History 101: Spam, for a while, had certain unmentionable wonderful people, who would go into TinyChat and Skype, and demand women on RPG (most underaged to boot) give them nudies. They used coercion and manipulation amongst other things, and some succeeded, and even spread them around the site.

Spam now is pretty harmless.

Spam when it became a thing was something foul enough that I asked for its shut down for two years because I genuinely wondered if the site would get a child pornography smackdown.

So no, it's not really too outrageous to see why some would still look at spam first in the event of any problems related to sexual content, considering spam has been a hive of illegal shit before.

As for bronies and furries, my general opinion is "I don't really care", and people that do, are the definition of the "first world problems" generation.

Hell it's fine for both of you to look at each other and go "your character is dumb/I don't get why you made your character do that", but avoid accusations, because once it passes the realm of character disagreements to personal accusations, I'll be forced to do something I don't like doing.

Morality as an overall whole is objectively derived from subjective viewpoints and cultures of the times. It's the reason why a woman showing her breasts out in public is considered a horrible thing but immense levels of grotesque violence shown to children in cartoons is perfectly fine here in North America.
