Current If your ears are burning, it means someone is talking about you. Usually they're saying "He's on fire."

Notice: I'll be going away from the 9th to the 19th, I might still be able to update at least partially, but I can't confirm this, so expect me to be absent.

This land is littered with lunatics and killers, they smile like crocodiles while they beat you like gorillas.

I sincerely apologize and cannot stress enough how bad I feel for leaving so suddenly without any traces. Some shit happened and being in high school with college coming around the corner has eaten a lot of my time from the site. I know the absence caused frustration with other roleplayers, and for that I truly apologize.

Well... thankfully I am a person of pretty infinite patience and, seeing as you're in deep enough into this and the other two have yet to return, i'm willing to let you stay. So, go ahead and post to get this ball rolling again.
"Right..." Vane followed him, holding his weapon in both hands as they crossed the darkened corridor. Once they were roughly at the halfway point, a loud thud was heard from in front of them as the thing they had seen was suddenly upon them, screeching loudly. Now it was closer, they could get a better idea of what it was. It appeared to be a torso from a suit of armour, spindly clawed fleshy appendages poking out of its arm holes and its bottom. In the neckhole, a nub of flesh lined with razor sharp snapping teeth was poking out, the beast using its remarkable speed to latch onto Eldarin's leg with a bite.
The stone lit up a decent length of the corridor and it briefly showed the ceiling. Something scuttled out of the light... it was hard to catch a full look at it, but it looked like it had four legs and an oddly shiny body, but what it truly was, was unclear.
"What was that?" Vane queried with worry in his voice.
Beyond the next door, a dark stretch of wide corridor continued onward. The torches were dimmed in this particular area as shadows were cast along from the ceiling... there were faint scratching sounds up ahead. Vane had his blade out.
"Do you hear that? I feel suspicious..."
The next room appeared to be a common room of some sort. Ancient tables lined the centre of the room with 5 seats on either side, seating 20 in total. A few old sets of cutlery and crockery still beset the tables, dusty as the rest of the temple. There were a few statues standing against the walls, however none of them were armed with weaponry and all were still and quiet. There was another door on the opposite end of the room.
"I wonder, what could this temple have been for..." Vane thought aloud as he walked behind Eldarin.
"Seeing as how this room bears no way forward..." Vane swept a hand around the room, showing it did indeed have no door whatsoever, he nodded. "I say returning and checking this other entrance sounds like a good idea indeed. Lead on my friend, I shall shadow your footsteps and fight by your side." the knight said proudly.
"Good heavens." Dren retracted and replaced his hat after the introduction. "Bed warming? I must surely at least buy you a drink first, madam." He retorted politely... inside however, he couldn't help but wince at what a fast talker this woman was. "And perhaps under more pleasant circumstances than the dingy insides of this ship wreckage."

He tipped his hat slightly at the other. "A pleasure, Miss Karn, Miss Wylde. Forgive me but I am a further mite curious... I seem to have gotten mixed up in this situation by mere happenstance so, I am unfamiliar on this whole... kidnapping a princess, thing. I mean, i've seen your 'boss' refer to her as a princess..." he glanced briefly over to the sleeping form. "But I must say, looks don't exactly relate to royalty if you catch my drift..." He more or less had this figured out by now, but he wanted to hear it from one of them. They were the potential terrorists after all.
"Well." Vane began. "I know it currently fills the river of this land and it's not safe to drink. I also believe this kingdom may have used it to some degree... i've heard tale of blacksmiths that could use ichor to strengthen ones weapons and even create fantastical ones out of unlikely materials." He explained, the holes in his knowledge pretty glaring. "Thus, my current goal is to find Bellmoral, which I believe is behind this dusty fossil of a temple."
"Nonsense, an extra hand could very well have saved my skin." He assured him with a little gesture of gratitude. "Why yes, you're correct! I am on an important mission for my kingdom of Windloft. They have sent me to scout out this kingdom and learn the secrets and source of the Ichor. Just in case, you know?" he sheathed his mighty blade on his back and held a hand of friendship out to him. "The name's Vane, Vane of Windloft. And yourself?"
Seeing Hitori tend to the large red one, Dren stifled a slight feeling of unsettlement from his bizarre actions... after all, he had promised to understand that he had a certain way with things. Albeit an unnatural, freakish and slightly disgusting way of things. Besides, it could've been worse... not that he was trying to think of such things.

He took a moment to look upon the newcomers to their little group. Amidst the mook faced workers he spied the two talkative ones, not to mention the ones that stood out like a black mage amongst white mages. The first, a blonde demihuman, feline judging by the ears. Gosh she was skinny as a rake, Dren thought. Not to mention how she was dressed... even he felt his rags beneath his mighty cloak were somewhat outclassed by it. It was hard to determine skill from one such as them... good things in small packages, he supposed.

And this other, female once again, and dressed a little provocatively. He wouldn't hesitate to call her attractive, but could spy the thorns on this rose, not to mention that rapier she was keeping on her person. He felt the Anelace at his belt shudder in jealousy at the sight. If he ever needed to learn swordplay, this woman might well be worth asking... not that now was a good time, of course. What an odd pair the two of them made... still, it's not like this company would be getting any lighter any time soon. As little reason as he had to trust, he may as well make nice, so, he approached the newcomers.

"Madams." he introduced himself formally. "It would we are stuck here for the time being, I doubt our 'boss' will want us moving whilst we have people unable to transport. So, I believe we will be getting comfortable." He removed his hat and bowed slightly. "Dren Rache, at your service." Once again, he'd pride himself on these manners til the day they got him punched in the face.
