The soreness in his fingers was soon quieted by a tingling, numb sensation. And, though you couldn't tell by looking, his biceps trembled as the burning gradually intensified. His attention was brought to Rei's voice warning about another boulder. Could he make it in time? Kamui had just begun to move for his sword when Shinda repositioned and drew his bow. With expert aim he was able to let out a blast of wind, which pushed the boulder over just enough to miss them. Kamui let out a sigh of relief. He'd take a closer look at the archer's quiver, and an idea came to mind."Shinda, please allow me to hold your quiver. I may be able to augment the arrows in a way that serves us here." He reached for the quiver as Shinda passed it down and rested it between his thighs. He'd have to move quickly. No telling when Shumatsu would get bored again and find another rock to throw. Using great caution, Kamui slipped the group of arrows out of their container until he could see the tips. He placed his thumb over his index finger and cracked a knuckle. This caused several strings of lightning to emerge and dance along his entire hand. The lightning crackled as he passed his palm over each arrowhead and applied the same effect. He slid the arrows back into the quiver before deactivating the lightning from his hand and passing the arrows back up to Shinda. Hopefully they'd be able to take advantage of the earths natural susceptibility to lightning. And with any luck, the arrows would have the power to destroy any other falling deterrents.

The young trio were still deciding on an approach when falling pebbles stole their attention. Kamui looked up and saw the large boulder Shumatsu had dropped on them. He jumped to the side as the rest of the team evaded the falling rock. Shinda had created a rope for them to climb with his arrow. A brilliant idea, though Kamui didn't like the thought of hanging on by a lifeline. He'd prefer to keep his fate in his own hands. If he could scale the wall near the others, he'd be able to create footholds for them if they were to fall. He'd lift his hand and watch as phalanges protruded out of his fingertips. This technique was called Hollow Bullet, but he'd be modifying its application here. Instead of firing these bones like projectiles, he extended them and used them to dig. "I will climb up beside the rope", he'd announce before jabbing knife hands into the stone and pulling himself up. The weight of his body is enough to force the earth down and create space for half a foot to step in. One after another, he drilled into the stone and swam his way up the cliff. He stayed just beneath the others, planning to use his mobility to catch one of them should they lose their grip. His eyes stayed focus on the top of the cliff, which seemed to be much higher from this perspective. He'd have to channel all of his grit and determination to ensure his team made it to their destination on time. He stopped for a moment to rest before shouting up to the others, "Should one of you fall, reach out and I will be here to catch you. There are also footholds along the trail following me."

The day had started just like any other. Kamui woke himself up at 5am sharp and ran around the perimeter of the village. He liked when his face met the sun rising at the eastern gates. This had become somewhat of a daily ritual for him. He found himself wanting for energy on the days that didn't begin this way. He'd complete his run and return home to prepare for the Academy. Today was a little special. It was graduation day. Most of his classmates would become Genin today, and Kamui was listed towards the top half of the class. He never sought any praise or congratulations from anyone. The boy was not accustomed to receiving any sort of outside validation. His motivation came from something internal. A deeper sense of responsibility.. or fear. Perhaps that a day would come where he isn't able to protect what's important to him. Currently the only thing he had left to worry about was himself. He gathered his things and made for the Ninja Academy. "Shumatsu Dokumo", Kamui proclaimed to himself as his newly appointed sensei beckoned them to follow. Kamui was quiet on the way to the training grounds, but stuck close to his team. Shumatsu Sensei had instructed them to climb up a cliff that was easily 100ft high. Right before he himself leapt effortlessly to the top. Rei was the first to move. He approached the cliff and summoned his comrades. Kamui appreciated the boy's gung-ho spirit and stepped after him, carefully watching the earth in front of them. "Sensei could have planted boobytraps along the cliff.. or worse. We should do our best to stay together and watch out for anything strange", he'd say after placing a hand on the wall. Kamui had no intentions of simply scaling the wall himself. It'd be useless if the others couldn't make it. Best to stay together and have everyone help out where they can.

Kaguya Clan - Most of the clansmen were killed off during the purge and the few surviving have scattered across the land, seeking solace. Members of the clan usually had black hair. And the scarce number of them born with the bloodline trait, Shikotsumyaku, all have bone white hair. This is usually met with fear, as the Kekkei Genkai is widely known to be extremely dangerous in battle. It allows the selected clansmen to fortify and manipulate their bones to be used for weapons and augmented taijutsu.

