Okay, I see what you're coming from, but it's pretty much either it's back up, someone saves Newt's ass, or she's dead. It would kind of suck if I just got pulled out of the story just because I misunderstood the mechanics of Ash's character... there's no way for her to just magically move out of a free fall into a spinning death machine without magic.

Nooooot quite actually. While we are playing fast and loose, I'm still sticking to my one post = one round = one minute rule. And by that ruling, Newt's portal should be on cooldown this post. Granted it does save some confusion, but at the same time only adds new one since now we have to make sense of how you're able to spend a minute falling about twenty feet above the ground. You may have to edit that Diggerton, otherwise everyone else will also have up to a minute or two to use for their actions. And that could result in an even bigger clusterfuck.
What? One round passed, Luscius. Hence one minute passed, hence it's back up. I know it's a bit contrived but it technically follows your system.
Mang, dis time dilation is really messing with my sense of time now. XD
I figured it was a bit of a stretch to have the portal back up, but it fits the rules and was a pretty convenient way out of our problem.

Newt realized there was absolutely no way her attack could be successful. Between the Lancer flying at her and the arms of death spinning below her, she had to escape. Luckily her portal was back up. She opened up a portal beneath her, falling through. Unfortunately there was no way to land on her feet. The exit to the portal opened vertically next to the Black King. Newt sprawled onto the ground, quickly getting up. She listened to the King's orders, but the odds of survival for the new Black Guild were lowering. With only three members against the army of bandits, and the room now filling with poisonous smoke rapidly lowering visibility.
"If I might suggest, perhaps retreat is the best option for now? At least until we get some responses to the all-call you sent out. We won't be able to fight long with this smoke stuff filling the room. It's getting hard to see, and we're greatly outnumbered... unless of course you had some way of dealing with this..." As Newt spoke to the King she worked on helping Flan clear the bandits charging the king. She sent a flaming sword flying into the head of one nearby, not giving him time to react. She sent out the rest of her imps, three in total, to provide a small distraction for the chargers. She knew they wouldn't last long.

No, it's more like Soloist has three arms (A fact I neglected), two are going horizontally and one is moving vertically, if I understand correctly.
Alright, since I don't really want to write a one paragraph post, and for the sake of fluidity, I'll just ask straight up.
Diggerton, in my post, Soloist was somersaulting through the air. Her Heavy Arms are positioned from her back, and she's vertically spinning. More importantly, while her two Heavy Arms would be positioned more around her sides, her Land Demolisher is positioned at the center of her back. By attempting to land on top of her, Newt would be, metaphorically speaking, jumping into the blades of a helicopter. Can you tell me what she's going to do in response to it, if you think that she'd be able to react in time? Because it's probably going to smack her down into the ground if it lands.

A click, and then a boom, as the Land Demolisher’s hammer smashed into Yuuki’s boots mid-stride. In an instant, she was blown forwards, flying past the imps and narrowly dodging the swing of a berserker. Somersaulting through the air, her two Heavy Arms extending to their maximum length of two meters to sweep and catch the fragile mage.
'Sweep' and 'Catch' makes it sound a lot more like Solist is stretching her arms horizontally and Soloist is moving a little to the left or right of Newt, not spinning vertically.
But are the other three also falling there? Or did he get intercepted partway through?
Newt opened a portal so she could fall onto Soloist with her sword. Rofls sent Lancer rocketing towards Newt who was falling towards Soloist. Now both Arms Slave and the stealthed bandit are falling towards Lancer. Until all three of us get to post however we plan on dodging each attack we don't know how it's going to turn out. Basically you have to post how Soloist dodges, then I'll take care of Newt, than Rofls gets his go.
Arms Slave, Rocket Lancer, and Lvl 5 Stealth are all falling towards Newt? Who is falling on top of Soloist?
