There was no noise heard in the dead wood except that of dried leaves clinging to the bottom of the bare and blistered feet of the tired group. This place was much larger than the leader, Avery, had expected. The tall trees swayed and bent towards the ground with their branches eerily enough protruding toward the silver light sky like undead fingers grasping for life. The rancid smell floating throughout the ever still air reminded the men of what was left of their people in Redhoran not two moons ago. Rotten flesh. 

Lord Avery, how much longer must we endure this foul place? If any more ice touches my backside I am sure I might freeze.  Martus whispered in question. The moment the group had entered the wood his spine had been shaking in fear, and he knew Gallon, and Bastion had felt the same. 

Capture your spine. We do not rest until we find the lady of Silver Light. Avery boomed. He spoke like he was reassuring the wood he would survive, Martus thought, or maybe himself.

Lucien - King of the night creatures, and eventual mate to the Silver Light. He is by birth of wolf's blood. He is a rather cold character, with a very high intellect. Avery's first ally.

Mortella Morgul - Sister to the Elven Leader Gwendolyn, her ferocity teams up with Lucien's brother to create quite a problem for the allies.

Gwendolyn - Elven leader, possible mate to Avery, and second ally.

Avalon - Brother to Lucien. He is of Wolf's blood as well, and unlike his brother he appears warm and sincere.