Kamui is difficult to read. His face usually does not tell you much, unless he is angry or hungry. He likes to keep to himself and mind his surroundings. Not because of any shyness or anxiety, but because he isn’t sure what it might be that sets him off today. He isn’t the most social person, but can partake in some good banter on occasion.

Kamui is civil for the most part. However, he does struggle with controlling his explosive rage. Soothing music is usually the only way to calm him down once he’s snapped (other than violence). His inexplicable (and annoying) sense of compassion for others suffering is another thing that gets him into trouble. Kamui does not consider himself to be a good person, but he cannot stand the sight of blatant abuse towards the weak and needy. He is the type to speak up and stand against this. He can often be found fiddling with one of his bone made instruments, or maybe even relaxing on a tree branch at times. He tries to remain calm as best he can and these practices help.

The Kaguya boy has been known to have an explosive anger. During the times when he does snap, there is really no telling what he’ll do. Though, to many people's surprise, the boy is actually quite compassionate and even caring at times (especially towards women and children). He keeps a hard, disciplined exterior because the world is hard. And abides by an oddly put together moral code that sees him as the master of his own fate.

Kamui is bold, cunning, and has an extremely strong sense of will and purpose. He will speak out against injustices he sees (even while in the middle of committing a crime himself.) Usually anything “wrong” he’s involved with has a justifiable reason behind it. As long as he can still sleep at night, he doesn’t mind letting go completely of any sense of law and order. He won’t unnecessarily bring pain to anyone (unless he’s snapped) and sometimes finds himself in situations defending the weak from an abuser. He can be kind to people, but to those that stand in his way there is no mercy or emotion.

Kamui was born in the Land of Water. His father was unknown and his mother was a wanted fugitive in the Mist village. Kaiya and the boy moved around quickly and often. Things would be quiet at first. Good even. But somebody would always end up making a huge fuss about his white hair. That's usually when they'd move again.

This time they were traveling between the borders of the Land of Water and the Land of Fire. Kaiya’s face was shrouded and she provided Kamui with one. She kept them mainly off the roads and just near the treeline. The path ahead seemed to start to close up and get tighter, focing them into the road. As they were just about to pass, leaves rustled off in the distance and before them stood two dark haired men with scars all over theirs faces.

Kaiya placed her sack on the ground and told Kamui to stay quiet. The taller man spoke first and told her to hand over their money and valuables if she didn't want her son to get hurt. He glanced at the boy and noticed.. something... his hair! The man drew a kunai and demanded Kaiya to tell him the boys name. Kaiya told the man Kamui was an orphan from the land of snow. She found him and was now his caretaker.

"Lies!" The man said. "That boy has the hair of a demon... and the blood of a demon! Ain't that right, Kaguya?!"

Silence frozen the room when suddenly Kaiya kicked her sack up and drew her sword out from the opening. She tossed a smoke bomb on the ground and threw a swarm of shuriken at the two men before here. One man yelled as she turned and reached for Kamui before taking off in the opposite direction. The men emerged from out out smoke cloud and gave chase.

They were about 10 meters behind Kaiya when one of them shouted, "Earth Style: Mud Swamp Jutsu!"

The ground before them would quickly turn into mud and a large wave of the liquid dirt would form, leaving a the area covered in mud. Kamui looked back while his wrist was being pulled by his mother. He would see this giant wave gaining on them and alert Kaiya. She would immediately stop and throw the boy out of the way, weaving a string of hand seals.

"Water Style: Great Floo-"

The wave slams directly into her and she is covered shoulder deep in the swamp. Her vision is blurry but she can make out two figure moving closer in front of her. The two men approach Kaiya, and focus their chakra to stand on the swamp.

"Where is the boy?"

Dazed, and her lungs filled with mud Kaiya just looks at the men blankly.

The sound of feet running on wood could suddenly be heard before Kamui appeared on top of the shoulders of one of the two men. He wasted no time before jabbing his fist against the rogues head and shot a 12-inched bone spike through his temple. The man dropped lifeless into the swamp.

Kamui sunk in as well, and stayed submerged to hide his location. The other man was speechless. It all happened so fast!

"What?! Tenzu!!" The man let out of cry of genuine pain over the loss of a comrade.

"Forget the money... I'll kill you both!!" The man furiously weaved a string of handsets. He reached down and placed his palms on the surface of the swamp. "Earth Style: Condensed Earth!!"

