is unpredictable.

Please address concerns, then I can review it again and see if we can't work something out.
Aeonumbra said Good lord the Legend continues, I remember seeing this on the old forums (R.I.P).Unfortunately I never got to read all 22,000 posts. (Rough Estimate). I've almost all but forgotten about this place, lost in the dusty catacombs of my mind.

If I could be so inclined I'd like to audition for slot #91, as I hear the other 90 have been reserved already, but should the time ever come that the rusted gates of the waiting list finally creak open I will be watching.

You can try to join. The character limit is more of a soft limit, as Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean put it, "more like guidelines than actual rules."

You can also PM me with questions, or contact me on Steam or Skype.

Steam: brovo196 (Search for Brovo, and add the Canadian whose name is either "Brovo (Home)" or "Brovo (Work)")

@Everyone: I'm going to try to get the giant ball room post up today, but I give no promises. It's about halfway done and it might take a little more time to get it nice, polished, and finished. Missions will come out shortly thereafter. Don't be afraid to ask me questions and blah blah blah y'all know the routine by now. Be creative. ;)

You're doing it right.

Well, if it means anything, sometimes I wish there was an afterlife just for certain types of people. You know the kind. The ones that willingly sacrifice their time and energy and love just to make your life better. For no more reason than just to see you smile. I still don't get it. Not really. There are still many things I don't get... But that person gave me a heart where I had nothing but contempt for people.

She didn't save my life, she wasn't my girlfriend or otherwise, she was simply a compassionate person with an endless amount of patience for wounded people like I was. For no reason at all. It still baffles me.

... And admittedly, on a nice sunshiny day, with clear blue skies, and a raven crying in the distance, I sometimes still think about her. It is strange. Delightful, nostalgic, a bit painful, but I revel in what little empathy I get to wield in remembering this person.
I miss you. I hope you sleep well. Not sure why I'm saying this, though, dead friends tell no tales, after all. Guess it is just nice to get it off my chest is all, since it is a nice summer day, and you liked those.

Am I doing it right, or was that too dark?
@Everyone: Do not comment on Raen's sheet or others until I get home please and thanks.
When people bitch about bitching and do not understand the irony. This compounds if they bitch about bitching about bitching about bitching about bitching about bitching and bitching and bitching...

Also, the news. Doom, doom, violence, terrorism, middle east, violence, doom, doom, burglers, do games/other media than the news make you a genocidal ragemonster, psychopaths are evil, republicans are dumb, democrats are dumb, everyone is dumb... OH MAH GAWSH KITTENS!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I love everything I play. There is something nice in every piece.
Not sure I can agree about values remaining consistent. Values change, often, and sometimes even by the millions. I hate to use this as an example, but, Nazi Germany would certainly not have been possible if people's core values were static and unchanging.

Personally, my values have changed over time as well, as I've grown older, sharper, my lifestyle has changed, and so on. Granted, certain values have not, like I strive to be an honourable man, but then, those types of values are very vague and subjective. One man's definition of an honourable deed differs to another.

Again. I think the answer for this is too complex to chalk solely up to birthrite. We can, and do, regularly defy genetically programmed behaviours. So Ehh... Nehh...

Tl;Dr: insufficient information. More research required, but from what I have personally observed, I cautiously think it is a mix of genetic predisposition and intellectual, sentient choices.
I suppose I should clarify that nothing here is finished 100%. Like the angel enclave has been moved to Liveria, because I felt there were too many rescue missions. Also, Amazonia is no longer terminated society. (Poor wording on my part. I didn't mean total annihilation, I meant as a nation, they would no longer be a power player.)

Also, to clarify further so you all have more to go on from the Word of God.

Each nation brings something potent to the table. Like to counterpin the "Imperium is weak" bit, note they have two things going for them. First, the immortal regiment, which is basically the remaining 10,000 year old badasses that refused to stay dead. They operate like a single entity. Put them on a line and it will not fall. They are the immovable object for all concerns. Secondly, they are highly adaptable. They lost the colonia because they lost the magic war. The response? Go pursue one of the most powerful magical artifacts in the world so they can stop that nonsense.

Amazons? Potent shock troopers--including blood mages--and ambush predator tactics. What they lack in number they make up for in skill.

Tuleria? Lizardmen, which are basically 6-8 feet tall muscular juggernaut troops. By the thousands. They also have access to firearms, specifically cannons, which are very useful artillery.

Free Holds? Sheer irreducible numbers that they use to pin enemies down before their highly paid specialists lay waste to a battlefield. Technically speaking, toe to toe, no other nation in the world could win against them. Even Rheinfeld's inquisitions do not get far. The problem is uniting them since they constantly change leadership.

