Ansen kept quiet, letting the group mingle with each other as he looked ahead at where the town was suppose to be. There were shapes of small houses and buildings, but a layer of fog concealed it from the plain eye's reach. Eventually, the Cianid stepped towards those stepping forward, chuckling quietly. "We'll have the quick and agile take a peek. Do not enter the town... As a matter in fact," The guardian said, scratching his chin for a moment then straightening his hat before continuing. "I'll take whoever steps forward to go ahead, but we will not go far ahead. Our backs will be seen by our comrades while we investigate this. Understood?"
Feress on the other hand was adjusting the grip of his staff, his attention shifting over to the girl who he took with him. "R-remember to stay close, okay?" The Kitsune said, his voice seeming nervous. He knew something wasn't right, but he couldn't put his paw on exactly what the threat would be. Lets just hope it isn't like the incident with Ansen.

Forum: Casual Interest Checks
Three months a go an RP was made based off the State Of Decay video game, a game where you find a home and try your best to survive the apocalypse. IT had a twist, though; that twist being the option to play as an anthro or somewhere in between. It died during the IC stage at a well... Milestone I didn't reach. I wasn't going to do it! Buuut, in celebration of State Of Decay's new expansion Lifeline I thought why not give it a shot?
With Lifeline available a new story can be made, or we can stick with the old story and use the characters from the last RP.
To those unaware of lifeline I provide you.. Ze trailer:
We can refer to lifeline's plot whereas while the Trumbull valley events are occurring, you will have escaped the deathtrap known as Danforth. The army is seen to have been pulling out, but there is word of one military platoon banding together and holding their current headquarters... It is known that helicopters do around these parts, maybe there is an opportunity to get out of this nightmare.
This will allow almost every character that is modern and well.. A person I guess: Soldiers, cops, civilians, PMC contractors, even scientists! And perhaps we can dip out of the plot and add our own enemies. . .

Name: Gerard Lewis ((Name is used both on duty and off duty))

Skills and abilities: Quick adaptation, uncanny reaction time ((Not saying he can dodge a bullet, but we can probably duck under the swing of a punch or even catch it)), espionage as well as counter espionage, Free running, Firearms training, hand to hand combat, explosives handling
Bio: Gerard was raised like your typical kid, having his times of goofing around and his times of hardcore studying and such. He had a family to love, a best friend who stayed by his side till the end, even had good grades at school. Many business would've killed for him to join their enterprise, but it was when he traded his gift for a badge that startled everyone. At the age of 20, Gerard Lewis became an officer of the law, specifically associated with a precinct in GCPD. Unfortunately, he was one of the very unlucky ones when it came to trouble, and his stubbornness is what got him to loose soo much and become the way he is.
He was a friendly person to almost everyone around him until the a year after he became a police officer. They say that the chances were slim to none for a cop like him to go through what he did, but those moments to him were buried emotionally, the only thing linking him to such events being old police reports. He experienced it all; murder, shootings, even the death of a partner, and over time that rocked his emotions around to the point he started to feel numb. He was planning to quit everything, but it was on a morning in a hospital that everything went a different path.
After wandering the halls in the hospital the man came across a child.. Or the child stepped in his way and looked up at him with a smile. Her name he couldn't recollect, but what she said fueled him up for the rest of his existence. "Excuse me sir... Are you a hero?"' She asked him, catching him by surprise.
"N-no.. Do I look like I am wearing a cape or anything like that?" Was his response, but her final reply was what triggered him...
"Silly officer.. You don't have to wear a badge or a suit or anything like that! It's right here," She said, tapping her chest before continuing. "Right here that proves if you're a good guy.. You just gotta be brave!" After that they continued to talk, heck they talked till the sun dropped and the kid's parents found her talking to him. They quickly went over to guide the child away, apologizing to the officer for her interruption. But before she left, she placed something in his hands, a small flower.
The next year were significantly better with crime dropping and plummeting to the floor, and he soldiered it through with a new found courage, yet he felt something, a presence following him. That feeling would go on for weeks, and in some occasions he caught a mysterious individual nearby observing him. It had been about three years since he worked under a badge, and on new years week, the officer was offered to work upstairs, in the federal district. It came with a catch, he would be joining ARGUS.
A gifted agent, and a gifted killer on command. That was what the government had in mind when Gerard's name came to the table. As a attachment to the ARGUS agency, he pretty much did what was needed to be done in order to accomplish the assignments given to him. To the general eye he was an able investigator and an exceptional member to the agency, but there was another side of him and another side of the government in which he works with.
With access to information and weapons agent Lewis knew a few dark things about the ARGUS, one of those secrets being himself. He was an agent by the books, but when given the order he becomes an assassin willing to take a life away if was necessary. To the federal government, sometimes a body bag is better than a jail cell, that is why they have people like him.
Other information:
Personality: Gerard is not necessarily a guy who follows protocol. He is determined to get the job done through whether it be legal or illegal means that could bring the threat of being charged and arrested. The agent can be laid back or stern and overall serious depending on the task at hand. He can also be reckless, willing to go to extreme bounds to get the task at hand done.
Equipment: DEFAULT- Two P99 handguns ((No additional ammo carried)) One Kimber 1911 handgun ((Three spare magazines)) Silencer ((Fits on the 1911)) Piano Wire, Cellphone, Two Zip Ties
In some situations he might take along a few more items such as a Taser or a rifle or even a Kevlar vest.