In almost an instant the muddy swamp became solid ground again. This great change in pressure would be enough to crush Kaiya’s ribcage and puncture a lung in the process. The only sound that could be heard as she slowly suffocated was a quiet, high pitched letting go of air.

The man smiled at Kaiya’s current state and assumed far worse for the boy who was completely submerged in the swamp. He had turned and began walking away when he felt a sharp pain in his ankle. He immediately fell to the ground. Once he gathered himself, he'd realize shuriken had been thrown into both his ankles. Except these shuriken were white in color and almost looked like they were carved out of teeth.

Kamui would suddenly burst out of the ground before the man, lightning covering his fist. He'd run over to the man and quickly slit his throat.

The threat was eliminated, but his mother was lost. Kamui walked over to her and sat there for some time. He'd dig her out and perform a proper burial for his sweet mother, who protected him until the end. The only person who showed him love. He kept her sword for memory.

Kamui would raise himself for the next years of adolescence. Surviving off the land and honing his skills. He would find himself near the Sound village gates when approached by a mysterious woman. She told him that the village was looking for strong, capable shinobi. And Lord Orochimaru had big plans for any who'd serve. Kamui wasn’t interested in serving anyone, but it did sound like an opportunity. He agreed and was enrolled into the Ninja Academy.

Kaguya has been playing music by flute with his mother since he was a child and is extremely gifted in that area.

Wind Release: Hollow Bullets - He points at his target and is able to blast small to medium sized bone fragments from his fingers. Like a pistol, these bullets are powerful enough to blow through wood and some metals. Kamui uses his wind nature to greatly increase this attacks spin and piercing power.

Lightning Release: Radioactive Tendons - Kamui is able to turn the chakra in his hands into electricity and shock his enemies. He is able to extend this electricity to any weapon he holds.

Kaiya’s Sword - Mad Requiem:

Castling- Kaguya is able to produce bone around the hilt and blade of the Requiem. He begins by extending the radius and ulna from his wrist along the weapon, effectively becoming one with the sword. This greatly increases its overall durability, weight, and destructive power. In order to prevent this technique from decreasing this weapon's slicing ability, Kamui stops the bone just short of the blade's edge and rounds the entire length of the blade with boney spike like teeth meant to shred and tear. While his swordhand is completely bound to the weapon, Kamui is unable to weave hand seals. He has trained to weave one handed seals to compensate for this, though certain jutsus casting times may be increased. This technique ultimately allows him to almost seamlessly manipulate the size and length of his sword by expanding his own bone.

Odachi Mode- He castles but instead of stopping the bone short, Kamui is able to extend the length and girth of the weapon indefinitely, however, more bone would require more chakra. This is usually used to turn the weapon into a Long Odachi, rather than a Nodachi.

Greatsword Mode- This is similar to the weapons Odachi form, but focused more so on girth and width than anything else. This mode's destructive power and force are fierce, becoming incredibly harder to stop him once he’s gained momentum. Extremely durable and resistant, due to being made entirely of Kaguya’s own bone, Kamui is able to use this form for defensive purposes as well as offensive. He himself possesses incredible lifting strength, and can swing the greatsword with two hands quite effortlessly. A good bit more effort is required if one-handed. He is still able to swing the weapon at about a slow medium speed.

Kamui is able to mimic traditional ninja tools by producing them with his bone (i.e. kunai, shuriken.) He also likes to keep smoke bombs on his person for distractions or quick escapes.

Kamui is a close to mid-ranged fighter, who focuses on power through speed. He has considerable brute strength, but prefers to take a more tactful and dexterous approach to battle. He is a proficient Taijutsu and Kenjutsu practitioner, blending speed and finesse to try and out manuervour and pummel his foes.

He makes great use of his Kekkei Genkai during combat. Able to shoot bone projectiles from the knuckles (or most parts of his body) while blending in attacks from Mad Requiem. If necessary, he is able to change his blade form for more power and reach.

For brutish encounters Kamui is able to take a more defensive stance, and creates plates of bone armor that protrude out of his skin and cover his limbs. He has an incredibly strong and durable body already due to being a Kaguya, but he’d rather not depend solely on this for protection in some situations.

Ninjutsu is almost an afterthought for Kamui, but he does have access to some ranged to mid ranged attacks. This is usually done through his nature releases, but he does have some bone exclusive techniques that work outside of his natural elements of lightning and wind. While his sword arm is merged with his weapon, Kamui is not able to weave hand seals. However, he has trained to weave one-handed, though this can increase cast time of certain jutsu.
