Mayat smiled a bit, looking back towards Liana's room quickly. "I'm pretty dangerous myself, don't forget, before I joined up here I was a mercenary." She stretched, resting her hands behind her head. "Besides that, I have no objection to letting her choose. And I'm more interested in the walk to the job, and back, than the job itself. Fighting is good and all, but skill with words is what politics are." She nodded, noting her dismissal, and followed Jamie back up the stairs, and sighed as she was ordered to guard duty, but didn't complain. Once she had gotten into her post, she leaned against the wall, and smiled at Sasha as she came over. "Fine day we're having." Her voice was laden with sarcasm.

Mayt --- Council Building Halls

"Got it." Mayt said, keeping a step behind Penny, sword at the ready now. He felt somewhat unsure as they got closer, but he was more than confident that he and Penny could seal it away again. He was completely sure there was no way they could kill the thing, seeing as the council locked whatever it was up instead of killing it. He tensed a little, realizing that the council was one of the most powerful magic entities in Fiore, so not being to stop something must mean something. "If this thing proves too much for us, promise you won't fight it until you die. That would be a waste of life, and unnecessary at that."

Melina --- Outside Council Building

Melina placed her hand on top of Karn's palm gently, and most of the blood would evaporate into energy, leaving a dollop on the tip of her finger, which she puts in her mouth for a moment. "I just wanted your blood so I could pop in and say hi whether your here there or across the continent. And it allows me to interact with your blood as if it were my own, limitedly of course. I couldn't use that ability to kill you, but I could slow an internal injury should you have one." She gently put a hand to his head, rubbing gently. "I was just being polite in giving you the choice, most people give me their blood whether they like it or not. That, and the more tabs I have on Phoenix Wing, the less likely they are to sneak up on me."

I'm starting a post as well, don't post until I do Caits pls. Edit: Also, where is Penny going specifically? I've been waiting eternity for her to get there since I don't know where she's going and she's in the lead anyway, so Mayt can't get there first.

True, but of all people, Melina and Mithera are the best candidates. They'd both be pretty effective in a fight, uninjured (Well, Melina got a few scratches, but that just makes it worse for her opponent), and at full or more-than full strength

Allen smirked as Angelo just chose to leave. Curling his lips in a smile, he started forwards, adjusting his glasses just a little. "Myth, weapon form." Myth obliged immediately, falling smoothly into his hand. Walking to the empty space, he held the sword in both hands. "Soul resonate." He closed his eyes, focusing for a few moments, and after not long, Myth broke apart into his chain form, and turned completely black. Keep it in check, Allen thought to himself, striking the ground several times, leaving marks. The way he was striking made Myth look like he had no limit to how far he could stretch, which was easy, since he couldn't safely stretch him out to full length. After a few moments he ended the resonation, letting Myth change back into his human form. He smiled at Maka, confident that was easily worth a passing grade.

Oh, my friend linked this together for me: Karn calls Mayt "Mayty" "Matey" is what you can call crew members of a ship. We were shipping characters earlier. Karn breaks the fourth wall and sees into the future. Edit: I just realized, it is entirely possible that Melina could save the day here.

Mayat nodded as the Guild Master explained that she had been on jobs, and raised her voice just a little. "In that case, I would like to accompany her on a job. I'd be interested in knowing what our future queen is capable of, and who she is." She crossed her arms, her stance suggesting she will be adamant on this. "I don't want to accidentally pave way for a tyrant in disguise. As noble as she seems so far, and knowing how you'd try and raise her, nothing is definite, and I like to think of myself as a good judge of character." She waited for his response, looking defiant.

Mayt nodded to Penny, smirking. "If it was simple, we wouldn't need most of the guild to do it." He motioned for her to go on ahead, and he drew his sword, holding it at his side, ready. "We should be ready for anything, and we must be prepared to fight alright? God, I wish Damian was here."

Melina --- Outside Council Building

Melina ruffled Karn's hair a little. "Alright then, and when we get there you should clean up, you're dirty as all hell." She smiles a bit, not realizing he has a fear of water. Smiling, she looked at him. "Would it be okay if I got some of your blood?"
