Marie smiled, picking up the snake and letting it writhe around her neck, she listened calmly as it hissed in her ear, though she was afraid of it she was sure it wouldn't bite...at least she hoped it wouldn't. Always a maybe... she let her thoughts trail off as she watched Ellis. "I control probability. I'm like the human form of Murphy's Law but cooler. If something could happen, I can make it happen. A rattlesnake could totally appear on your lap, and so could a twenty dollar bill. Which means I could make it happen, you could also ace a test, or win the lottery, or even get the girl. You could also have a freak car accident and die. Which means I could make that happen. But I'm not sure if I would yet. It depends." She thought of how her mother died, it had been a bad accident.