The only reason the Goblin Holds is doing as well as it is is because the Free Holds saw the imperium as a greater threat. Xixis is however an extremely potent mage, and what the goblins lack in raw power they make up for with ingenuity. Stuff like mastering the Asimov Worms.

Every nation brings something very potent to the table. Don't write one off out of perceived weakness.

As well, something that seems utterly horrifying can still be salvaged. Some nations you help will have the incentive to aid the ones around them if they get in trouble.

Finally, keep in mind geography. The more demons can streak havoc in a nation, make it unstable, the more likely they can start an invasion from that location. Some locations will naturally last longer than others in terms of resisting the invasion, corruption, etc.

The ultimate goal should be to keep as much of the world going as possible and contain the threat. Writing off the northern half of the world to a force that quintessentially has infinite numbers of disposable people to throw at you is unwise.
@Everyone: I'll be able to do character sheet reviews and the like later. I figured I should offer some sneak peaks at the missions and explain some shit while I could before I had to run to work.

Index/Summary

Kingdom of Renalta: Find Angel Enclave, Investigate Demon Incursion. (Anti-Terrorism, Recruiting.)
The Imperium: Assist Florence in finding the Eternal Soul Gem. (Dungeon Delving.)
Kingdom of Rheinfeld: Assist in mediating between the Republic and the Templar Order, Investigate Demon Incursion. (Defend and Diplomacy.)
Kingdom of Liveria: Save the Crown-Princess! (Rescue Mission.)
The Goblin Holds: Investigate rumours of Demonic Incursion, assist King Xixis with his “silent task”. (First Contact, Diplomacy, Anti-Terrorism.)
The Free Holds: Assassinate the leader of the Warlord Bands and his Succubi “Helper.” (Contract Killing, Destroy Demonic Incursion.)
The Underdark Coalition: Find the Crown, convince Illithids to join the Coalition. (Dungeon Delving, Diplomacy.)
Kingdom of Tuleria: Stop the Assassin before he kills Varro or Janelle! (Mystery, Anti-assassination.)
The Amazons: Slay the Gluttony-Drake before it can destroy the Amazonian civilization. (Hunt, Alliance-building.)

Note that out of all nine missions (which will have more information than their summaries, obviously), you can all only do a maximum of five. This means you will have to choose four to leave to their own devices. As well, since these missions are no longer tutorial missions or otherwise, the stakes are much higher. Not taking a mission results in very harsh consequences for that nation. Such as not taking the Underdark Coalition mission will result in the coalition falling apart and the Underdark altogether being weakened and vulnerable to demonic incursion. Failure to help the Amazons will result in the loss of their entire civilization. So on and so forth.

On the other hand, the nations you choose to assist, should you be successful, will throw everything they have to help you. You'll make contacts for later missions, and the factions you're helping will be more than glad to help you get out of a pinch in the missions they've assigned you to do.

Choose wisely, and prepare to live with the consequences of your decisions. You'll have the opportunity to achieve great power, make potent alliances, and save great swathes of people. On the other hand, due to your limited resources, you'll also have to pick and choose which nations have to suffer from neglect, and potentially, which nations will be the invasion points for the Nine Hells. That is: While one nation may seem more useful to you, another nation you might opt to initially abandon might be a very powerful point for the demons to invade from.

Be careful and good luck, when the time comes to choose who it is you will save, and who it is you will be forced to leave to their own devices.
Jig said Well, yeah, I agree with him. Overlapping character traits and roles can definitely be used and used well (exactly as in the example of rivalry I gave). It's just that I kinda think doing this well needs an awareness of who the other characters are in the RP and that generally means reading their sheets and OoC communication with the player.

No it doesn't. All it requires is a willingness to communicate in the IC and collaboratively tell the story. You don't have to acquaint yourself with the other characters OOCly to do that, as your character will learn about them by interacting with them. Spotting similarities they can then react appropriately.

Jig said Say, the RP's setting is a community in which werewolves are despised, and the player makes a werewolf character,

Special Snowflake Syndrome at its finest? Why would anyone do this. It would be far more dramatic to start out as a 'normal' or otherwise and then become a lycanthrope over the course of events, whether or not the character is sympathetic towards them. Then it would be actual character growth and not a character whose entire arc has already been partially completed in the background.

Remember the golden rule: Show, don't tell. Don't say character X is powerful, display it. Don't say character X is despised, show it, coordinate with the GM because (s)he's the only one who has to know all of this information.

Jig said While we wrote differently and the characters were a bit different in their interactions and such, ultimately, their character arcs and storylines were basically the same.

Then what do you care if they read your CS or not? It worked out in the end anyway, naturally, dynamically.
