"C'mon, on your fee-" Jinta was about to help Jun up when he saw Yoshikazu charge him. In a split second motion, he raised the crowbar and successfully deflected the giant mans attack, though not what came next. In his other hand, Yoshikazu held a large knife. He'd pinned Jinta against the wall and the knife was edging closer and closet to his face..."Hurry up and get outta here, Beaumont-San!" Jinta yelled. From where she was, Jun could make out a faint smirk escaping Jinta's lips. "I got this..."

Shakily, Jun got up, and after a few breaths, let out a shrilly scream that would've convinced most that she herself was a spirit from hell. While she screamed, she charged straight at the zombified man, and literally ran into him. It wasn't even a tackle.

That sound, it was familiar to Jun. familiar...With a loud crash, the door to the Change Rooms was knocked right off its hinges, barely missing Jun and Jinta. And, to both their horrors, standing in the doorway was none other than Yoshikazu...."Uuuaaaaaaaggggghhh... AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!" The man grunted, evidently enraged, as he spotted Jun and Jinta. Remarkably, it seemed his head had been snapped back into place, although one could quite easily see the visible bone jutting from the side of the giant man's neck. In his right hand was now not a pipe but what appeared to be some kind of sharp, long, metal instrument, somewhat like a lance, though smaller and less rounded. "Crap! Not this freak!" Jinta raised his crowbar in defence. "Jun, get behind me. When I say so, run." He ordered her, his tone firm and cool, despite the situation...

Jin could only stumble backwards in fear as she saw that man from before.

From there, she could only quiver her lower jaw in fear. Her teeth chattered quietly, and paired with that was a whimper of pathetic proportions.

"Damn, why do you have to be so freakin' tall? I feel like I'm a Merry Midget talkin' to Snow White or somethin'." Jinta chuckled as he nervously scratched the back of his head, his eyes failing to make contact momentarily. "It was nothin'. And you don't need to bother 'bout repaying my ass until we get outta this hellhole, 'kay?" He beamed a smile and nodded. "Now, let's go find our fri-"Jinta seems to have cut himself off.... He looks like he's on alert... "You heard that?"

"...no."

Jun lets go, and listens intently for another noise.

"Should we run for it?"

"Y-yeah," Jinta replied a little uneasily. Her sudden hug took him off-guard momentarily, though, as usual, he quickly regained his composure. He shook his head. "It's only natural to save someone you care for. I didn't have a choice in saving you. As for whether or not it's raining...." Jinta pointed to the window, which had, evidently, been showcasing the downpour for however long they'd been in the room. "I got a drink. That rainfall...you could probably drown in it if you were half retarded." He chuckled slightly at his own silly joke, awaiting Jun's reply.

"...s-sorry if I can't think about the weather instead of...not dying," she smirks. "Or...thinking of ways to repay you. I know you try to hide it, but I know you're a good kid."

Standing a few inches taller than him, Jun seemed...older. She was only what would be equivalent to a sophomore in the US, and she certainly wasn't as smart as a young adult, but her referring to her peers as...children, not equals, and paired with her...developed stature...

"...thank you, Jinta."

This one felt genuine.

What she finds is what appears to be an amulet or locket of sorts. It shows absolutely signs of wear and, oddly enough, touching it makes Jun feel...safer? The amulet also seemed to be shrouded in some kind of unseen light. It truly was strange...Jinta studied the trinket before peeking his head out the door leading outside for a few moments. As soon as he looked back inside, Jun saw his face and upper uniform were completely soaked."Looks like there's a pool out there, though...it's probably best we don't go out there. Don't question it." Jinta sighed as he looked back to the door they entered through. "Shall we?"

Jun waits for Jinta, before wrapping her arms around his waist.

"...th-thank you for before, when you rescued me. That...and...your entire upper half is wet. Is it raining outside?"

"Wait one moment!" He replied, grabbing Jun by the arm in case she were about to run off. "Mister, or miss, floaty orb thingy? You said something about me succumbing to some 'Darkening' thing, right? What is it?" Jinta seemed serious to know this, especially since the orb specifically mentioned him when it told them about the Darkening before..."The Darkening," the orb began, as though about to tell a long tale, "is, essentially, the true curse within this school... Lost souls collect here to create it, and it's presence lingers around shadows and corpses... The more horrific things you see, the easier it becomes...for the Darkening to take you over..." The orb paused, as though it had finished it's tale, though continued before Jinta could ask anything. "It's very existence is based upon sanity...like a virus is to get around immune systems... You'll notice it beginning to take over...because you're vision will become worse...becoming bleaker, colourless, and increasingly difficult to focus... Once this occurs, I suggest you take a breather... If you chose to push on, beware...it'll cause you to lose control when you don't expect... It can cause you to kill those around you, or yourself...I would know... I was a victim of it...""So, is that all you wished to know?" The spirit asked. Jinta nodded for the both if them. "Well, good... By the way, check one of the pockets on my body..." The orb floated over to its body, as though assessing it. "Inside...is an amulet charged with energy... It's of more use to you than me... You can use it to knock unwanted spirits away..." The orb then floated back to the two of them. "Goodbye." And with that, the white and blue orb vanished....

Jun walks tentatively back into the shower room, and begins to look through the corpses pockets. Of course, with Jinta in tow. It might be suicide to do anything alone at this rate.

"Although I don't quite know as much as others about this place... I can tell you that you are currently in some kind of spiritual realm... That takes the form of Heavenly Host Elementary... A demolished elementary school..." The orb spoke, floating back and forth. "This place has many dangers... the most prominent being the child spirits and the axe-man that roams the halls... Though you must always beware of those around you... If they lack a strong will or have a fragile mental state, beware..."Jinta looked at the orb in confusion. "So you're saying to trust no one? Heh, no thanks! I have faith in my friends. I mean, not all of them, though most of them...""Even those with faith such as yourself...can succumb to the Darkening..." The orb toldn the two.

"W-well...thank you! If there's other people here, we might have to search for them! Jinta, we should go now!"

Her confidence seemed to surge with every passing moment she was with him. Only a few minutes ago, it seemed, she was terrified.

At the same time, though, who knows what might happen if she was isolated for too long?

"And from all kinds of ages," Jinta remarked. "I'm no forensic expert, however we've already seen that there are some people...who've been here longer than others." Jinta replied, choosing his words carefully so to avoid provoking Jun. "Thank you for helping me..." A shallow voice spoke from behind. Jinta spun around, surprised, only to find some kind of...floating blue orb. Yet, this orb was a lot whiter than it was blue. "You've made the pain go away... I might not be able to get out of here, but...I'm eternally grateful..." The orb apparently spoke."" Jinta muttered under his breath.

"Y-you're welcome! U-um...before you go...can you tell us...

...where are we...and how did we get here? I-I mean, was there an earthquake for you too when you got here?"
@Spriggs You'd be a very fun end-game boss, especially if Kafka teamed up with you. xD

At Jun's request, Jinta helped hold the body steady whilt Jun untied the wire. Once it was completely undone, Jinta carefully maneuvered the girl down to the ground, making a notion as though he were closing her eyes before making the symbol of the cross on his chest. Once done, he stood and turned to Jun. "Anything you've got to say to this chick? I'm pretty much done..."

Jun simply bows one last time before leaving, Jinta's hand in hers.

"...I think...maybe there's more people like that man. So many students here...dead. I don't think he could've done this alone.

...do you think this is related to the Sachiko curse? N-not that I'm superstitious...but...I...we. We're seeing all these people our age here from all kinds of schools."
