Ansen staggered back and was raising his left arm to block a nasty blow coming his way when Arya came forward from the group and got onto the demon. He was quick to return to a combative stance and release the arrow he had readied for the fight, sending it into the chest. It didn't seem to be as effective as he wished to be and the cianid cursed under his breath upon realizing that. It was when Jason tossed him a arrow that he decided to keep to his bow for one final shot, and he shot as instructed, the guardian knocking the fire arrow in to shoot the demon who Arya was on. By the time he had shot, Ansen turned around to see whoever had attacked Jason to be right there in front of him, the demon kid he was suppose to look after with his back against a tree. A growl escaped him and he drew his sword, letting his bow fall to the ground when he had freed his grip to grab the sword. It was the ex-general's turn to start getting up close and personal.
Feress looked over his shoulder at Lyari, his ears twitching before he spoke up to the man. "If you wish to get in there to help your friends, I can take care of myself my friend. Feel free to go fight those bad guys!" The Kitsune said, a smile forming on his face as he gave a nod and returned his focus to the demons, his grip on his staff becoming tight then loose as he prepared to defend himself if something came his way.
